I love everything by Sir H. Rider Haggard, Elisabeth Elliot, Douglas Bond, and John J. Horn.
I’ve never heard of those books. What kind of stuff do they write?
You can pronounce it however you want.
January 10, 2018 at 12:58 pm #59673@bella-d Have you seen how we “tag” people by putting an “@” symbol before their name?Β That sends an alert to our emails, so we can reply more easily.Β π
@mnvalentine I actually don’t write fantasy. πΒ That’s why I have trouble naming my genre.Β I do a little bit of Historical Fiction, and I did some time travel, which is Science Fiction, but mostly I write modern stories about normal people.Β Homeschoolers, young adults or teenagers who have phones and go on trips in cars or planes, and have modern type adventures.Β Right now I am writing a modern Western.Β It’s not Christian Fiction, really, because they are Christians, but that isn’t a main theme… So I don’t knowΒ what to call it!"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
January 10, 2018 at 1:02 pm #59674@bella-d @dekreel I love those authors too!
H. Rider Haggard is an AMAZING Historical Fiction author.
Elizabeth Elliot – you should have heard of her husband Jim Elliot and Nate Saint, who were martyred by the Aucas, now called the Waorani.Β She later went back and taught her husband’s murderers about Christ.
Douglas Bond – Another His-Fic author.Β His Scottish series’ are really good.
John J. Horn – New guy, whose books are now only on kindle, as far as I know.Β They are very well written His-Fics as well.
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"

Hi, @bella-d! Welcome to the kingdom! Do you like to sing or play any instruments?
January 10, 2018 at 1:38 pm #59687@rochellaine Those stories can be really good! They’re really hard for me to write though.
I’d call it a… modern western π
Silence! Silence everyone, for the king's speech!

@radically-surrendered I love singing, and am currently learning how to play the piano. How about you?
@notawriter Thanks! I’m happy to be here. I like reading, sewing, crocheting and talking with my mom. But I think writing ranks highest of them all π@kylie I like a lot of foods, but I really enjoy trying new ones, especially ones from other cultures. Have you ever tried Cuban food?

January 10, 2018 at 5:40 pm #59738@notawriter Mostly clothes. My sisters and I enjoy seeing things in catalogs or on the street and then re-creating them. I’ll admit out front, I’m a bit of a fashion geek.
@radically-surrendered Yay! I love piano. It takes commitment, but it will be worth it.

January 10, 2018 at 5:42 pm #59740@josiah degreef I am for the most part a full length novel writer. I’ve written some short stories, but I like the longer ones better.

January 10, 2018 at 5:45 pm #59742@bella-d That’s so cool you write historical fiction. Some of us on here do, but the vast majority write fantasy. I write both, and other genres as well. Who’s your favorite historical character?
@rochellaine Yep, it’s called contemporary fiction.π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’
