I’m so excited for 2018! 2017 has been a huge year for me learning more about the writing craft. So many things have happened; I’ve joined the Jerry Jenkins Guild, become a member on KP (yay!), followed sooo many blogs, made writer friends, and I finally get all those writer memes and jokes, hehe. Here are my goals/resolutions for 2018:
1) Keep track of words I write
2) Fully outline every book before writing. If I don’t, I get writer’s block.
3) Finish at least the first draft of book 1 of my sci-fi trilogy in time for the Realm Makers conference (there are going to be agents there!!!)
4) Get a blog/website up
5) self-published a tiny novella I wrote over the summer
6) set up a writing space (i found this corner desk at Ikea that i absolutely LOVE!)
That’s pretty much it for now, I’ll probably think of more later. What are your goals and resolutions for the new year?

www.jennaterese.comDecember 31, 2017 at 3:53 pm #58565Wow, you have some awesome goals! I hope you will accomplish them all! Most of my goals this year are platform related, but I have a few personal ones too. π
Here are some of my goals:
1. Finish the final draft of the first and second book of my time travel trilogy.
2. Finish the third book in the trilogy.
3. Finish illustrating my trilogy.
4. Reach 150 followers on my blog and Instagram.
5. Start an email list.
6. Start a new book.
December 31, 2017 at 5:46 pm #58571@jenwriter17Β Wow, 2017 just slipped by!
Let’s see…
- Read more (my dad says I need to…)
- Post, or at least finish, the KPA (It’s THAT long that it’s a New Year’s resolution π )
- Find ways to tighten my writing
… That’s all I can think of π
You can pronounce it however you want.
December 31, 2017 at 10:21 pm #58588Um….kay.
1. WRITE SOME THINGS. (Thank you, Princess Obvious.)
2. Make myself a writing routine to help my brain get used to it.
3. *reluctant* Stop….forumming while I write. This may work, or it will crash and burn and destroy my writing life. Lets do this.
4. Figure out how to create a Youtube playlist for my inspiration music.
5. WRITE SOME MORE THINGS
Other than that, yeah, I’m good.
ENTP, Aether-borg Hero with cape obsession and fascination with swords.

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 1, 2018 at 10:52 am #58608I don’t think I would call it aΒ resolution but recently ive been thinking a lot about learning to write poetry? (Something I know next to nothing about..) I guess I’d like to see how much I can learn about it before 2019 rolls around haha. π
and I was so confused
January 1, 2018 at 1:12 pm #58619@jenwriter17 You’re muchly welcome and thank you!!! βΊοΈ I love old tv shows (especially westerns as you probably already guessed π). I sometimes hide retro actors/actresses in my art. What are some of your favorite old TV shows?
January 1, 2018 at 1:34 pm #58623Oo, let me think about this. *thinks* *swirling “loading” symbol pops up on screen* Okay, I got it…
- Get more feedback on my writing.
- Organize. Maybe. It would be nice to be able to find my files once and a while… π
- Read the writing books I got for Christmas. (Best. Gifts. EVER.)
- Finish at least the first book in my trilogy. Yes, TRILOGY!!!!!!! I finally decided how many books are going to be in my first series!!!!! *bursts into confetti*
- *mumbles*Β editΒ the result of NaNoWriMo…Β See if any of it’s worth keeping, because I’m re-writing the plot a little bit.
Happy New Year, y’all!
