      @unsung

That sounds fantabulous! I think it would be so fun to live on a hobby farm! I want peacocks someday (although, they’re loud). and I do really want a horse someday (although, they’re expensive) XD

they are very loud, yes. Whenever we go to California we stay at a place with peacocks and they usually wake us up in the morning. Horses are expensive, but if you can ride them… they are awesomeee!!!

That’s very interesting and kinda cool! I know I’ve picked up on some of my friends’ mannerisms for sure! And the characters of books I read a little bit. But I actually pick up, mostly, on the mannerisms my own characters have! (Isn’t that strange??) and then, once I stop writing about that character, the traits will die out pretty quickly after that!

It’s not too strange, heh. Kinda cool actually. Being a sponge is interesting and cool, and I also pick things up from real people, too. I have to be careful when reading or watching something and when meeting and interacting with people that I don’t mess up the delicate balance I obtain at times, because… if this were a fictional world, I could become a villain, lol, even if I didn’t want to, merely from being overexposed to corrupting influences.

(Also, my life seems like a mess sometimes as well! Lol. sometimes all you can do is curl up in a fuzzy blanket and cry for a good ten minutes before falling asleep. On nights like that ((yes, I am assuming you’ve had those!)) do you tend to feel better, the same, or worse in the morning?)

(yep, sometimes that’s all you can do. ((I have 🙂 )) I tend to feel better in the morning, since adopting the belief of “each morning is the beginning of a new day” and the stance of “let’s just forget the pain and hope it doesn’t come back” ((that has an about 75% success rate, lol)) )

A few questions (since my brain is finally picked up and going again somewhat tonight)

      1. what is your favorite animal (real and fictional)

My favorite real animal is a cat, but my favorite fictional animal is probably my self-created dragons. They are gentle, friendly, protective, and like humans, in some ways, but less corrupted.

      2. if you could have any animal as a pet (real or fictional, fully trained and a nice sidekick-pal) what would it be?

real: my deceased cat Paul. (*sigh* he died mysteriously but probably from coyotes eating him, and I miss him. He was really friendly to me and gentle)

fictional: probably my HofE MC’s midnight black, three year old dragon, who’s really nice and stuff. (She helps MC bury her favorite horse when it is killed, digging the hole with her claws so MC doesn’t have to work all night, and when they are stuck together on a mountain, she keeps MC warm with her body, hugging her close)

      3.what is your favorite colour?

blue. Always has, always will be. Specifically, the cerulean blue crayons crayon blue.

      4. do you prefer candy, chocolate, or neither?

both, heh. It depends on my mood and what I’ve had recently.

      5. coffee or tea?

tea. I love the smell of coffee but can’t stand the bitter taste

      6. what do you think is the coolest name you have ever heard/thought of for fantasy names, one for male and one female?

Male: I don’t know. My favorite is Hannish, which is a name I can up with for one of my characters, who’s a complete jerk, but I sympathize somewhat with.

Female: I also don’t know. XD My favorite might be … oh I don’t know. XD I really don’t know and don’t know how to pick.

Okay! Don’t wanna give you too much lol So I’ll end it there!

There is no such thing as too much, but I appreciate it. 😉

I absolutely love horses! I volunteer at a stable one day a week, and it’s awesome! so many things to learn!

yesssss, mornings are great! Most mornings at least. (do you dream much?)

        Awwwww your dragons sound adorable!

awww, I’m sorry your cat disappeared! We had to give away a cat I had had for about 6 years when we moved away, and I was very sad. I still miss her.

XD XD the names… you sound about me like me when it comes to names!

I would have to say female for me would either be Chrissalynn (who is a WIP character right now) or Fynyth. Or Neeozworth… XD (there are a few)

male…. hmmm… There’s Sathor, I suppose. Or lightning! I actually really like the name Lightning (for a cover name or a real name in fiction) and it works with either male or female!

Okay good! Some crazy questions being currently thrown your way, then! 😀 (And, for the record, I love all kinds of questions! Crazy, serious, ridiculous, deep… lol love them all!)

        1. if animals could talk, which do you think would be the rudest and the nicest?

2.if you could be a fly on a wall, what room (or where/building) would you most frequent?

        3. if clocks were alive, what would their personality be?

        4. if dogs weren’t, what would “man’s best friend” be?

        5. if you could be in any book/story, what would it be?

        6. what would you do if you found your favorite character standing in the street? Who would it be?

        7. if you had the choice, would you make it so that you were sucked into a story, literally, but still be in danger if any came up?

well, that’s all for now! Hope you have fun with those!

That is so fun!! My sister is getting a summer job with the stables across the street from my family.

yesssss, mornings are great! Most mornings at least. (do you dream much?)

