Sorry about not replying sooner, I’ve been a little busy with nothing in particular XD
Reading some of your older rp’s and I came across the park where your character says he has been insulted by other people. does Gabriel also have some kinds of markings on his face/skin?
That would explain the “devil marks” remark.
Yes, Gabriel has petal shaped birthmarks on his jaw and on his torso. They wouldn’t be visible however, as his mask covers the ones on his jaw, and the ones on his torso are obviously covered by his shirt.
On the first page of this rp is some artwork of Gabriel where you can see the birthmarks on his jaw.
And yes, they’re called devil marks because his country believes that anyone born with them is cursed to be a demon and Gabriel could be killed if anyone from his village sees them.

Gabriel nodded. “I’ve never seen your kind before, sorry.” Gabriel glanced back at Lucy, shoulders sinking a little, before turning back to the others. “How did the half-Changeling injure her head? Have you also encountered monsters in this labyrinth?”

(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)January 13, 2026 at 11:01 pm #209821However, Gabriel’s country is an island that was cut off from the rest of the world over 200 years ago, and most the records about the rest of the world destroyed over time purposefully and accidentally.
Not to butt in, but this is very similar to Lucy’s country. Except her isolated country is at the same technology level as WW1 and WW2. The whole isolation thing could be fun to bring up later, except for the fact that young Lucy doesn’t know enough to say what she thinks about it.
Yeah that video fits well. XD

January 14, 2026 at 11:40 pm #209847I wrote this for fun. Sorry it’s long.
Rallascant and OthersThe imp giggled to himself as he scurried down his rabbit hole, dragging a heavy, awkwardly shaped cloth bundle behind him. What a wonderful turn of events that had been! This new group of outsiders was turning out to be very interesting. He was excited to see what was going to happen next. And what other treasures he would be able to get out of it.
The small tunnel ended as it intersected with a much larger passageway that had a lot less dirt and was lined on either side with bookshelves. Rallascant climbed out of his rabbit hole, and it closed behind him. He knew where he was now: the crawl space. The thought surprised him. The place hadn’t had a specific name before. It was just part of the labyrinth. But he respected what it wanted to be called, and moved along.
He padded down the passageway, feeling it go deeper and deeper. The cloth bundle made a muffled metallic scraping sound as it dragged across the floor.
Soon, the passage opened up into a large, cavernous room, full of tall, winding bookshelves. From above, it would have looked like unharvested honeycomb.
Small gargoyles, about the same size as Rallascant, flew around above the shelves. One creature, perched on one of the lower shelves, hissed at him as he passed by. Then it took to the air and flew off, no doubt to warn its mistress of the imp’s presence.
He walked further into the vast library, and soon came across its main inhabitant. She was known as the Library Wyrm. Not quite a dragon, she had a long, snake-like body with only two front limbs. Her scales were golden yellow, and she had an intelligent face. She stared at the imp with intense, bright green eyes as he walked by.
“Juuuust passing through. Don’t mind me,” he said in a bit of a sing-song voice.
“What have you got in the bag, little rabbit?” Her voice was quiet, but it filled the room. Rallascant stopped in his tracks.
“You wanna see my loot?”
She tipped her head to one side. He grinned and dropped his bundle on the ground. He uncovered his prize, then stood next to it proudly. The Wyrm leaned in for a closer look.
“Hmm. You have a gun.” She sounded concerned.
“A gun? What’s that?” He looked at her curiously, before suddenly shoving a finger into one of his ears and scratching aggressively.
The Wyrm stared at him. “I think it would be best for everyone if I didn’t tell you,” she said dryly.
He shrugged, then tensed at the sound of a voice coming from the other side of the library.
“Sisster! Where are you?”
The Wyrm ducked her head.
“Run away, little one,” she whispered to Rallascant. “She may be hungry.”
He obeyed at once, disappearing quickly along with his treasures.
Soon, the Basilisk appeared, slinking out from between some shelves, her eyes tight shut.
“There you are!” She looked delighted, then replaced the look with a pitiful one, and crawled forward with her belly to the ground. “Oh Ssister, help me please. My teeth are broken and my gums bleed from gnawing on lifelesss stone. My prey injures me. I am tired and I grow thin. Go on one more hunt with me. Please. I’m ssstarving.”
“I swore I would not. That still stands. Human lives are too interesting to be treated like livestock,” the elder responded sternly. She motioned with a claw for one of her gargoyles to bring her a book. It flew off, looking for one among the top shelves.
The Basilisk’s demeanor changed as soon as she heard the flapping wings. She crouched like a cat, and pounced as soon as the gargoyle was within range. She pinned it to the ground and looked it straight in the eye. There was a short screech before the creature turned to stone.
“Stop that,” the Wyrm growled, pushing past her sister and leaning over her petrified minion. She breathed in, then blew on it, gold mist curling from her lips. Slowly, the stone faded away. As soon as it could move, the gargoyle sprang to its feet and flew away.
“You’re no fun.”
The Wyrm ignored her, opening her book and beginning to read. The Basilisk watched her for a minute, tail swishing, before trying her luck again.
“Pleassse. I’m ssick of eating mice and frogs. Aren’t you?”
“If that is all you came to ask for, sister, I’m afraid you have wasted your time.”
The Basilisk growled deep in her throat, but said nothing in response. She turned and left the library, shooting a glare at another gargoyle on her way out.

