@smiley Hiiiiiiii I’m Starshiness and welcome to KP!
*gasp* You’re writing a sequel to A Week Away?!?! That’s amazing!!! I love that movie! I only watched it for the first time somewhat recently so I am still obsessed with all the songs heheh… your summary of the storyline sounds so interesting! Ooo I’m so glad you are including Avery questioning about Will’s indecision on his faith. That was the only thing that bothered me about the movie–they weren’t clear on whether or not Will actually got saved in the end or just moved on from being skeptical about being cared for… I mean he coupled up with Avery who’s supposed to be a strong Christian so I wondered…
Anyhoooo, hope to see you around!
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.
April 20, 2023 at 5:59 pm #140728I prefer the shows over the movies. my favorites are Mandalorian (but i only made it to the second season) and clone wars but only the episodes with Asoka in them.

@smiley You’re very welcome!!!!
oh, I forgot to mention, I’m also homeschooled! XD (forgot to mention it…I was so excited to meet you! 😁)
YESSS, a Captain America fan!!!!! Fist Bump!!! 🤜🤛 (although i have to admit that Bucky Barnes is my ultimate fav 😂 Steve is in a very close second 😁😉❤️) And welcome to the club!!! We have plenty of Marvel nerds here on KP…tho I may be the biggest one so far 😂 Which Marvel movie is your fav? (WINTER SOLDIER!!!!!!! 😍)
Ahh, I love the sound of that so much!!!! It sounds like it will be amazing!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Aww, thanks! ❤️ It’s an amazing genre!!! Yea…there’s a lot of research, but I love History so much that I don’t really mind, XD, and in the end, it’s worth it! My current main WIP is about WWII (my favorite time period!!!) and more specifically, the Holocaust. But I won’t bore you down too much with the details 😂
Your Sci-Fi sounds epic too!!! What’s it about??? 😁 If you don’t mind sharing!!! ❤️
April 20, 2023 at 6:23 pm #140743Hi Smiley! Welcome to KP!
I’m TheArcaneAxiom. I love math, searching for divine fundamental truth, and applying that to my writing. I’m currently working on a sci-fi/fantasy multiverse with my sister.
Questions:
Sci-fi is awesome! What type of worldbuilding do you prefer for it, hard or soft? (Hard meaning more concrete defined rules for the reader to understand, and soft meaning more anything is possible and unknown. Sci-fi by definition is meant to be a scientific kind of fiction, but many still do soft worldbuilding for this, where you can have some fancy technology that can do whatever you want it to, which isn’t a bad thing, because hard/soft worldbuilding in general is a spectrum.)
What’s your favorite sci-fi concept you’ve come up with? (Or favorite concept that you didn’t come up with?)
What’s your favorite romance trope, and how do you avoid being cringey in writing romances, or do you embrace the clichés?
And last but not least:
If you build a robot, then a while later it breaks its arm, so you replace it, it breaks the other, so you replace it again, and you keep replacing parts of the robot until all the original parts are no longer present. Is it the same robot?
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

Captain America has been my favorite for so long!! and how do you expect me to choose just one Marvel movie?! But if I have to it would be between Spiderman Far From Home and Ant-Man or Captain America the First Avenger.
And I enjoy some history but it depends on the time period, but WWII I find it really interesting specifically the holocaust. So if you don’t mind sharing what is it about?
here is the blurb for Tomorrow’s War
In a world where the government destroys all religions including Christianity and destroys countless families. Two siblings who are split up young grow up in different circumstances.
Alex (Alexa) is the older sister. after witnessing her parents’ murder she finds a home with a Christian couple. She leads an illegal bible study which when discovered changes her life forever. Finding an old base in the deep woods where she hides out she finds the truth and also her brother.
Tristan grows up with his non-believing aunt and uncle. Tristan loses all hope for things to change and in rage, he hacks into the government database. But like many things that happen when you do things out of rage, he fails to hack around the guarded security system and ends up bringing the military to his own house. What he finds in the database leads him to the same place as his sister.
Skylar grows up in a dark past where she becomes hateful of the supreme leader. After following Alex into the Woods she helps discovers the truth and falls for Alex’s brother Tristan. She tries to get rid of her hate and rage and replace them with hope and love.
Anakin is torn between his heritage and his love for Alex who shows him compassion and faith. Having looked up to his father a great military general. He believes it’s his destiny to follow in his footsteps. But when he uncovers the dark side of his father he fears it might be too late.
This story shows the difference between hope and compassion and rage and hate. It also shows God’s love and standing strong on your faith. This is an action-packed romance-filled dystopian story.

