@david
Are you a Hornblower fan, by any chance?September 26, 2015 at 4:45 pm #6018My pet word is indefatigable.
September 26, 2015 at 4:53 pm #6019I like botheration
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
September 29, 2015 at 1:49 pm #6135@Rosey no, what’s that?
September 29, 2015 at 7:12 pm #6140@David— Hornblower is an absolutely fantastic movie series by A&E. It’s a swashbuckling adventure series set in the Napoleonic wars, and starring Ioan Gruffud.
And… I hope I spelled his name right. The same guy that played William Wilberforce in ‘Amazing Grace’, if you’ve seen that one. Rosey asked because the name of Horatio Hornblower’s ship is ‘Indefatigable’. 😛

Rendezvous… I just figured out a few weeks ago that it and the word pronounced rond a voo are one and the same. 🙂
October 1, 2015 at 7:43 pm #6193Ah yes that’s such a pretty word, Jada.
October 1, 2015 at 8:03 pm #6194Hm… I don’t like French words. 😛 Maybe because it also took ME forever to realize THAT word was the same as the one I heard people say as ‘ron day voo’. The pronunciation is crazy.
Another good one is Diaphanous.

@Jada oh my goats I thought I was the only one that did that! Rendezvous was one of the ones I did it on and the other was fatigue, I thought it was fat-i-goo!

I mean picturesque and grotesque. 😛 😉
October 3, 2015 at 8:48 pm #6230One word that I used recently in a story is this… (Gotta make sure I’m spelling it right)
Batrachomyomachy. It basically means “making a mountain out of a molehill”.Another one I love is paladin, which has been mentioned at least twice in this forum (sorry, 3 is my favorite number) and is also the name of one of my books!
