Felicity
Felicity watched as Soldier and Sniper delivered the final blow. She was a little proud of herself for not flinching too much at the gore.
Once things calmed down, Felicity kicked the troll to make sure it was dead.
“Huh,” she said, hefting her bag back onto her shoulder. “You guys do this kind of thing often?”
She kicked the troll again, this time in the face.

“You guys do this kind of thing often?” Felicity asked.
“All the time.” I said. “No, literally, Sniper and I currently work in a nature park taking out dangerous animals–and let me tell ya, the animals of Australis are some of the most dangerous ones you’ll ever meet. And before that, we and Soldier were mercenaries for years fighting either each other or whatever weirdos decided to encroach on our bosses’ land.”
I can’t exactly say what Soldier’s job is now, if he has one, but it probably also involves fighting things or killing things or something. Old habits die hard, harder if you’re a lunatic birdman.
Felicity looked up from kicking the troll, slightly less shocked than I thought she’d be.
I suppose none of what I’d said was as weird as our sheer existence, though.

When your charries have it so rough you are learning how to color dark under eyes...

I’d like to hop back into this rp but it looks like Kepha who I was rping with left KP 🙁
So Gabriel is now wandering wherever alone I guess. Should I have him meet someone or just do whatever?

October 23, 2025 at 4:03 pm #208061@rae LOL I don’t even make her funny on purpose tbh. That’s just her personality, she kinda does whatever she wants when I write her….

“Isn’t the point of a nature park to protect animals?”
(sorry I can’t think of much to rp in response to that)

Huntress
“Isn’t the point of a nature park to protect animals?” Felicity asked.
“Usually.” Sniper replied. “But tell me, ya ever dealt with an australium-powered emu horde comin’ straight at a tour van? If they’re aggressive, they gotta go.” He held up his rifle. “We often don’t kill ‘em anyway, just tranq [tranquilize] and relocate ‘em. I haven’t had to use this beauty in a long time.”
”I thought we agreed to never talk about the emu incident,” I said.
”The what?” Soldier asked.
Great. Now we’d have to explain to him.

November 8, 2025 at 8:24 pm #208302Sorry if she’s acting odd. I’m still trying to figure out how to write her accurately.
Felicity
“Emu. Ee-mu.” Felicity slowly sounded the strange word out to herself. She laughed.
“Emus, bird people, lizard people, trolls, disappearing boyfriends… Heh. This is insane.” She held her head in her hands, and backed away from the dead troll.
After staring into nothing for a moment, she looked up at her companions.
“Who… who exactly are you people? You just killed a troll and a dragon. What is going on? Have you even given me your real names?”

November 16, 2025 at 2:16 pm #208374@loopylin Sorry I haven’t been able to RP. I was busy on the trip, and I haven’t been feeling great ever since I came back, so I haven’t been able to be on KP much or type anything long.

November 19, 2025 at 9:35 pm #208446I’m here! I finally put aside my project and here we are
Barnes
Since the hour before, after the deal with the imp, Barnes had lost her way again.
The longer she walked, the worse the vines became. They crept around her ankles and stockings, sometimes scratching her with thorns. Circling back to the silver clearing was literally fruitless; the fruit tree Barnes noticed earlier grew its roots in her mind and stomach. She hadn’t eaten for hours. She thrust the thought away and jogged faster, discipline kicking in.
She slowed down when she came across stone figures along the path. The statues were of different people and creatures. Of those who had forearms, most stood with their arms crossed over their chests in slumber. Those, unlike the others, had peaceful faces. One statue lay crushed by vines, an outstretched hand on the pathway with its palm faced upwards. An inchworm dawdled over its clawed fingertips.
The path became narrow and tightly defined, the tops overgrown and cascading inward. The hazy tunnel had no foreseeable end, but that was how it was with every path.
Barnes yawned. She shifted her mask to rub her own cheek, shivered, and tried to imagine something energizing.
Sebastian had taken her warmer jacket from her office the last time he visited. The little devil.
Barnes smiled in spite of herself. She let the expression fade as the violet-hued path turned into a dead end.
She had something to work for, yes – but she couldn’t expect much endurance from her body. She had worked the day before she had arrived, and the day before that, wasting two nights of sleep. This enchanted place abducted her at a bad time.
It was possible she wasn’t going to make it home. If so, hopefully she had done enough to arrange things. No one was going to suffer if she wasn’t a breadwinner anymore. They might never accept her disappearance – they might want a memento that wasn’t a file cabinet or a mass produced typewriter. But not much could be done about that now.
A vine snared her arm. She yanked half-heartedly and suddenly, with a thunderous sound like falling sand, the wall burst toward her.
“Hey!” Barnes winced as the vines cut circulation from her arms. She strained against her bonds, biceps straining, but it was no use. Even the strongest man alive might not escape the same restraint through sheer force.
Without thinking too much about it, Barnes gritted her teeth and reacted to her fate. She took one last look at the statues along the wall, folded her arms over her chest, and allowed the mist to wash over her.
The vines stopped stabbing out of the wall. They slowed, and snugly wrapped around her torso and chest. As they pulled her into the wall, their leaves melted into golds and coral reds, shifting with every movement Barnes made.
She closed her eyes. Raf and Ell, Anthony, boys. Forgive me if this is my last misstep.
She nodded her head, and somehow the mask went loose and fell off. The leaves took its place. The embrace lulled her into a deep, dark consciousness.