Yeah, most mornings. 😉 I… don’t really. I do dream, but not super often. (I wish I dreamt more, sometimes, tho. XD) I’ve definitely had my share of weird dreams and just dreams in general; I’ve mostly managed to escape nightmares, thankfully, but I’ve had a few.

          What about you?

          Awwwww your dragons sound adorable!

Aww, thanks. ☺️ I didn’t want the same generic “dragons are the bad guys” cliche, so these are part of a set of three different animals in the world that were created by God as protectors of specific things, that keep parts of the world in order.

awww, I’m sorry your cat disappeared! We had to give away a cat I had had for about 6 years when we moved away, and I was very sad. I still miss her.

I still miss mine, too. He was special, and nice to have around.

XD XD the names… you sound about me like me when it comes to names!

Okay good! Some crazy questions being currently thrown your way, then! 😀 (And, for the record, I love all kinds of questions! Crazy, serious, ridiculous, deep… lol love them all!)

          (so do I!)

          1. if animals could talk, which do you think would be the rudest and the nicest?

Ohhh, let’s see….. I could honestly imagine ants being the rudest because they are constantly hated and feared despite being relatively small and harmless. (Do they count?) 🤣 And the nicest might be… dolphins, I would imagine. They are just so sociable and fun and seem pretty goodnatured, heh.

2.if you could be a fly on a wall, what room (or where/building) would you most frequent?

Ohhhh, gosh, it’s a close tie between the White House, the Vatican, and my house when I’m gone to college. 😂 I’d love to see how my family gets along without me, but I’d also find it soooo cool to be in the White House and Vatican, watching things happen!

          3. if clocks were alive, what would their personality be?

Depends on the clock, but I’d say that old clocks would probably have a grandparent-like personality, a wristwatch might be pretty teenager-ish, newer clocks might be parent like, and digital clocks would be more full of themselves but not too bad, heh.

          4. if dogs weren’t, what would “man’s best friend” be?

          butterflies or birds

          5. if you could be in any book/story, what would it be?

DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE, PLEASE! 😂 Uhm…. probably my current WIP, tbh, because it’d be SOOOO COOL to meet my characters and just experience the world with all its fun wonders and unique features! (my FP,WS wip.)

          6. what would you do if you found your favorite character standing in the street? Who would it be?

Again DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE! (but for answering the questions sake) I’d say either Samwise Gamgee (*faints at the thought*) or … one of my own characters: either MC from my WIP’s HofE or FP,WS.

          7. if you had the choice, would you make it so that you were sucked into a story, literally, but still be in danger if any came up?

YES!! (depends on the story, tho, but most of the time I’d say yes.)

well, that’s all for now! Hope you have fun with those!

What bout your answers to each question you asked??

Also, hey, @koshka, @godlyfantasy12, @denali-christianson, @others-I’m-forgetting, I have gotten the Wingfeather Saga!! Soooo, now I can read it! (After I finish this second wave of KotLC enthusiastic reading, heh.)

Oh dear me! I did not realize you had answered! Forgive my tardiness!!

Oh wow! That stable is close!

I dream every night. Well, at least it’s very rare that I don’t dream. I don’t mind it too much, but aobut 50%of my dreams are either off-putting or nightmares, so… XD

Yep, ants totally count! And I never even thought of Dolphins, but you’re right; they’d be a good candidate!

LOL interesting! why the Vatican? And do you sometimes feel that you’re the glue that holds your family together?

              1. rudest and nicest

I think the rudest animal could potentially be a Canadian goose. (not because of Canada, but just because geese are downright surly lol) Nicest would be butterflies, I think.

              2. room most frequented as a fly…

hmm… I would say probably… wow! this is hard! But honestly I think some sort of daycare center! It would definitely be entertaining! Either that or the house of one of my friends. I would be curious to see what home life looks like for her. (Not that it’s a secret or anything, but just to see daily life, I suppose Lol)

              3. Clocks’ personalities

You have a point! I think alarm clocks would be the snobbish-teen-girls of the world, demanding and won’t shut up! XD But I feel like most clocks would be pretty chill, gentle but firm.

              4.If dogs weren’t, what would a man’s best friend be…

I may be bias, but I would say either horses or butterflies! Lol (I love both of them) but Horses would have a lot more sass than butterflies.

              5. If you could be in any story, what would it be

Probably either one of my WIPs, or a certain friend’s book

              6. Lol as to favorite character, It would probably be one of mine, because I would know them so well already, and as to what I would do, most of my characters are actually based off real people, so they’re probably not be too unsure!

7.would I go into a story despite danger?

I honestly think I would have to say no! As much as I love writing, you at least get somewhat of the experience by writing (or reading, for most people) For all it’s flaws, I rather enjoy my life right now, and I would be very sad if I had to leave it.

