What if instead of yelling, I send you a random picture until you rp? (Totally not an excuse to spam pics like in Character Party.)

He watched in silence, listening to the constant gurgles in his head with defeated resignation. These beings were so strange to him. They still were human-like, had emotions, sentience, personality, yet the clear creature features on the two confused him. Yet…now that he considered it, there were whispered legends that the lands across the sea had those who could shift into animals, so there must be some that are like his new companions.
“Are…are there elves in your world? And shapeshifters?”
Poor Gabriel is trying to figure out exactly what to classify them as XD. He’s never met anyone or thing like your unique POV trio.
Also, this is random, but Soldier is 100% a goofy cartoon chipmunk.

and yes, Soldier can be like a goofy chipmunk at times. He also can be a chaos gremlin. The fact that he’s in a confusing new world has toned him down a bit.

“Doubt it on the elves. At least, not as a separate species from one of the already existing ones.” I answered. “Shapeshifters, maybe. I’ve never met one, but I’m sure some kind of Changeling hybrid could be able to change his skin’s texture as well as its shade to imitate fur or scales or feathers. Wouldn’t be very useful without the ability to fake a tail or wings as well if he didn’t already have them, though.”

Sniper
I slinked through the water, the gills on my neck workin’ to provide me oxygen so I didn’t ‘ave to hold my breath. The light shinin’ through the surface glinted on my scales and rippled on the sandy floor below. Remarkably clear, for how deep it was gettin’.
The boat was easy to reach, although I wouldn’t call it a boat. More of a platform, or maybe a raft, anchored to the lakebed.
I detached the anchor and began to push the thing back toward the shore.
Partway through I became aware of a shadow circling me.
I turned around and became aware of a large fish, an eel of some sort, twice my size with six clawed fins evenly spaced down his body, and a face full of needle-thin teeth. He ‘ad a hungry look in his eyes.
I can’t exactly snarl underwater, nor do I ‘ave the flashin’ bioluminescent scales a few Argonites are born with, but I could ward him off with my own teeth and claws.
The fish struck out, his jaw stretchin’ wider than any fish I’d ever seen. I darted outta the way, and he collided with the raft, stunned.
I took the opportunity to slash his back. He twisted around and snapped at me, catchin’ the end of my tail with his teeth. Both of us now were bleedin’ into the water, and some smaller fish were gatherin’ around as a result, tryna see who’d die first so they could eat him.
The fish dove at me again, and this time I couldn’t get away, but I could use somethin’ else. I pulled out my knife and wedged it between his jaws just before he woulda snapped them shut. Confused, and with his tongue now stabbed, he thrashed about in an attempt to dislodge it.
He finally managed to spit it out, and gave me a dark look, apparently decidin’ I wasn’t worth the effort. I retrieved the weapon from the sand as he swam off, still bein’ chased by the little blood-attracted fish.
One of those small fish was still followin’ me. I killed it with a strike from my talons and placed it on the raft as I resumed travelin’ toward the shore. Could be dinner.

By her answer, Gabriel thought it safe to say that they were not from the same world then. He nodded, attention turning to the water. At the sight of blood in the water, he drew his blades, but when Sniper burst out of the water onto the raft in the pond, he sheathed them again. He was too calm for anything to be amiss now, Sniper must have dealt with whatever it was himself.
Gabriel suddenly turned to Soldier. “What are ducks? You mentioned them earlier, are they a type of fish? Maybe a flower?”

Soldier burst out laughin’ at that. Huntress snickered. Gabriel looked a little offended at them.
“Sorry mate, you’re way off the mark on that one.” I told him. “See those birds up there?” I pointed up at where a group of ducks were flying in the usual V formation. “Those are ducks. Water fowl. They taste good if you prepare ’em right.” I held up the fish I caught. “Although, I already ‘ave this with me, so I don’t think we need to go duck huntin’ just yet.”

Gabriel nodded, then fell silent. His skin was still splotchy, and his movements when he drew his blades earlier was less fluid than normal. He stared at the pond’s surface as mist rose up, the fog rolling towards them as evening started to settle. Had it only been three days in the labyrinth? Or four? He couldn’t remember. His mind felt disoriented, the task of finding Lucy in an ever-changing maze that they didn’t know the limits of,\ felt incredibly impossible. He was thankful that Lucy at least had her hatchet, but Gabriel knew that if she couldn’t defeat most the monsters of this place. Barnes possibly, but Lucy was not Barnes. Maybe they were the same person, somehow, but Gabriel could never think of them as one. Barnes a woman who shut out the world from her personal self, Lucy was Gabriel’s little charge who usually had so much life…yet the look in her eyes when she wanted to be left alone haunted Gabriel. He hated it.
He noticed Sniper had lit a fire, suddenly coming back to the world a bit out of his thoughts. He sat at the edge of the firelight, before his mind wandered off again. The voices grew louder in his head, the evening darkening, the fog pressing in on the fire, as if it wanted to squeeze out the little bit of life and warmth. Gabriel shivered, then realized one of his companions had been calling his name multiple times.
“Huh?”

Gabriel stared out at the lake for a while, and even after he came to the fire that Sniper and I had built when it got dark, he seemed distant.
I called his name a couple times before he answered with a “huh?”
I held out a filet of the now-cooked fish. “You want some? I didn’t want you to have to wrestle it from Soldier or Sniper.”

Gabriel stomach growled at him loudly before he could refuse. He hadn’t eaten since he was at the amphitheater with Lucy.
“Thank you.” He took the fish, the voices in his head quieting. “How…do you all know each other? You seem to close to have met in this labyrinth.”

“You seem too close to have met in this labyrinth.” Gabriel mused as he took the fish.I chuckled. “No, we’re three of a team of ten who’s fought together for over five years. My twin brother’s on the team, and so is…….my father.”
I hoped he hadn’t noticed the way I faltered there. Or if he did, that he’d chalk it up to how I missed them.
I did…..at least, I missed Scout a lot…..but there really was nothing I could do about it, except try to get back home. And that wasn’t exactly an option yet, considering a member of our party was currently lost.
I continued. “Soldier had always been my ally, but Sniper and I, well, we were rivals when we first met. It took a while, but we eventually became friends…..and then even closer than that.” I looked across the fire to where Sniper and Soldier laughed about their own conversation. “I’d give up my life for him if I had to. He’d say the same if you asked him. In fact, he very nearly did.” I shuddered as I remembered the horrific scene. “Do you…..Do you have anyone like that?”

I wasn’t sure how to continue so I was like “you know what? I’m gonna ask for a lore dump and see which one of the trio responds XD”. This is getting gooooood.

“No, not really. I know a man who would help me if he could, but he’s too old to go far past the garden now. Everyone else in my village would sooner kill me than help me if they saw under my mask. I…I guess you could say I save them everyday.” He paused, then suddenly leaned forward like a curious child. “You said you have a twin, what is having a sibling like?”

“You said you have a twin, what is having a sibling like?” Gabriel suddenly looked curious.
”Well, he’s not my only sibling. I have seven more—all brothers. They can be rough sometimes. Some of them weren’t particularly nice. But Scout and I…..We’ve always had each other’s backs.” I explained. “In fact, it was because he got a job on this one planet that I met Soldier and Sniper, because I went with him there. You don’t have any siblings?”
He shook his head.
“That sounds pretty lonely.” I admitted.
