@photobloggergal Welcome to the Kingdom of Pen! The gender depends on the setting and how you want the plot to go. But for name I use Behindthename.com you can search by name meanings too. Very helpful, That’s what I did. But sometimes I changed the letters a bit. Celandine means swallow(bird). I had looked up ‘bird’ on the site, cause my character has a bird. But I changed the name a bit so that she is Celedine, but goes by Cele. that’s what I did. Helpful?
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
November 5, 2017 at 6:38 pm #51656@emily I like your name because…my sister’s name is Emily! (And wouldn’t you know, I’m a Molly irl.)

@aislinn-mollisong That is too funny! are you older than or younger than your sister? Molly’s my little sis. We’re four years apart.
November 5, 2017 at 10:20 pm #51693I’m older. Three years older. I’m oldest of six. @emily

November 6, 2017 at 10:56 am #51715Hi @Emily!!
My favorite genre to write is definitely fictional novels, not the trashy kind of novels, but really good novels that make you want to meet the characters πThanks for the helpful description! I will definitely take it into mind! The time period of my book is the early two thousands. Right around 2004, I think. So pretty modern, but not super modern yet either.
Thanks for the helpful stuff! π
November 6, 2017 at 11:12 am #51716Thanks @mariposa! I should definitely try to get a baby name book next time I’m at a book sale or a thrift store! Thanks for the help!
Thanks @his-instrument! I’m not really sure if I want the character to have a real meaning to her (yes, I finally decided that they’ll find a girl on the doorstep!) name yet, but thanks for the suggestions and help! TOTALLY with you on naming characters- I write a lot of stories with big families (I’m from a big one myself) so it’s always fun to create names there!
Hello @daeus! I am very happy to be part of this community!
Thanks @shannon! Nameberry looks like a really cool website! I’ll definitely be going there!! <3
Haha @aislinn-mollisong! I have someone in my family named Jason, and I love that name too! I haven’t used it yet in my stories, but that’s a great name yes… will be taking into consideration!! π
@silverclaw-bonnetfolly! That website looks cool too! π
@sarah-anson! Thank you SO MUCH for the suggestions! I love Jeyson, I had never heard it that way, and totally with you the city-country raising options π
@seekjustice! Thanks for the suggestions! Never heard of the name Wolfe, but I would totally use it if I was writing medieval fiction!! And the name Cassia is beautiful! <3
@daughteroftheking! Thanks!
@dragon-snapper! Thanks, I think it’s going to be a girl based on how many votes for that! The couple who finds her are named Tara and Charles, so I’m thinking that Jane might be a good old-fashioned name since they’re kinda old-fashioned too. π Thanks!THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUGGESTIONS! Will tell you as soon as I come up with a name, and as soon as I can get back to writing! I have a **lot** of school to do!! π
Hadassah <3
November 6, 2017 at 11:25 am #51720@photobloggergal welcome to the forum. Love your name btw
{My mom said if we ever had a another child and it was a girl she’d really want to name her Hadara or Hadassah π }
Well I would say make it a girl. I’m not good with names….. hehe when I’m choosing names for a story I just go to nameberry.com and browse through it till I find something that clicks. π Welcome again! *hands you bowl of celebratory ice cream.*

@photobloggergal That’s awesome! Btw, how old are you?
Hmmm…2004. Well Emily was the most popular name in 2004. I was born then. My parents didn’t know that when they named me. π Some of my favorite baby girl names (because it seems like that’s what you’ll end up with) are:
- Molly
- Amy
- Rose
- Faith
- Katie
- Iliana
Hope those help!

@aislinn-mollisong Yeah. Not many have. My dad was married before, you see. I have 17 nieces and nephews. The oldest is just half a year younger than me. It’s crazy but so AWESOME!
