I am advertising this video game by word of mouth because it’s the best game this year. I highly recommend Silksong. It is a sequel to Hollow Knight, so you should play Hollow Knight first if you’re interested, but they’re both on the cheap side for video games.
I know a lot of people here don’t care for video games because there is a ton of slop out there. But making a good game is a skill and can have amazing results. This game was developed over seven years by mainly three people. They’ve impacted my creativity a lot. It is a metroidvania with beautiful art and music. The drawings are hand-drawn and animated, and the music composed by one person. The mechanics are both super hard and satisfying. The storytelling is also great.

YES! I love Hollow knight so much and silk song looks soooo good! I still need to play it tho- But I have it downloaded. It should 100% win game of the year. And yes- I did just return from the dead to say how amazing it is.

I agree. If it loses, then the whole awards system is rigged. Unless Deltarune wins for some reason. I haven’t played that but I know by word of friends that it’s also great.
