Howdy folks!
I’m L.E. Williams, but everyone calls me Elizabeth. I’ve confused many a professor by going by my middle name. I love Tolkien, my husband, and my cat (not in that order).
I thought I’d say hey since this is my first time actually on the KP forum, even though I’ve loved the site for years. I was also on OYAN until I aged out of the forum (*single tear*) and I guess I’m technically on SE? I was trying to plan a wedding when I signed up, I believe, so that account got left by the wayside. Oops.
Anyway! A few fun facts about yours truly:
- I love words. A lot. And language. Have you ever thought about how we can’t describe words except with other words? I have.
- My cat is named Theophilus and he is indeed most excellent
- I can at least somewhat play, like, 5ish instruments?
- Somehow I managed to live in Tennessee my entire life and barely have a Southern accent.
- I was homeschooled for all of my non-college education. In fact, my husband and I met because of our mutual love for Blimey Cow.
- My college junior thesis compared Tolkien’s music and Appalachian ballads. Don’t ask me how.
- I’m an enneagram 9, and have given up trying to figure out my MBTI. Last time I checked it was INTP, but who knows at this point. 😛
- Video games are cool! Even though I’m still kind of bad at them. I can, have, and will argue over which Link is the best Link. (Hint: it’s Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker one.)
Anyhow, I thought I would just say hey, and that I’m so excited to finally be a KP forum member. I’m looking forward to getting to know some folks! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!! *hands out cookies*

Hi, Elizabeth! We seem to have a lot in common!
- Words are, indeed, amazing. I wish I was better with using them, but I do love admiring others’ better skill with them, lol.
- I can’t play any instruments (I leave that to my dad and my sister; my dad can play I-don’t-even-know-how-many instruments, lol), but I’ve been singing my whole life. What instruments do you play?
- I just graduated homeschool! Blimey Cow is fantastic.
- That thesis genuinely sounds fascinating.
- I’m also an enneagram 9! With MBTI I’m somewhere on the line between ENFP and INFP.
- LoZ was one of my first influences in writing. (Twilight Princess is the only game I have, aside from the Link’s Crossbow Training game that started it all for me, and I still haven’t beaten it, lol.)
Which Tolkien work is your favorite?
Speculative fiction author. Mythology nerd. Singer. Worldbuilding enthusiast.

I love words, too; they’re great. Actually, I have thought about that. Which is why I’ll probably have to make something like a FantasyLanguage-English/English-FantasyLanguage type dictionary if I need to for my own languages. It could turn into an infinite cycle if I have to describe the words I use to describe the words I use to describe the words I use to describe the words I use when describing one singular word. Or even, there might not be words, but unending lines, which would be quite difficult.

Do you write? Prose? Poetry? Do you like coffee? Have you ever read outside when it’s raining? Do you like chocolate cake (I’m assuming you do, of course)? What about ten story buildings? Do you like those?

-I love language as well. And I find it a pity that when I’m translating things, I can’t bring over the exact feeling that words convey in one language to another language.
