Can you guys describe your characters?
Oh! Yeah I can do that. Barnes is just a tall woman with chopped blonde hair. Wears very old-style clothing from maybe the 40s, a suit in this. Also a white mask with dark eyeholes. Little Lucy is literally the same but without the mask and with even shorter hair.
It’s cool you want to draw this! But even if you decide not to, I’m glad to comment a description because I don’t remember if I described her much before.

Not that your characters would know this, but, just clarifying, the labyrinth doesn’t have an owner. It’s sort of sentient on its own, kinda, and more like a force of nature than anything else.

“Yes. The lines of poem about the feline man and the one who was three persons in a single body were my companions for a little time here. And when I first arrived, besides those two and Barnes, there was a number of other people who I haven’t seen since. I assume they’re wandering around the maze like us, if they haven’t found their way home already.” He didn’t mention his fear that some of them might be dead, not wishing to alarm Lucy. He glanced back at her, noticing all the candles stuffed in her pockets, paused, then laughed.
The house kept going, with dusty halls and rooms, some filled with strange, random objects, others fully-furnished with hearths of cold fire, and chairs. The house was a mixture of abandoned-looking rooms, and rooms frozen in time. The carpets beneath their feet were sometimes flowers, sometime arches of ivy like Roman aqueducts overtaken by a garden, sometimes like pictures from a storybook, and sometimes madalas. Eventually, they reached a room that was castle-like, the walls stone instead of the usual wallpaper or brick throughout the house, the chairs of carved wood with cotton cushions, a curtained bed in the corner with a goose-down pillow and sheets of silk. A stain-glass window was across from the bed. Gabriel entered this room, since it had the first window they had come across that they could peer out of.
“Just open land until the maze.” Gabriel sighed, watching two crows hop about outside, squabbling over something. “Maybe we’ll see something from a different view, but not this one.”
Once again, the room has nothing to do with anything, I just wanted a stain-glass window because it feels like this house would have one, and it’s already weird, so I through in the strange room.
I have no problem with it, I actually think it’d be funny to see Sniper and Gabriel interact! And they also need saving from the crows outside the tower, so if Whaley gives a thumbs up, let’s go for it!

Gabriel feels the same, though he might have a more violent reaction than her if they got separated. Violent of the “kill everything” type.

I also have some good ideas basing off Whaley’s poem. So far my characters haven’t really had arcs besides “we’re trying to get outta here” but what if they did?
idk what “losing yourself” and “fighting the mist” and “discovering dread” entail, but I’m sure it’s nothing they can’t handle, right? …..right?

none of him home monsters look humanoid, so he might not have a kill reaction, but you bet they will be getting death glares at least. He might be a little protective of Lucy…

Lucy peered out the window at the crows. “They’re real handsome birds when they’re not so close up.”
She eyed the room’s mantelpiece noticing a handle sticking from the ornate wood. It was a small silver hatchet. Without hesitation, she yanked it free of its place, finding it to be lightweight. Gabriel gave her a look that might be disapproval, but was vague enough to ignore.
They wandered further. Room by room, some cluttered, others slanted, hardly anything connected. They stashed a few things in their pockets – Lucy took a new handkerchief and Gabriel some more practical items – but there was no food and no more weapons.
There was no clear sense of what the place looked like from outside, since there had been only a tower. Maybe they had traveled underground and come up elsewhere. It was like being stuck in the crows’ nest all over again, as if the rooms had exploded upwards into a wild tangle, or the nest had tumbled down into the rooms – a static nuclear mushroom of knickknacks.
Lucy slowed. It all blurred together, and she found herself slumping against the wall as she tried to follow Gabriel, step by step. Up stairs, down hallways, through closets, around a bend…

As he walked on, Gabriel was internally debating if it was safe for Lucy to have a hatchet or not. When she was carrying his knife, she was careful, but that was briefly. Now she was toting a dangerous little blade with her like a trinket. As they passed through the rooms, Gabriel took some leather and a sewing kit he found, plus a few other random pieces, adding them to a bag he had also taken which carried the items he deemed useful for later. If Lucy was to have a hatchet, she would have to have leather sleeve to go over the blade so she wouldn’t accidentally hurt herself. And Gabriel intended on teaching her how to properly use one. He had once taught himself hatchet throwing when he lived alone in the Western Forest, and if Lucy could learn it, it could come in handy.
For a good while, his brain thought more of the hatchet than pondering any of the other things in the maze, his mind deeming the hatchet issue more pressing than fingering out how to outsmart a murder of crows outside later.
Eventually, Gabriel glanced back at Lucy as she slumped against the wall. “Are you alright? Are you tired? Would you like me to carry you?”
