I have… three docs 😅 One for plot, then worldbuilding+character bios, then the draft. When things feel more organized, I merge the plot, worldbuilding and characters into one doc and add clear headings.
One thing to be careful about is checking your doc whenever you want to change something. Sometimes I forget I have the doc, and things eventually change to the point where the doc is no longer useful. I once opened up my Marcel bio and discovered with horror that I had updated nothing and his backstory was dated.
So you should make a habit of updating your Fact Bible whenever you have a revelation or thought. It’s just a matter of habit.
