Do you have a favorite character from one of your WIPs?

This is a very hard question to answer. I know everything there is to know about each one of them (note the phrasing; I do not know everything about them, but I know everything there is to know about them.) because I brought them into existence.

That being said, my favorite character is probably Benedict Binger (known as Bing).

Bing is the MC of one of my WIPs: a sci-fi story (it’s supposed to be sci-fi, at least) with a plot that involves asteroids and summer camp, in the current iteration of the story-line (the bit of the story-line I know, that is). Some of Bing’s characteristics are that he is a teenager (I think he’s a little short for his age), he’s an only child (but his best friend has a big family), he’s an astrophysics geek (not nerd, mind you), and he really likes Star Trek (Original Series).

Hi Sarah! Welcommmme! *throws confetti* I’m euodia.vision., a recent newcomer to the Kingdom Pen as well! I’m a homeschooled junior who loves to create art, imagine stories, and gaze at the beauty around me! I mostly dabble in the fantasy realm as far as writing goes.

I love, love, love L.M. Montgomery’s books! Which book of hers is your favorite? (sorry if you already answered this question somewhere XD) And I saw you like historical fiction, have you ever read any of Alan Gratz’s books?

*tries to think of questions no one else has asked yet*

        1. What place do you wish you could visit the most?

        2. Romance, yay or nay?

        3. Weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

Welcome again and can’t wait to see you around!

Bing is an awesome name, I love it! And the story he’s in sounds really cool too. Asteroids and summer camp. I would totally read that. Also, having an only child character with a friend who has a bunch of siblings is one of my favorite tropes. Your story as a whole just sounds really fun.

My favorite breed of dog is probably Australian-Cattle-Dog-Mix because that’s what my dog is, so of course it’s the best kind of dog ever and I’m totally not biased. I also like Golden Retrievers and Black Labs.

Sounds adorable!! My favorites are Siberian huskies and Australian shepherds. (Yeah… totally not biased either. We happen to own a husky 😜)

Favorite character from Anne of Green Gables – that’s a hard choice! – I’m going to say Marilla because she’s so well written (In my opinion she’s well written, at least).

So interesting! I’ve never heard anyone say that before. (Not that I go around asking people what their favorite character from Anne of Green Gables is, lol) If I had to pick, I’d say either Anne or Gilbert. (Lol) Or Matthew. He’s really great!!

Peru. As for the why, I was planning to go in 2020… so plans got delayed indefinitely (and at one point there mentions of terrorists, so plans were canceled outright). I hope to go someday (when money, politics, economics, etc. aren’t problems)

Cool!! My dad and some people from our church went on a mission trip to Peru a while back. From what I’ve heard, I wouldn’t want to go for that specific reason. Like, I love helping others and showing them the love of Christ, but I lean towards the glamping side of the spectrum rather than roughin’ it. XD

I just noticed that I never told you about my writing! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anywho, so I my main WIP is ya dystopian, going by the name of the Endoxos Trilogy. I have ideas for other stories in a variety of genres though.

So that’s it. Just wanted to let you know, lol. XD

I think my favorite L.M. Montgomery is probably Anne of Avonlea, though that might be in part because in all movie adaptations I’ve of the series they gloss over that bit of Anne’s life..

I haven’t read any of Alan Gratz’s books, I’ll have to look in to that.

I pick may. Maybe, maybe not. Depends.

                  Weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

I like grapefruit. And grapefruit juice. Some people think that’s pretty weird.

I’ve been having a little difficulty with that, but I think I’m making progress.

I mentioned asteroids and summer camp: my current thought is that either Bing lives on the asteroid and goes to camp on Earth, or vise-versa. I’m also planning to include teleporters, communicators, and other technologies that mimic the ones from Star Trek (to a certain degree). But that’s about all in terms of specifically defined sci-fi things.

Cool! This actually reminds me of this cute show we just finished watching. It’s called Silverpoint. 4 kids are at a summer camp, and they find a strange object sticking out of the ground in the middle of the woods, and they kept calling it the Rock. Strange things start happening ever since. At first it seemed pretty b level, but the writing was actually really good, and it became really interesting.

It’s nice to hear people other than myself say they think my story is awesome!

If you ever want to learn more about Bing, I have bits of a draft for the first chapter, and some descriptions of how part of the school system works, if your interested.

                                  2. I haven’t, it’s never really been something I’ve thought to try.
                                  3. Favorite TV show: probably Murder, She Wrote; Favorite movie: The Music Man.
