Me tooooo! I sadly don’t. My mom said I’m too obsessed and can’t get it. I did get it for a year back in 2018-19 and for a month in 2021. Maybe when I’m an adult I’ll get it again.
What are your favorite ships? I’m for Emily+Matthew, Jason+Jillian (Jillson) or Jason+Tasha (Tason), Connie+Jeff and Buck+Madison. I don’t care much for Jules so buckles isn’t my favorite. I can’t think of anymore.
Also, I really wish we could go back into the golden age of AIO (the Novacom era at least, that’s what I look like as the golden age) with added characters such as Emily, Matthew, Jillian and Buck. What Era would you want to go back to?

I 100% agree that we need another golden age. I think AIO is trying to find a foothold as far as plot, and need something solid to work on.
Sure, Olivia’s character arc was something, but even then, I was a little frustrated at how they went about it. A lot of Olivia’s questions about Christianity are easily answered (although that could just be because I’m a pastor’s kid 😜). It would have been cooler if they did what they did with… I forget the exact episodes and plot, but when Whit had to fight against this teacher about, I think, what defines a family, and why we shouldn’t just accept everyone’s views. If Olivia was instead sucked into that worldview of universal acceptance, I would have been on the edge of my seat.
I don’t care for Jules either. Honestly, she’s just the stereotypical pop-loving teen who wants something more in life. Buck needs someone better.
Lol back in the day, Eugene and Katrina was my favorite ship. Probably because it was the ONLY ship available 😂
My favorite new character? Jay. Jay all the way. He’s actually super funny to me – his voice 😂😂 He’s like the opposite of Rodney Rathbone, but still jerk material

Sometimes I go on rants about AIO because their stories currently are cringy, and need a lot more drama. For instants, the whole Morrie and Suzu saga made absolutely no sense, but I thought that they had a great story to work off of when Morrie and Suzu moved in with Mr. Whittaker, but I was disappointed with what they did with it. I was hoping we would see an episode about Jason because he lives with Whit so I was hoping to see his reaction to two kids living in his house, but that didn’t happen.
And I totally agree about Jules she’s so annoying and Buck can do so much better than her. And they never make it clear why Buck won’t become a Christian.
I ship Whit and Dr. Lily I also ship Connie and Mitch they were so cute together. Also, I don’t think Jason and Jillian should be together. I like Jillian but she’s not right for Jason
My favorite saga is the Blackgaard series. mostly because my favorite character is Richard Maxwell

1st off, I adore being able to talk about new Odyssey with people. I don’t have any friends who I can talk to about this. 1 of my friends still keeps up with it but it’s not her thing anymore.
2nd, the 28 Hours plot is hopeful. I can’t wait to bring the chairman back into Odyssey. I really hope they don’t ruin it like what happened with the Morrie Saga. I really don’t get that either. Are they saying that Emily’s wrong? Morrie locked her in the room and then “sucked the air out.” What in the world was that proving? I mean, he said it was him trying to get the Christians in Odyssey to break down and when they didn’t he was pleased. I wish they would explore the PTSD Emily most likely has. Anyway, enough about that. Lol I could go on forever about how much it annoyed me.
Ikr! Jason is awesome! He needs more interaction with kids. I would adore seeing him with Morrie and Suzu and also as a father.
Buck!!! Oh my heart when he shows up in episodes. And him calling Eugene and Katrina, mom and dad. 🥰🥲🥲🥰 I do have a crush on him. I hate fangirling about characters most people like but I have to with him.
Buck is my absolute favorite! Used to be Eugene but he’s not as enjoyable because he doesn’t have many episodes anymore. I’m a big fan of Mandie too! She’s so relateable to me partly because she’s a teacher’s pet (which I was at my church and at homeschool co-ops as a kid) and because she’s a writer. She’s also got an adorable voice.
OK, weird moment in a fan’s life: I’ve dreamed about AIO at least 3x in my life. 1x I was Katrina. 😶 Last night, it was Buck and me dating and a boy I met last year (that I’m friends with) got jealous. Oddest stuff ever. Lol
Do y’all know who Madison is (the one I talked about in my last comment)?
If not, she was the girl in For a Song who had a crush on Buck. Valerie threatened her when she found out. They had some cute interactions. I’d love to see that get pursued.
In all honesty, I think Jules is keeping Buck from becoming a Christian. I want to see them apart from each other for a while. I’m a bit disappointed that they’re dating now.
This is getting super long. Sorry, I’ve got a couple more things left to say before this AIO rant is finished.
Jason and Whit are the best competitively. I absolutely adored Game Night. Wooton and Penny are the cutest too. I loved hearing her scream at him too. That was hilarious. Jason’s line of, “I guess God didn’t want you to play that game,” was hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing during the whole thing and had to pause it several times and rewind it when I finished laughing so I didn’t miss anything. Lol Connie’s punishment of going in the corner was the best. Lol
Jay is amazing but his crush on Zoe is a little creepy. She’s cute but he goes a bit too far. I think Zoe could use that restraining order she talked about back in album 65. I love his interactions with Buck. I still can’t believe they blackmailed people for Jules in album 70. When I heard his name I was like 😵😤 the anger was for Jules. She should’ve just confessed that it was her journal. It’s not a big deal! Anyway, yeah, Jules is very frustrating.

