@Solfyre
Klayden
She grinned and poked his arm with her tail. “But there’s a beach! You could swim later if you want to.”
“Well, I’m to tired to swim, but maybe sometime tonight we could meet up out there?” Klayden proposed.
Freya gave a disappointed look. “I would love to, but I think Zeniya, Jax, and Soril are wanting to meet us here in the lobby later. Jax is really looking forward to seeing you,”
Klayden smiled. “Well if it’s for Jax, I can wait for our beach visit. Until then, you wanna go wait in the lobby? Or are we in the lobby?”

May 20, 2023 at 7:39 pm #144315Klayden smiled. “Well, if it’s for Jax, I can wait for our beach visit. Until then, you wanna go wait in the lobby? Or are we in the lobby?”
“This is the lobby,” Freya told him with a grin. “And I just now remembered the thing about the others coming. Soril will probably room with you, but I have the feeling Jax will want to go with Zeniya.”
Klayden nodded. “Rooming with Soril should be fun anyways. The others are coming soon, then?”
Freya shrugged. “I think so.” She pointed at some of the humans in the room. “The two girls over there are Falon and Anika. Logan is over there, too. That’s all I really know right now, but Falon said something about her father being here.”
Klayden’s stomach growled, and he grinned sheepishly. “You wanna go see if there are snacks?”
Freya smirked at him. “If you’re hungry, sure. Zeniya and Soril and Jax can wait a few minutes if they get here.”

May 20, 2023 at 7:47 pm #144319“You might want to run,” Logan whispered in Anika’s ear.
Oh my goodness . . . . 🤣🤣🤣
Anika
“I trusted you,” Falon said.
“I’m sorry, it was stupid of me.” Logan turned to Anika. “Maybe we should go on that hike with Falon.”
“Um, it’s okay,” Anika said, glancing at Falon. “I’ll just let you guys go. I should probably go check on Freya anyway.” She didn’t want to intrude . . . and it seemed like she had just made things worse for them. “I’ll see you tonight though.”

May 20, 2023 at 7:55 pm #144322Another one @kyronthearcanin ? okay.
Klayden
“Let’s go then. Beat you there-” Klayden started.
“Wait, Klay! I think this place is supposed to be formal,” Freya said, grabbing Klayden’s arm to hold him back.
“Oh, I see. I that case,” he said, holding out his arm, “let’s go there formally.”
Freya smiled at Klayden, then linked arms with him. They walked to a table and Freya sat down. “I’ll be back with the food.”
As soon as he was out of her sight, he started rolling through the building, zooming past a few humans having an argument about Star Wars and some other strangers. He finally found the snack stand. The snacks did not meet his standards for Freya. He kept rolling until he found a kitchen. He peered around to make sure nobody was there. “Perfect…” he muttered. He crept in and started cooking a fancy meal with the ingredients he could find. He was almost done when someone came in.
“What are you doing in here?” he said sternly.
“Look buddy. There’s a girl waiting for me in the lobby, and I really need to impress her. So… Let it go just this once? Eh?” Klayden said, holding the man’s shoulder and smiling hopefully.
The man stood for a few seconds and then said, “Oh fine. I’d better not get in trouble for this!”
“You won’t!” Klayden said happily. The man left and Klayden finished the meal. He balanced it on his back while rolling back to the lobby. He uncoiled before he entered Freya’s sight, then walked casually to her. “Your dinner,” he said, proud of himself. Then he sat down and waited for her response with a grin.

May 20, 2023 at 8:08 pm #144325Freya gawked at Klayden as he walked into the room, carefully holding a plate filled with an extravagant meal. “Your dinner,” he said, and sat down opposite her.
She smiled and took a bite, trying not to grin wider when she tasted the delicious meal. “You stole this from the kitchen, didn’t you?”
He shrugged. “Didn’t steal it. I cooked it myself.”
“Well, it’s very good,” Freya said. “Here.” She slid the plate to the center of the table so they could both reach it. “You forgot to make anything for yourself. Try some.”
He rubbed his hands together. “Sounds good to me.”
They finished the meal, then Klayden extended his arm again and they returned to the lobby. There, Sorril- the Capra (talking mountain goats essentially, for those who don’t know) from the Telgryph Range- and Zeniya and Jax, two Vulpes (talking fennec foxes with black fur), waited for them.
“Klay!” Jax ran and tried to make the jump into Klaydin’s arms. He missed, but the Vermillian leaned down to catch him just in time. The little Vulpes burried his nose in Klaydin’s arm. “Jax missed you.”

