I can relate though; most of my friends are used to pronouncing my name in French cuz they met me at school. So then they’ll pronounce it with an accent on the e, like Stayph.

I think I’m partly to blame for this. I changed my name to a silly nickname of mine, then Andrew changed his, and then other people started doing so too.
I find it fun to see the wacky names people come up with.

I’ve been pronouncing your last name wrong (I’ve treated the /G/ as /G/ instead of /J/), but I think I’ve pronounced your first name right. YAY!
People mess up my last name a lot. Either they see it in writing and pronounce it wrong or they know how to pronounce it but can’t spell it. I have a friend who I’ve known since I was four and she didn’t know how to correctly spell my last name until a year ago lol.
