So I decided to take @ethryndalβs advice and post this on the forum so all you non-Instagramers could see it. π
Every New Year’s Eve, my family holds a gingerbread house decorating contest. Normal people would just decorate it to look pretty, right? Well, I’m weird and always theme my gingerbread houses. For the longest time, I could not come up with an idea for this year. But then it struck me: why not theme it after Kingdom Pen!
Stuck on the roof are two gummy frogs and authentic frozen raspberries. (I nibbled on some and they were delicious! Warning: they are not to be used as building material because they drip, bleed, and are capable of ruining your masterpiece.)
@dragon-snapper melting a chair.
My poor attempt at King @Daeus (I never said I was a master decorator).
Underneath KaPeeFer are steaming cups of poison (a.k.a coffee).

The only thing I don’t like about it is that you’re making me hungry.

January 1, 2018 at 9:08 pm #58662@mariposa Impressive! Iβve never even gotten a gingerbread house to stand up, let alone look that good!
A Kapeefer for life!
Compendium of KP Literature: kapeeferliterature.wordpress.comJanuary 2, 2018 at 10:51 am #58687@supermonkey42 Don’t feel too bad (this gingerbread house was prebuilt). π However, a couple years ago I made a gingerbread house from the walls up, and although it turned out okay in the end, I had trouble keeping the roof from caving in. π
@dragon-snapper Torturing people is fun (and torturing dragons is even more fun). πJanuary 2, 2018 at 3:35 pm #58715@Mariposa This is just as great the second time as it was when I first saw it. I love how loyal we Keepers are. It’s like this downward spiral of corruption; once you become a Kapeefer, it will affect your life forevermore, and your family will be officially convinced that you’re crazy. It’s beautiful.

You know what, never mind. I’m not going to even try to explain how awesome it is. It’s too beautiful. π Was it as tasty as it looks?

January 3, 2018 at 11:11 am #58791@ethryndal True, so true. π
@daughteroftheking Can I tell you a secret? *lowers voice* We never eat our gingerbread houses. Whoever made these kits did not make them for human consumptionβthe gingerbread is as hard as concrete. In fact, we know they are bad because last year we put the houses outside and the animals didn’t even touch them! But we got the kits after Christmas at a huge discount, so it wasn’t like we were throwing away a lot of money.January 3, 2018 at 12:27 pm #58800 -
