I had this problem.
For six months.Which is why I’m going to help you get out of it.
The way I survived those six months was by writing the first story idea that came to my head the day that I got it. Of course, now I have more than twenty one-page stories that will never be finished on my harddrive, but besides that…
We are writers. Just write down the first interesting thing that comes to your mind. Think about it, a lot. Brainstorm it. Inspiration comes in the strangest places. Maybe in bed. Maybe at breakfast. Maybe several hundred feet underground.
But the point is, just write. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated. It doesn’t have to be anything you plan on finishing. File through old notebooks. Read some of your old work. Look at cool inspirational photos. You’ll get an idea eventually. When I did, it ended up being a trilogy…heh.

I actually got an idea by looking at my microwave just a few minutes ago. *shrugs* Writers are weird like that, I suppose. Now I want to work on that idea, but there’s the tiny problem of my history fair paper. *sighs*