January 15, 2026 at 8:32 am #209855Oooo labyrinth lore. This is quite an interesting deviation from the storyline. I like the Library Wyrm.
I sort of want to find Fel and bring her to the Wyrm but I don’t know how that would happen.
You are the labyrinth master and anything you write gives us more plot fuel and is entertaining. So do not hesitate to write more stuff like this.

January 15, 2026 at 12:33 pm #209867Huntress
“How did the half-Changeling injure her head? Have you also encountered monsters in this labyrinth?” Gabriel asked.
Sniper counted off every strange thing we’d encountered together. “Some flyin’ things that weren’t quite birds, or bats. Then a cave troll that Solly and I killed. There was a lizard of some kind–that’s the one that injured Huntress, and it might’ve done somethin’ to our other travelin’ companion, ’cause she disappeared shortly before we fought it.”
“When I first met her, before I met up with my teammates, there were also creatures that looked like garden gnomes but shattered when they died.” I said. “Have you encountered any more?”

lol maybe the wyrm (that’s who she’s talking to right?) is immune, or maybe it was just “her head was angled in her general direction” cause I’m sure the basilisk has a different way of sensing the world, like smell or hearing.

January 15, 2026 at 12:41 pm #209869Now I’m even more glad that Soldier and Sniper didn’t get the chance to kill it…..
She’s more of a character now.

January 15, 2026 at 12:49 pm #209870@keilah-h Yeah I was picturing the second thing you said while writing. Just didn’t communicate it correctly. The Library Wyrm is not immune.

“Yes. Two hairless creatures, one no bigger than a large cat. I wouldn’t consider it a threat though, it was very easy to kill. The second was like a mutated dog, but the size of a horse. It makes a clicking sound as it walks and has a long whip-like tail. It’s relatively quick and athletic, but killable.”

“Nothin’ I’m familiar with, then. Never saw any of those when we were wanderin’ around.” I said. I turned to Huntress. “Did you?”
She shook her head. “Nope, just the gnome thingies and whatever we encountered together.”

“Huh?” He had lost Sniper after ‘nothin’ I’m familiar with’ his head throbbing. The voices had become louder since he mentioned Huntress’s marks, their blending voices gurgling near his ear with the words that he still couldn’t make out. He wanted to rest his head against something, but he didn’t trust them enough yet to show such weakness.
He had to think of something else, he had to distract himself from his head.
“I…I didn’t think abut it earlier, I don’t know why, but before we leave this place behind, we should head back inside and look for cloaks. We’ll need them.”

(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)January 17, 2026 at 12:01 pm #209924Lucy
Lucy needed some space, so she sat next to her family door. The letterbox was dark and the faint buzzing had stopped since she was last there. She propped her elbows on her knees, covering her face with her hands.
Her feelings were always so confusing. Her chest often held a deep, inconsolable frustration that had no source and no outlet. At least she behaved like a normal child. But Gabriel didn’t know about the times she failed to keep pretense up; the things she had done.
The process was familiar. He would look at her strangely, ask her a few questions, and notice her weird, stiff habits. He already thought she was a different person.
Gabriel and the strangers were still talking, but their conversation had changed. Soon Gabriel was going to fetch her.
Lucy got up. She pulled her hands from her face and clenched them open and shut, moist tears glistening on her palms.
Her chest began to heave as she stared at her own hands. In a sudden moment, she exhaled from her nose and angrily slammed her body against the wall. Her shoulder instantly burst into pain, but she ignored it and whipped her other side against the hard plaster.
The wall gave way.
A gust of wind blew into Lucy’s face. Suddenly emptiness filled her stomach as she lurched forward through the murky gray, as if swallowed by a black hole. Mist spun around her, the walls flashing and stretching, racing past her.
Her body rushed forward as if caught in an optical illusion, like when a person stands on the edge of the sea and feels like they are sliding into the waves. It kept going until it didn’t seem like an illusion anymore. She was being pulled away into an endless tunnel.
Lucy screamed, fear and loathing folded together. Finally, stomach churning, she fell onto her knees. The sudden motion stopped.
The tunnel closed behind her.
