About voices never again to be heard
October 15, 2015 at 8:42 pm #6580Alright, I thought I’d give the current poem in its fullness so you don’t need to keep looking back at all the previous posts. I made the rule originally that you could only post 4 times, but forget that. You can post as much as you want, but you still have to wait for someone else to post before you do your next one.
When Autumn winds excite the leaves
And whisper through the fading grass
When raindrops tumble off the eaves
Then, I feel at home
For wind and rain and leaf and tree
Speak of Love much greater than meTo know that Love, and see that Love
No searching is required
He lives,β sing the leaves
A plea of,βRestβ is carried on the breeze
For all things live, and and all things die
Though sometimes we do question βwhy?’
Our questions and our empty words
About voices never again to be heardπ’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’
October 16, 2015 at 11:42 am #6581Oops… I must have missed the ‘only four times’ rule. Sorry about that. Are there even enough poets on here to make that work, anyway?
But moving on.
‘Shall find their way through night and day’

"When enemies attack your kingdom you don't flee you show them why it's your kingdom. With your lightsaber."
October 18, 2015 at 8:33 pm #6628I hear their songs of Ever More
And sleepOk, I broke my rule, but I had to end it you know. So that does it. For now, I’ll just give you the poem as it stands. I’ll go through it and edit it in a day or two. Feel free to throw in your own suggestions. So here you go.

Our questions and our empty words
About voices never again to be heard
Shall find their way through night and day
Until answers, the questions at rest layAs fading winds desert the day, I sit me down and ponder
Upon the things that I have seen; things of beauty, joy, and wonder
And as the sun deserts the sky, I sigh a sigh of peace

October 18, 2015 at 8:37 pm #6630Looks good, Daues! Can’t wait to read the finished product.
Something I do see off hand is there is a ” missing from the like He lives,” sing the leaves.
"When enemies attack your kingdom you don't flee you show them why it's your kingdom. With your lightsaber."
October 21, 2015 at 2:17 pm #6719Alright, I’ve finally edited this thing. So here is the finial poem that we wrote. I have to say, this may have been a hard way to write a poem, but it was very fun. I hope you enjoy the product.
When Autumn winds excite the leaves
And whisper through the fading grass
When raindrops tumble off the eaves
Then, I feel at home
For wind and rain and leaf and tree
Speak of Love beyond meTo know that Love, and see that Love
No searching is required
He lives,β sing the leaves
βYou may restβ asserts the breezeFor all things live, and and all things die
Though sometimes we do question βwhy?β
Our questions and our empty words
Of voices passed and no more heard
Shall find their way through night and day
Till answered full they restful layAs fading winds desert the day, I sit me down and ponder
