But! There is a factor you’ve got here. This is all girls answering. Maybe your theory would apply to boy writers.
February 29, 2016 at 9:11 pm #9475Maybe you’re right. Maybe it’s better not no know … ?

Or a cold night here in Washington. XD
February 29, 2016 at 11:31 pm #9494So @writefury you’re from Washington? That’s awesome. I should start a topic called “where are you from in the USA?” I wonder if we would get one for each state? 😀 Have you got snow??? 😛
March 1, 2016 at 7:44 am #9509Where in Washington? My Grandpa lives in Puyallup near Tacoma and Seattle. (I assume you mean the state)

March 1, 2016 at 11:35 am #9515March 1, 2016 at 10:13 pm #9539Is reading The Lord of the Rings in around two weeks (less, definitely, in stints and long runs) fast? I don’t know. Everyone says I read quickly and when I took the speed reading test I could do 800 to 1000 words per minute and still understand the story. But sometimes I feel that I just want to soak the words up, and in that case I’ll take a really long time. Recently I finished a 500+ page science history book, and goodness, it took FOREVER. But that was because it was non-fiction rather than fiction. I read fiction a lot quicker because it’s easy to flow with the story.
March 1, 2016 at 10:15 pm #9540Oh, but my older brother and one younger sister read at the speed of lightning. But it makes me annoyed because they don’t appreciate the writing at all. Once I quizzed my sister about a book she had just finished and she couldn’t answer a lot of the questions. It made me so mad. I read slightly slower but at least I pick up on the points.
March 1, 2016 at 10:21 pm #9542I read way too fast. Often I’ll actually read through twice when I get a new book. In fact that’s a good judge of how much I like it. Like Tessa, I notice new things reading through the umpteenth time.
I do notice a lot more when listing to an audio book, which is of course slower. Also I read history, or any other denser book more slowly. I think reading at a slightly slower speed is good, but can I do it? No.March 1, 2016 at 10:39 pm #9545Yay, Anna! I’m not the only one who reads like that. My sister on the other hand read soooooooooo slowly. She has so many good books to read and it will take her forever to get to them. And I have to be careful not to spoil the plot before she’s read them. But thankfully she is starting to speed up.
