yep, it’s just a prologue and part of 1 chapter right now but hey! I actually did it!
here ya go if you wanna read it:

Now, to those who have read my fanfic, it does have identical species names to that, but know that the Argonites, Salamandrion, Drachenheul (just called Drachen here), Ailurids, and Ornithiforms are completely different. The Suileans and Changelings are more or less the same though. I decided to restrict myself to those species for now, but the others might exist on the other continents that aren’t important to this story.
I think this story will be much more like Lord of the Rings as opposed to Narnia, Wingfeather Saga or our friend Linus Smallprint’s own Narrow Path, to where it’s got a theme of good conquering evil, but few if any direct allusions to God or Christianity, because right now I don’t trust myself to portray that kind of thing accurately.

I read it, and I have to say, it immediately captivated me.
Not only does the Prologue promise us a swash-buckling tale of heroics and battles, but I find the prose rather enjoyable. It definitely has that storyteller feel like Uncle Garth in Secondhand Lions (if anyone gets that movie reference). Maybe not exact, but it reminded me of him.

My prose is weird lol. I kept it in my style (sorta like my fanfic) but I also wanted to inject a bit of the style from books I like.

Sorry, it took me a while to get to that thing, but I finally did!
What you’ve got looks all right. You’re setting up a war and a villain within their own ranks. The prologue does make this more interesting with the old warrior who doesn’t want to be a hero contrasted with his younger self, who is far more eager to fight. Keep it up!
To make sure I am pronouncing things correctly:
Argonites === Are-Gone-Nights
Senturian is pronounced the same as centurion.
Ailurids === Ale-ur-ids
Sometimes it is necessary to paint the sky black in order to see the stars.
