@Hope I’ll have to check those out. Thanks.
It seems Peter Hollens does covers of all the popular movie songs, and I knew you liked him besides. 😉
November 9, 2016 at 4:07 am #20718Whaat? I like I See Fire just the way it is. And, yes, Emma. I view the Last Goodbye the only redeemable element of the Battle of the Five Armies. Whatever . . . opinions opinions. Sometimes I make a playlist of all the Lord of the Rings end credits songs (in order from worst to best) and just let the memories flow . . .
6. Gollum’s Song–Emiliana Torrini (Two Towers)
5. Song of the Lonely Mountain–Neil Finn (Unexpected Journey)
4. Into the West–Annie Lennox (Return of the King)
3. I See Fire–Ed Sheeran (Desolation of Smaug)
2. The Last Goodbye–Billy Boyd (Battle of the Five Armies)
1. May It Be–Enya (Fellowship of the Ring)I blog on story and spiritual things at mkami.weebly.com
November 9, 2016 at 12:06 pm #20741@Mark-Kamibaya Really? Ah well, opinions. 😛
I know, it’s so fun relive it all by listening to the music.November 9, 2016 at 9:36 pm #20828@emma-flournoy That’s why I love soundtracks. It makes you relive the experience. And for me it kind of plugs the energy of the movie into whatever scene you’re writing (thus my use of Time from Inception during my death scenes).

November 11, 2016 at 9:50 pm #21004@emma-flournoy – I didn’t really like I See Fire. I Like the alternated version they do of “The Misty Mountains” in one of the credits though.
@Mark-Kamibaya @emma-flournoy I was kinda disappointed in The Battle of the Five Armies too. I never liked the Tariel/Kili thing in the fact that they added it, but when I was immersed in the movie world I was rooting for the romance to survive. I wanted to… do something terrible to the director when Kili died. Garg.
@Mark-Kamibaya I like Into the West too.Whoever asked the question, I don’t know about Beyond the Mask on YouTube. I don’t really do YouTube except for Studio C. My brother bought the soundtrack. You should really watch it @Mark-Kamibaya. It’s a historical Fiction, 1776, about an ex-assassin. Awesome! I saw it in theaters with @corissa-maiden-of-praise. If you find out it was made by the same people who did Pendragon, and you think that’s an ametuer, non-professional looking movie, DON’T be deterred. This one is WAY better (even thought I’ve never seen Pendragon my brother’s have an dthey say so.) For LOTR people is has John Rhyss-Davies in it, and people who have seen Seasons of Grey, it has Andrew Chenney as the ex-assassin.

November 11, 2016 at 9:59 pm #21009@anne-of-lothlorien Aw, Madam Blueberry! I love that one, and thanks to you, I’ll be singing the Thankful Heart song all day. 😀

November 11, 2016 at 10:09 pm #21011Careful, @emma-flournoy. You’ve been nodding so hard your head’s beginning to fall off. It’s been . . . what? Three days now?

November 12, 2016 at 9:59 am #21031@Mark-Kamibaya – Hee. Hee. I realized that once. I ‘went off in sobs of anguish’ over @writefury’s serial story once (seriously read that) and realized that I never technically said I stopped, so I’ve been weeping for weeks. Which i almost have. Her story’s a real heart-wrencher.

November 12, 2016 at 10:41 am #21043@Anne-of-Lothlorien But Kili died in the book too, so he should have in the movie!! In the book he and Fili died together though, defending Thorin. I so wish it had been that way in the movie. Have you read the book?
Yeah, the alternated “Misty Mountains” one is neat.
@Mark-Kamibaya *abruptly ceases the nodding* 😀 I don’t want to lose my head.November 14, 2016 at 11:43 am #21090@emma-flournoy I think we all know you’ve already lost it. We all have.
I have read the book, all of them, and the Hobbit. I wanted to…do something terrible to Tolkien too. I hated their deaths, but yes, they were better in the books. More honorable. But that still didn’t stop me from crying for twenty minutes at his heart-wrenching pounding stomping tearing death scene with TaurielENFP - "One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
November 14, 2016 at 12:42 pm #21116That, my dear @Anne-of-Lothlorien , is equivocation on the word ‘head’. *points stern finger at you* I meant my literal head. 😀 Yesyesyesyesyes I know that’s beside the point. 😛 I have most certainly already lost it.
*trembling mouth* Y-you wanted to do…something t-terrible to Tolkien??! Oh…DEAR. This is most saddening. 😛

Hey y’all, Toby Mac’s new music video for Love Broke Through is pretty cool:
October 9, 2017 at 8:53 pm #47718Hey people! A good song for writing (in my opinion) is Time by Hans Zimmer –from Inception, an awesome movie (also in my opinion). It starts out very quiet, but it builds! And power!