I totally missed what you said about Richard. I love him!!! I tried to get AIO to bring him back. Maybe once we get a fan club going we could start a petition. Lol

Do you guys have any AIO dreams like visiting the headquarters or even writing and/or acting for them?
I would love to write for them. If I could write remotely, that would be amazing! Idk what the rules are but if they have another internship I’d love to look into it.

did you listen to the episode where Penny and Connie taught an art class at the juvenile detention? I think the two boys Kyle and Ben could be cool characters to add. Maybe they move in with one of the families or they make up a whole new family for them.

I haven’t heard the episodes with him and Suzu living in Whit’s house (special club episodes aren’t available for me rn), but before that, what was up with the drama?? I mean, there wasn’t any clear explanation as to why any of this was happening. Plus he’s just a kid. I was getting super villain vobes, what with the dramatic music and super serious tone, but I just didn’t get it. Ngl, it was a good idea, just executed poorly.

Lol the crush on Bucky 😂😂 Like, I get it, I’m not that much into him, but I get it. His voice is just amazing to listen to, and he actually has admirable traits… Unlike a random girl he’s dating that I could mention…

That’s exactly why I like Jay – he’s creepy to everyone, but honestly harmless 😂 He has a similar personality to one of my characters – disturbingly so. I invented this charrie beforehand, and when they introduced Jay, I was like WHAAAAAA-
Mm… I wouldn’t write for them personally. AIO is like… I like it, it’s one of my fandoms, but if I was offered to work for another Christian fandom – like WFS or GE or something – I’d probably go for something else, you know?
Plus I don’t agree with some of their theology. They’re kinda mainstream Baptist (I think) and I’m Orthodox Presbyterian. A specific example I can think of, is:
They think the Christian chooses God
I think God chooses the Christian
And also:
They think God still speaks to us through visions and modern prophecies (aka leaning towards Pentacostalism)
I think any prophecy would technically be Word of God, and therefore impossible, since in Revelation it says ‘anyone who adds or takes away from Word of God from now on will be cursed,’ and also, Jesus already came, there’s no more reason for visions and prophecies

Yeah, I get that. I can’t say I agree 100% either but technically who can. They’ve got lots of writers with different beliefs. Paul McKusker is a Catholic for example so I think I’d be ok writing for them as far as that goes. 😉 Idk. It’s the only drama I know well enough to write for that’s still going. Most of the things they teach I agree with anyway. I’m a reformed Baptist. The Pastors I listen to most of the time are Alister Begg and John MacArthur to give you an idea of my beliefs. 😉 Although, I do listen to a lot of Presbyterians. I went to the Always Ready conference 2 years ago in PA. I forget the main speaker’s name. Lol