Also, I’m glad you got those books! Are you enjoying them??

And again, sorry for the tardiness! I need to check KP on my own, in case people don’t tag me

Anyways, hello! My names Hallie! How do you do?? I have been absent from the forum for quite a while but am excited to be back!!!

You’ve probably already answered this, but what genre do you like to write in?

And something I try to ask everyone when they first join, what is your favorite punctuation mark??? 🙂

No, I should have tagged you, and I meant to tag you, but I must have forgotten to reran you after accidentally reloading the page. 🙂

LOL interesting! why the Vatican? And do you sometimes feel that you’re the glue that holds your family together?

The Vatican because: first, I’m a Catholic; second, I’d love to see what all goes on in it concerning the everyday life of the Pope and the cardinals and visitors and all that; and third, I’m kind of curious about what being the Pope is like and what all it requires, and what all the Pope does, and the conversations that happen, and just all that behind ruling the Church. 🙂

I honestly think I would have to say no! As much as I love writing, you at least get somewhat of the experience by writing (or reading, for most people) For all it’s flaws, I rather enjoy my life right now, and I would be very sad if I had to leave it.

huh, I didn’t think of that. I thought you meant more of: you can visit. If I had to stay where I went to, I’d probably say no, too. I like where I am now and what I’m doing. But briefly visiting (or visiting for however much time but still being able to come back, like how it works for Narnia), I would say yes to, because I believe I’m an adventurer like that at heart. 😁

I am enjoying them, pretty well! It took a little to get away from KotLC and into them, but I did it, and yes, I have enjoyed the first book so far!

                  @hallie-jean

                  First off! Cool pen name!

Thank you! I am rather proud of it. ☺️

Second of all! DID I HEAR YOU ARE A KOTLC FAN????

Yes, I am! A recent fan (I’d say thankfully, because then I didn’t have to wait for all the books to come out, tho I do with the next was out already, heh) but still a fan. I really enjoy the books and the stories and the development of the conflict between the Black Swan and Neverseen, and the reveals that are coming.

Anyways, hello! My names Hallie! How do you do?? I have been absent from the forum for quite a while but am excited to be back!!!

I am doing pretty well, thank you! Welcome back, then! I have had an account for a while, but I never used it at first, so that’s why I’m technically new, heh.

You’ve probably already answered this, but what genre do you like to write in?

I just 💕LOVE💕 to write fantasy because of all the possibilities it has, and the creative freedom that comes with it. (I love worldbuilding, so I don’t mind having to worldbuild, heh.)

And something I try to ask everyone when they first join, what is your favorite punctuation mark??? 🙂

Ohhh, probably the exclamation point, because it is a happy one, and I like to be happy, even if I’m not actually happy. It kind of cheers me up, weirdly. 😁

how long have you been a KotLC fan??

@unsung I realized I forgot to answer a question so:

And do you sometimes feel that you’re the glue that holds your family together?

I sometimes feel like I’m the one keeping lots of things in order, in my family. I have seen that when I don’t do the dishes or skim the milk, no one does, so it doesn’t get done, so things back up, and considering that my (large) family needs dishes to eat and has limited dishwasher space, I’m really curious about who will make sure those things get done once I’m gone. I’m also the one who helps my mom with preparing meals for the family, and I’m curious to know what’ll happen there after I’m gone, too.

So, I’m not the glue holding the family together, but I do feel that without me, several major things will probably fall apart for a bit, and I’m curious about what the solution will be.

Yes!!!!!!! I love that series so much! The characters are great and that’s probably the main thing I look for in good stories! And the world is really cool too! I’m so excited/nervous for the next book because all the secrets are going to be revealed and we’ve been waiting for them for a while! Um… I think I’ve been into it since around the time the sixth book released. 🙂

I’m glad to hear you are well! And I’m glad to see you on the forum! Hopefully I won’t forget about this platform for months again! XD I’ve really missed it!

Yay! Another fantasy writer!!! I also love fantasy! There are so many possibilities! And world-building is quite fun! Not one of my strong suits, however. But I am currently working on the world of my current story so if you have any tips, please feel free to share! 😉

EXCLAMATION POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do see how that can be fun 🙂 My favorite has to be a question mark. I mean, even the look of it raises a question: why is it shaped like that?????

ALL the secrets? o.o Now I’m a little more nervous and excited!

I’m not the biggest fan of all the main characters, but they are very good, and it’s really only Sophie I can say I have any real problems with.

I don’t know if worldbuilding is my strongest suit, tbh, but I LOVE it and honestly, I sometimes prefer it to the actual writing. 😅

I never really though about that, but it does give me a sense of mystery.

