@perfectfifths Well, actually, my Mom’s not a big fan of fantasy. However, I have read all the Chronicles of Narnia, and (I don’t know if this counts) the Ascendance Trilogy. I’m not usually bothered by the magic (as long as there’s not a ton of it). I should look in the the Ilyon Chronicles, they sound interesting! Thanks for the suggestions!
@shannon Oh, definitely check them out! It’s one of my favourites, especially the third book, Samara’s Peril. It’s definitely for young adults, but it is a great story, and the characters are wonderful.
