I have started writing an autobiography and I was wondering: would you read an autobiography written by someone you have never heard of and is sort of a collection of stories told in a comical, quirky, and semi sarcastic writing voice?

February 20, 2018 at 4:29 pm #64277@hannah-c I would read an autobiography written by someone I’ve never heard of for the same reason I would read a book about a character I’d never heard of. 😀 It would just give it an extra flair for me to realize that the character was real…or semi-real.
Answer: Yes; as long as it was interesting. 🙂 And comical and sarcastic is usually interesting.

February 21, 2018 at 10:30 am #64311@hannah-c I would! I admire charm and humor in an autobiography 🙂
You can pronounce it however you want.
February 21, 2018 at 1:38 pm #64321@hannah-c Yep. If it was funny, and the narrator was entertaining, then I wouldn’t care if I didn’t know who they were. 😀

February 21, 2018 at 2:39 pm #64330@hannah-c I’m not sure if that would bother me in an autobiography. In, say, fantasy, it usually does, but only for part of the book. Short chapters around the climax to make everything feel like its slowing down and giving each moment significance can be great toward the end. I think, in an autobiography, it wouldn’t bother me as long as they weren’t all really short
