Okay, so I’m not actually sure where to put this, but I’ve been enjoying practicing designing book covers. I’m like… not very good at it, but the only way to grow is to practice, right? Anyway, I’d love to design a mock cover for you if you’d allow me to. If you’re up for it, give me your book’s title, genre, a blurb, and a few elements you’d like to see on the cover. Oh– also the name you’d like on the cover if you wouldn’t mind. *tips hat* I might not get to it for a few days, as I have the PSAT tomorrow and need to catch up on some writing, but I’ll hopefully have the first ones out by the end of this week.

ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 13, 2020 at 9:17 pm #85824@e-k-seaver That’s so cool! 😀 Here’s a link to the blurbs of my current projects. For Ignite and/or Embers, I’d always imagined the cover featuring eyes with fire in them, like the protagonist has. 🙂

www.jennaterese.comOctober 14, 2020 at 6:40 am #85825@jenwriter17, okay, I’ve got some pretty cool ideas. One question—what race is your protagonist? I want to make sure I get her skin tone right on the cover. 🙃

www.jennaterese.comOctober 14, 2020 at 11:17 am #85829@e-k-seaver Ooh, sounds fun. Hmmm…let’s see.
Title: Thirteen Ways to Infinity
Genre: Fantasy
Blurb:
There are 13 worlds. There are Magic Users. There is a question: “Why is there no happy ending for a Magic User?”
13 different installments, following so many different storylines that somehow entwine together.
This is the story of the Magic Users, and their search for a happy ending.
This is the story of their mad Crown Prince, who tries to save them all.
Elements: A blue sky with clouds. Maybe some stray balloons or kites? Or some Japanese furin.
Good luck on the PSAT! I’d love to see what you come out with.
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysOctober 14, 2020 at 11:29 am #85830@e-k-seaver Oh oops, I forgot the name, haha. LinYang is fine, case sensitive. 🙂

@e-k-seaver oh. my. word. Awesome! (I’m totally gushing because I’m obsessed with book covers and have been wondering what Bound and Determined‘s will look like for, like, two years now…)
Author name: Grace A. Johnson
Title:Â Bound and Determined
Genre: Historical romance
Blurb:
They had all thought it past. Yet now the storm has returned.
Atlantic Ocean
1686
A wicked twist of fate—or perhaps the hand of God—has landed Captain Rina Bennet in the most precarious situation yet. When her husband and the father of her twin boys leaves at the behest of a family friend, she is left to take charge of the ship she has not sailed on in two years, accepting the responsibility of a dwindling crew, half of which don’t even know her as captain. Saddled with two toddlers, she struggles in vain to erect some form of normalcy and order upon her ship…
Then the past suddenly appears to haunt both her and her quartermaster Keaton, in the forms of an old friend and an old life.
Rina has to make a judgment call when the ghosts come knocking, a call that could mean either life or death—for both an innocent girl and herself. The storm has returned.
Elements: A color scheme including yellows, oranges, and greys (like a sunrise); large ship (totally optional); yellow dress on the heroine. Heroine is Caucasian (fair skin), blond hair, blue eyes.
I’m sure this is fun for you, but THANKS A TON! It’ll be great to see what you envision!
October 22, 2020 at 11:46 am #86492@jenwriter17, here’s your cover. Sorry, it took so long! And it’s not perfect but as I said, this is practice. XP Thanks for letting me try it!

www.jennaterese.comOctober 22, 2020 at 5:12 pm #86500@devastate-lasting, here’s yours. It turned out looking more contemporary than I wanted, and it still looks kinda cheap– it’s interesting for me to study the covers as I make them and figure out where they go wrong. Still, it could look a lot worse.
without further ado:
@gracie-j, I should get to yours within the next day or two. 😀

@e-k-seaver Yay! Thanks again!
I absolutely adore the covers you did for @jenwriter17 and @devastate-lasting (whose doesn’t look quite that cheap at all)!