Well, I guess I shouldn’t say all the secrets, but hopefully more! There is supposed to be a tenth book that I think will be the last one…

Sophie isn’t my favorite either, but I definitely admire that she isn’t perfect. I think that makes her realistic. My favorite character is Keefe! 🙂

Yes! I’m finding out the more I build up a world, the more fun it is to explore!

Who (if you have one) is your favorite character in KotLC??? And what is your all-time favorite book or series????

Ah, I thought that may be the reason behind it! I am not catholic, but I have a few catholic friends, and know a bit about it. I’d love to hear more about it if you ever think of anything about Catholicism to tell!

Also, that makes a lot of sense! (If you want to share) how many in your family? I’m the fourth of 6 kids, but the two younger ones are 11 and 12 years younger than me. Right now, my 2 oldest brothers are at Bible school, and the 3rd oldest is going in September. (sigggggggggghh it’s gonna be so lonely for me, cuz my 2 best friends are leaving as well, one in July and one in September.) But good for you that you do those things! I know it can be dogmatic to keep on doing them, especially when you know you have to do them because no one else will! (I’ve had times like that for sure!)

Anyway, that’s all for me! Forgive my tardiness, it’s been very busy here!

                              @unsung

I can think of plenty about Catholicism to share, but I would share better if there’s something specific you want to know. 🙂

(I prefer not to mention it so much, nowadays, because it can seem like I’m bragging, but since you asked, I will tell.) I am fifth of fourteen siblings, with no sets of twins. 🙂 My oldest brother is married and they will soon have a baby; my youngest sister is three.

It gets difficult at times and about once a month, I spend a day complaining about it, but I’m usually fine for the rest of the time. *shrug* It would be nice to get ‘thank you’ a little more often, but I’ll survive. 🙂

Tardiness forgiven. Graduation season and wedding season are usually busy, even for families that don’t have either, so I understand. 🙂

Definitely ask my anything you want about Catholicism, and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. I don’t want to be silent about it, so I can practice speaking up for when I’m out in the world more. And I’m just willing to talk about it. 🙂

                                @hallie-jean

Ah, ok. I hope we get SOME answers in this book, even if not all of them!! (I want to know who the last two Black Swan leaders are, and what Mr. Forkle’s original registered name is, etc. heh)

I admire that she isn’t perfect, too! But, sometimes it seems like she’s too imperfect, and comes across as whiny and more immature than she was or I expect her to be, now. She also seems to have deteriorated in her recklessness, which I’m not too happy with, and I hope that now that she’s working with the council she’ll get back to being respectful of them again.

I love exploring my worlds too!! And honestly, sometimes the ones where I only have sections built are more fun, because you don’t know what lurks in the unexplored regions!! Tho, one of my favorite worlds is one that’s pretty built up, I have to admit.

Well (if I had to pick) I would probably say Linh is my favorite KotLC character, because she hasn’t changed too much (so she can’t have changed for the worse) and she’s pretty calm and, although timid, has plenty of gentle strength in her that comes out when she needs it; she’s not super powerful or fighting strong, but I like that about her because it makes her more relatable for people like me who aren’t incredibly athletically inclined. After her would probably be Mr. Forkle/Sir Astin/Magnate Leto. 😀 Because he’s just awesome and hilarious and caring and kind of like a mysterious grandpa/father figure. heh

I don’t have an all-time favorite book or series because I can’t pick, heh. 😂 But, I do really love Tolkien’s Middle Earth books, and the Narnia Chronicles, and KotLC, and now the Wingfeather Saga (at least what I’ve read so far), and Louis L’Amour’s Sackett series, and the original 11 Ranger’s Apprentice, and … yeah. Heh. I read quite bit and kinda like everything I read, but I’d definitely pick my absolute favorites from among the various Middle Earth books, Pride and Prejudice, the Sackett books and the first two KotLC books.

Hm… it’s hard to get anything specific in my head! It hink I’d like to know just some things that you think are cool and why, and also if there are common misconceptions about Catholicism that most people believe that aren’t true.

Wow! So many siblings! I love it tho! I love giant families XD And that’s exciting about the oldest! One of my brothers is marries and has 1 son with a little girl on the way! I’m super excited to have a niece! (Do you like being an aunt?)

Wow! Good for you! well, please accept this “thank you” from me! 🙂 Because those things seem so menial, but really the noble is wrapped up in the menial! and Millimeters make up miles! (And I just crunched on some sand, and I have no clue where the sand came from or how it got in my mouth! XD) So thank you for all the little things you do that it seems no one notices, because they help the world run smoothly (and Jesus notices every single one of them!)

                                  Well, that’s all for now!

                                  until next time,