-ThorneApril 20, 2023 at 6:33 pm #140746Thanks, @thearcaneaxiom
my SCI-FI story probably leans softer but I don’t go too deep into the science behind the planet and tools I do add a few futuristic parts like Drones and robots.
Honestly Star Wars lol specifically The Clone Wars lol I don’t think anything I’ve made can compare lol
to avoid the cringe I do a lot of sad twists. I really love a good love triangle where one person holds in their feelings for so long and gets their heart broken over and over again. It’s really sad but really impactful
and I wouldn’t consider it the same robot
thanks for the questions!

@smiley Steve is just AMAZING!!!! 🤩 Haha, it’s hard, trust me, I know!!! 😂😂 Great choices tho!!! I’ve only seen the Captain America one though…😅 I’m sure the others are fantabulous though!!! XD
Yessss, I feel ya. I love most history, but ancient history??? Ehhhhh…not really XD I can absolutely share about it!!! (it will actually be a duology sort of thing, in that the book will have to be split into 2 novels just because it’s so long…😅😂) so bc I’ve only recently decided to split it into 2 novels, I’ll have to change my written synopsis a little, but basically it’s this:
1944, and the Second World War is Raging
Leon Wagner, a Jewish young man, husband, and father, is doing his best to protect his family from the growing darkness. But it creeps inside, and he and his wife are thrown into one of the camps he thought were only rumors. Battling through abuse and starvation and facing the biggest loss of his life, Leon is plunged into hate.
Riker Schind, an SS Lieutenant, is only doing his “duty” to protect his family from suspicion and strife. The war continues to rage on, and when Riker is transferred to a nearby camp to work, his entire life is turned upside down. He has found The Holocaust. Guilt of what he’s helped do to thousands, millions, of innocent people pierces his heart, and a new mission takes place in his heart. But the guilt still haunts him, until it reminds him of the past he’s fought hard to forget.
(Riker, as almost everyone here knows, is my baby 😂😍❤️)
OH. MY. GOODNESS. I LOVE THAT SO MUCH!!!!!! I NORMALLY DON’T LIKE SCI-FI…BUT THIS!?!?!?!? AHHHH, I LOVE IT SO MUCH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

and I can be the same way it really depends on the SCI-FI but this story has been in my mind for way too long lol

@smiley Aww, thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️ That makes me so happy to know that you love it!! I’ve talked about Leon and Riker in another forum where everyone’s talking about their characters, like, went into more detail, if you’re curious at all 🙂
haha, ikr? XD Some ideas just won’t leave…😂 But I think they stay in our heads for a reason!!! And I just love the sound of it sooooo much!!!!! Like, I’m in love already!!! 😍😍😍
i knowwww….it just…it’s just so much more boring than modern history XD I just LOVE modern history. 😁

I’ll be sure to check that out. and it’s such a terrible and tragic time but in my opinion, a book that makes me cry is a good book lol.
And I totally agree. coming up with plot ideas is probably my strongest skill in writing. especially romance and family ideas.
I know there are only so many things I can hear about ancient history before I’m bored to tears. Although I do like reading about roman histories like the coliseum and stuff. I really like learning about the civil rights movement as well
