Thanks, everybody. 🙂
@kate-flournoy Well, currently it’s 66,578, but I expect it to get up to 70,000 or more by the time it’s done. I’m pretty much your opposite. 😛
@aratrea @winter-rose @jenali @audry-grace The basic premise is that these two teens, a brother and sister, accidentally find themselves taken back in time through this time machine they were bunkering out in. The conflict arises when the scientist who unwittingly brought them along with him starts using modern technology to take over England. It’s got a major theme of overcoming cowardice with some other themes like power vs helplessness and security vs duty and a lot of minor themes.
@emma-flournoy I think I spent two months writing it. I was hoping to do it in a month, but it still went way faster than Edwin Brook did.🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
April 26, 2017 at 10:01 pm #31545@Daeus ooooh that sounds pretty cool.

April 27, 2017 at 10:45 am #31558Oooh @Daeus, that sounds like lots of fun! In my time-travel novel the protagonist has to consider going to the future and getting modern weapons with which to defeat a bad guy, but she decides against it on account of it not being honourable. I’m guessing you have plenty to say on that subject :).
Also, that’s really fast. I think, outside of NaNo, my quickest novel was 64k in three to four months. Congratulations! You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation. (Isaiah 12:3)
April 27, 2017 at 11:00 am #31560April 27, 2017 at 11:01 am #31561@Daeus ha! Well, that’s good. Adding stuff is fun. You get to go deeper and discover more, instead of having to painfully cut material you already fell in love with and condemn it to the void of unknown-ness forever… *dramatic sigh* One of these days I’m gonna write a first draft that’s only 50,000 words. You wait and see.
April 27, 2017 at 11:14 am #31562@kate-flournoy I eagerly await. Do you think I should buy a truckload of popcorn to keep me occupied?

April 27, 2017 at 11:21 am #31563@Daeus yeah. Probably.
April 27, 2017 at 1:11 pm #31567@Daeus YAY! That’s awesome. *throws glitter like confetti*

April 27, 2017 at 2:31 pm #31571@Daeus About how many words was Edwin Brook? I’m trying to get a rough idea of how many my novel will have, and Edwin Brook seemed about the length I usually enjoy as a reader.
*is probably geeking out about something*
April 27, 2017 at 2:34 pm #31573@daeus @kate-flournoy @graciegirl Goodness, and here I am marveling at how big 50,000 words seems…

April 27, 2017 at 2:49 pm #31578@graciegirl Edwin Brook was about 76,000 words, I believe.

April 27, 2017 at 2:51 pm #31579@Daeus Ah! Thx. I’m way off with my estimations for my book then….XD

April 27, 2017 at 3:26 pm #31588@Daeus Congratulations! *refrains from throwing anything because it is already a mess* That sounds very interesting. Being able to write a book-length book instead of an epic-length book is always nice. 😉

April 27, 2017 at 3:34 pm #31590@That_Writer_Girl_99 If you can keep your stories a manageable size then good for you. You’ll save yourself so much time and effort. 😛
