HEYOOO!!! So, we used to have a topic for this…buuut it got lost in the shuffle of topics and I figured why not make a new one!!

To start off this topic…

 

What kind of music do you prefer to listen to for a specific WIP? Or if you want to put multiple WIPs? I’m talking about genres or feel/mood, etc.

Like depressing or uplifting or certain lyrics or genres like rap, country, etc.

 

Right now, my playlists tend to be all over the place XD I really need to/want to go through all of my playlists, and music in general and take out songs that don’t fit anymore.

I just listen to a variety of stuff in my playlists.

I have wayyyyy too many songs that I listen to while writing XD

 

Truthfully, I listen to a lot of Christian but sadder songs when writing my current WIP (Broken Shackles) just bc of the main mood of the novel.

I just listen to so many songs I can’t even remember all of them anymore😂

I have two mixed playlists that I’ll listen to while daydreaming story building, one for each series. They’re basically a mixed up playlist of songs (and a few sound effects) that somehow connected to a character.

So yeah, I probably should organize those more. XD

Then I have a playlist of just instrumentals that I’ll listen to when I’m writing either a WIP or schoolwork. It’s basically a lot of string orchestras and Taryn Harbridge.

I usually listen to whatever really XD just anything that I feel relates to my characters or has the mood I want, like I’ll listen to more classical or celtic when writing fantasy, but more upbeat and perky when writing my rom-com. Or just whatever music mood I’m in 😂

I listen to a lot of different things and it completely depends on my mood. I do have a Paper Stars playlist that has a lot of kinda dreamy/ lofi/ electro music (idk what to call it lol)

Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of worship music or instrumental worship while I write… it helps me focus on God while I’m writing, and the instrumental is relaxing and I don’t get distracted by other words lol. Other than that, I don’t really have a specific playlist for writing.