“I missed you too, bud. Guess what!” Klayden said, becoming a child again.
“What?” he said, eager to hear what Klayden had in mind.
“We’re gonna go swimming tomorrow!”
“Yay! What swimming?” Jax said, confused yet unbearably adorable.
“You’ll see. It’s a lot of fun.” Klayden said, grinning. Then he gave Jax a hug. “I’m gonna finish my meal now. You want some?”
“Yes, Jax hunger,” he replied.
Klayden gave him a portion of the meal, and Freya grinned, seeing her strong, tough friend all the sudden turn into a six-year-old. That’s what she loved most about him. “You know,” she said to Jax, “Klayden cooked this all by himself.”
“Good job, Klay,” Jax said, then hugged Klayden. Klayden was at his happiest.
Zeniya stood beside -practically underneath- the table, exhausted from her little brother, yet glad to see his complaints of missing Klayden come to an end. “Alright, Jax, let’s go get some sleep.” She winked at Freya.
“See tomorrow, Klay!” he said as Zeniya carried him away.
“Bye, bud.”

“Bye, bud,” Klayden said as Zeniya started off with Jax clinging to her back. Soril nodded at Zeniya and then went to talk to Klayden.
Freya stood and stretched out her arms. “I’ll go join Zeniya and Jax. I have the feeling the Vulpes won’t be going to bed any time soon. I can take him off Zeniya’s paws for a little while.”
Klayden seemed a little disappointed, but he smiled. “Alright! I’ll see you tomorrow, Freya.”
“Bye, Klay,” she said with a grin, and ran to catch up with Zeniya as the elevator began to close. “So,” she said, kneeling beside the Vulpes, “I suppose you’ll be rooming with us?”
Zeniya nodded. “If Jax isn’t any trouble. Oh, maybe I should have let him go with Sor and Klayden…”
“Don’t worry about it. It should be fine,” Freya said. “I think Anika will like Jax. I don’t know about Falon, but I have the feeling Jax can grow on anybody.”
Jax leapt down off Zeniya’s back, rubbing up against Freya’s legs. She scooped him up into her arms and he perched on her shoulder. “What a Falon?”
“It’s a girl,” Freya said, sharing a grin with Zeniya. “You’ll probably meet her sometime tonight. Then we’ll go swimming tomorrow.”
“With Klay!” Jax exclaimed, smiling. He frowned, wrinkling his nose. “What swimming again?”

Klayden stood. “Soril! My friend!” then he gave the small mountain goat a hug. Forgetting about Soril’s super strength, he was surprised by the force Soril’s hug gave. “Oof. Still as strong as in the good ‘ol days.”
“Yep,” Soril said, “Quite the thing you’ve got going on with Freya.”
“Oh, whatever. Let’s go meet the others.” Klayden said, with an irritated grin. They went to the elevator and examined it for a while. “How does this work?” Klayden said. He poked one of the buttons, and they were trapped inside.
“What did you do?” Soril yelled.
“I didn’t do anything. Here, you try.” He grabbed Soril and pushed him in front of the button panel. Soril pushed another button a bit to hard, busting the whole thing and causing sparks to fly everywhere. The lights turned off in the elevator and it stopped moving. “Great,” Klayden said. “Looks like we’re staying the night in this wretched machine.”
“Looks like it.”
The two remained silent for a little while. “That’s it,” Soril said. He grabbed the elevator doors and pried them open. He almost fell out into a network of ropes. “I’m gonna go through here. I’ll get someone to help you out.”
“Wait!” Klayden shouted. But it was too late. He was gone. Klayden sat down awkwardly, rolled up, and fell asleep.
