      Welcome Sarah!! I’m Esther: a volleyball-playing, violin-squeaking, dog-obsessed, homeschooled, God-loving, amateur writer!!

And I like dogs, who doesn’t (rhetorical question)!?

Whoop, whoop!! Of course who doesn’t like dogs?? *is bombarded by cat lovers* lol Dogs are amazing!!

So cool that you’re a homeschooler too!! And you love Anne of Green Gables?? Same here, girl!! They are just so good!! 😀

      Now for the questions!

      1. What is your favorite breed of dog?

      2. Who is your favorite character from Anne of Green Gables? And why?

      3. If you could visit anywhere for a week (if money, politics, economics, etc. weren’t problems), where would it be? Why?

(Sorry if my response sounded rushed. I have to leave for band practice is like 5 minutes. XD)

Anywho, nice to meet you and see ya around!!

Write what should not be forgotten. — Isabel Allende

Nerd, you say? I know the dictionary definitions of both the word ‘Nerd’ and the word ‘Geek’, which probably qualifies me as a nerd (as opposed to a geek), though I have been mislabeled ‘Smart-Alec’ before.

Things that intrigue me about history: I like the fashion, for one thing, but more than that, I like the way of life and the social conventions. I’ve heard people say ‘I’m glad I didn’t live then. Life was so hard.’, but life is hard regardless of era, so to a point I want to learn the good things of history so that I can prove them wrong. (Sorry if that explanation was a tad long-winded)

I’ve never tried writing a mystery before (though I want to). It can be a challenge, no matter what writing you do, to make the reveal surprising and fulfilling at the same time; it’s a delicate balance.

If you can be up for something, and down for something, and both of those means that you want to do that something, then what do you say when you don’t want to do that something?

        No thank you.

I have read some Agatha Christie, but not a great deal.

Answers to your other random questions:

          1. Depends on the season. In fall, I usually go hot apple cider; In winter, hot cocoa; Most of the rest of the time, I have milk with breakfast and iced sweet tea (a delicacy in the American South) with lunch and dinner.
          2. Dogs.
          3. A Time Machine (if it didn’t include the problematic loop-holes)

I have read all 8 Anne of Green Gables books, and I think the second one might be my favorite, though that may in part be because in all the movie adaptations I’ve seen they gloss over that part of Anne’s life.

I’ve not read the Little Women books, but I’ve heard a lot about them and they’ve been on my list to read for a while.

That’s awesome! It’s always a great thing to recognize that humans were in fact humans a long time ago too. Life was always hard, the difficulty has just changed to different kinds of trials. It’s a strange misconception shared across humanity, that the now is different and somehow better to then, because we know more, and are socially evolved and morally superior in comparison. We know scientifically it’s not the case, but we tend to think it regardless. There’s a great book called Decline of the West that gets into the theory of this in depth, I’ve barely scratched the surface of that monstrosity though.

(Sorry if that explanation was a tad long-winded)

Oh, welcome to KP my friend, you will see what it means to be “a tad long-winded”.

Yeah, it’s defiantly a balance, I haven’t read many mysteries, I’m more into sci-fi fantasy, like Brandon Sanderson. He’s a SSF writer, but he makes great mystery reveals in his books. Hope you don’t mind recommendations. Do you have any particular books and/or authors that you would recommend for good reveals?

              No thank you.

I would want a Time Machine too (hence my forum picture). I would also want a dragon… Oh, I LOVE apple cider! (Why did I forget to add that to the question?)

I have also read all of the Anne books… they were a part of a “phase” I had where I also read all of the Laura Ingals-Wilder books and the Little Women books… then I read a load of fantasy. Do you read fantasy much?
And, yes. Just yes. Dogs are fantastic. Do you have a favourite breed?

We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good on, eh?

Are you a plotter, a pantser, or a tweener?

I think I’m between plotter and pantser. For all the main stories that I’ve actually made any progress on, I’ve started with a loose outline and intention to write and then begun to flesh out the MC/MCs and worked from there.

Oooo cool! I’ve always thought that carving things looked like fun, except knifes are involved. XD

It is fun, but I understand your caution of sharp bladed objects. However on my latest wax project (carving a spiral out of a white, unscented candle and filling it with a colored, scented, wax melt) the main implement I’ve been using is a hairpin.

My favorite breed of dog is probably Australian-Cattle-Dog-Mix because that’s what my dog is, so of course it’s the best kind of dog ever and I’m totally not biased. I also like Golden Retrievers and Black Labs.

Favorite character from Anne of Green Gables – that’s a hard choice! – I’m going to say Marilla because she’s so well written (In my opinion she’s well written, at least).

If you could visit anywhere for a week (if money, politics, economics, etc. weren’t problems), where would it be? Why?

Peru. As for the why, I was planning to go in 2020… so plans got delayed indefinitely (and at one point there mentions of terrorists, so plans were canceled outright). I hope to go someday (when money, politics, economics, etc. aren’t problems)

Hello! I love your pfp! It’s really pretty.
Also, I love Murder, She Wrote. I started watching it with my dad. Apparently it was my grandma’s favorite show.

Oh, and I’m Loopy. I like writing fantasy/sci-fi and drawing.

I have but one question: Have you ever had watermelon on pizza?

I do like recommendations. They broaden my reading spectrum.

I don’t have any specific authors to suggest for good reveals, but if you’re interested in reading more mysteries, there are a few series I’ve read that I liked (as I said, if you’re interested).

I take it you found my answer to

… amusing? Baffling? Surprising? Disappointing? I’m not quite sure how to interpret such an assortment of miniature yellow facial expressions.

No. I have never had watermelon on pizza. And I never intend to. It sounds (at the risk of being offensive) completely revolting. I am willing to try many culinary things, but watermelon pizza is not one of them.
