I’ve only seen the 2005 version (because that’s the only one on Netflix), but I loved it, and I thought the characters were portrayed very accurately, even if some events were shifted just slightly. The acting, in my very humble and unexperienced opinion, was spot-on, and I fell in love with the characters. I’ve watched it three times in the last 9 months or so.
