Haha!
Don’t you know you never ask a lady her age? lololol.
I’m almost 19.

I think they mean that for older woman? Also WOW, I always thought you were 16 to 17…! Welp, I understand why you thought you were older than me now! LOL!

Because you are.

Haha! I think that’s a rule of etiquette for all women. (At least it used to be.)
Now you can return the favor! How old are you?

Fine……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. I am not going to tell you my EXACT age, because my mom would kill me. So I’ll just tell you I am in freshman year of high school! (So I could be smart where I am 13, average where I am 14, or behind where I am 15! I am one of those ages!)

Okay then. Certainly younger then me. XD

January 13, 2025 at 9:34 am #194283I’ve been trying to get my parents to homeschool me again. They’re kind of tempted to do it again because the education system in my country sucks (two hints: laughing stock of the world, also beware the geese). Any tips?

January 13, 2025 at 9:44 am #194284Honestly pray. Pray a lot. Then sit down with them and (respectfully and humbly) talk to them. Tell them how much you dislike public school, explain those dislikes. Tell them you’ll work hard at home, ask if you can work on developing a scheduled with them. Really honestly talk to them and do so in a mature way. Don’t have emotional breakdowns or such. That will turn them off. Some parents don’t have the time, and that would be a way to work a schedule with them. Some are afraid of messing up or find the task daunting, and you would talk about that and ask how you can make home schooling easier for them. I did my high school years independently with a schedule my mom and I designed. She would check my work every Friday, but otherwise I was solo. She was there to ask questions of, but sometimes I had to wait for her to have a moment when she wasn’t working with my brothers.
Here, take a look at this video. This is a really good story about a girl in that same situation. (She’s now an author!) This is basically what I’ve been telling you. You should really take a look.
Also, if your folks haven’t you should check out HLSDA

January 13, 2025 at 9:54 am #194286Just wondering, are you planning to set up a poll to find a time for this week or is that set in concrete on Saturday? I would really love to make it if I can but I understand that Saturday might work best for the most people.

January 13, 2025 at 11:58 am #194305Thanks! That helps a lot 🙂 I really like the idea of working solo on a predetermined schedule. What we lacked when we homeschooled before was more of a concrete plan; we kind of winged it (and I was still ahead of my class when I went back to school…mwahahaha). I think that was overwhelming for my parents, but something more structured would allow them to kind of be assured that I’ll learn what I should.
Thanks again!

#AnduthForever (❤️)January 13, 2025 at 12:26 pm #194319of course! i used My Father’s Wold for high school only and it really helped because there was a planner that you could put together and all the books and resources already gathered in one bundle.

January 13, 2025 at 12:26 pm #194320You’re in public school too???
I thought I was the only one on here XDXD
I know how hard public school can be (I used to be homeschooled too) so if you ever need to talk to someone who gets it, you can always tag me <3

Oh. Um…. thanks?
XD
Yeah I’m just finishing up the last little bit of my school FOR LIFE!
so how old are you? I must know. Everyone thinks that I’m younger then I am, and I used to think it was because my brothers are all older looking, but now that i’m getting this from people I’ve never met I find it really funny. What made you think I was younger?
