Okay! Most people seem to be reacting positively to this, so I will definitely conciser coming back
Yes please.
Interesting. Did you find it confusing at all when it switched to reveal that Cedrick was narrating everything?
Uh… not really sure. At the moment I was just in speed-read mode, not really edit mode. I was interested enough to be so. I think i went over that sentence again, but it made sense after a second.
Because I actually used spellcheck this time.
*laughing very hard* *stops* Wait what? You mean you don’t use spell check for the other book and still manage to have something readable?!
If I did that…… *shudders*
Lucky boy. I can’t believe your brain lets you do that.

June 4, 2025 at 12:13 pm #203819I like it! Isaiah and Cedrick are more interesting together than apart. Isaiah’s “code” doesn’t bother me. I mean, it would bother me in real life. But it’s fun when a character has a specific part of their personality that takes action easily. In this case, it’s bitterness. Isaiah could easily become part of a political plot and I wouldn’t bat an eye.
As for the world, your inspiration photos are close to what I pictured while I read. There was this sense of dry coldness in the described surroundings, if that makes sense.
Are drakes a type of dragon? Wingless, maybe? I don’t remember the variations. Is there a reason for draconids turning into dogs or cats?
After reading this, I started thinking about how much each writer likes to be subtle or overt with religion. I enjoy reading your stories. But when I got to the section about your theme ideas – none of those ideas were at the top of my mind. XD It makes feedback challenging, in a fun way.
I’m glad you’ve found something fun to write alongside your main project! I don’t know how much I’ll participate in helping because I’m already helping with your other project, but I’ll follow your updates anyway.
I will make you lose The Game with me.

Um… yes. I’m following the rule of first drafts to ignore grammar and turn off spell check. I guess I have better grammar than I thought?
Thank you very much for your feedback on this!

June 4, 2025 at 12:14 pm #203821Lolololol. I’ve gotten to the point where spellcheck knows my shortcuts and auto-corrects for me. It only messes up sometimes. But still….. mine can be a bit of a mess once I’m though, and I always run edits before posting.

I didn’t know other writers couldn’t spell until I joined KP. XD I’ve rarely needed spell check. But my handwriting is horrible, and people can’t read it, so the skills balance out.

Glad to hear they are a good combo. Sometime what make a good character isn’t so much who he is, but who he’s with.

Yes, they are a dragon, but domesticated. They do have wings. (I know drakes in other media are wingless dragons, but I may come up with my own name for my drakes later on). Domesticated dragons turn into domesticated animals usually.

*Shruggs.* It’s very much in the ideas state right now, so I just put down whatever came to mind.

No worries. I won’t be touching this for a while now. I just needed to write out the ideas I had for now and plan to return to it later.
Thank you very much for your feedback!

ehhh that’s characters in morally compromised settings for ya though.
Even your absolute favorite will most likely always, always say something that you don’t quite agree with if their plot has to do with them dealing with, or being, questionable people.
