Oh…um… Since…Probably 2011, but it was sporadic, short, and limited to a certain forum. I wrote and finished my first serious story (fan fiction) in 2012, and I’ve continued with a passion since then. Aside from abandoned attempt at writing my own fiction in mid 2012, I stuck to fan fiction for most of my writing life, trying my own fiction again with a story I developed 2 years later, which also became abandoned.
It’s really only this year I’ve seriously began to write my own fiction. There’s Aquila, a story idea (probably better suited for a TV show) where two teenagers from the same school, one of which who is autistic, solve mysteries, and another idea which is based in Minecraft, but the latter two things I haven’t written down yet.
I’ve also had some other ideas that didn’t get too far, like Homeland, a sort of Medieval setting where a harbor village gets ransacked, and two teenager friends, Jesse Smith and Hillary Fletcher, along with Payton Smith, Jesse’s little sister, are the only ones who escape. I later “reveal” that where they’re actually on a colony planet.
Another one, based off of a game series I made a lot in GameDev Tycoon called Outstation Carthage (featured in Aquila), where incidents and mysteries aboard a massive deep space station get solved by a bunch of underdogs.
And Tales From the Colony, which is basically a boy’s journal living on and surviving hardships on another colony planet (can you see a pattern? :P). I’ve had ideas for a biological weapon called Locoids, which are genetically modified locust which can only breed one or two generations before “going extinct,” are pesticide resistant, eat pretty much anything plant-based, and have a rapid metabolism. They level crops, clothing, and strip trees of their leaves and their bark, lay eggs, and then die. An idea that just came into my head is to make them toxic, so nobody can eat them.So yeah, that’s the story of my writing journey. If you like, I could probably post some of the fan fictions on KP. It’d be interesting to post my the first story I finished, All Computers Have a Recycle Bin (a Portal fan fiction). It…is…so…funny! I was trying to write a serious story, of course, but it was so…immature! More dialogue than description (could actually be a good script), over descriptions of things that were less than not even relevant to the plot, and, as one reviewer put it, a “mildly disturbing overuse of exclamation marks!” XD
December 3, 2016 at 12:30 pm #22135@Leumeister Sounds like some interesting stuffs. I…do see a pattern. 😛
I’m not sure if whole stories are allowed to be posted on the forum; @Daeus probably does. You could post an excerpt though, just for us to read a bit.
I know, reading immature writing (especially if it’s your own 😛 ) can be so funny.December 3, 2016 at 1:11 pm #22137There’s no rule against posting a whole story on here, but there are reasons not to do so. First, if it’s just for entertainment, this isn’t the most convenient place to read a story. If you want editing help though, there are much better ways to get edits (email the document to those interested or use google docs). However, I should mention that if you’re wanting editing help, I’d recommend asking for an exchange — doing editing for somebody else in exchange for them editing your work. I think most people on here would like to help you with your story, but they are busy like everybody so that mutual exchange might turn the tide.

December 3, 2016 at 8:20 pm #22147I just found the huge paragraph describing a Super NES in my Portal Fan fiction… Oh my word! XD
Okay, fair enough. Would it be okay to link it via Dropbox or to another website where it’s published?

December 24, 2016 at 4:12 am #23214@leumeister Just so you know…I’m still dying of curiosity to find out why you choose “Leumeister” as your name? I’m guessing it’s not your real name…
December 24, 2016 at 4:16 am #23216Um… Actually…
Just kidding! It is based off my name, though. I’m not entirely comfortable telling you my name, though. As I said before, trying to be internet safety-smart.

December 24, 2016 at 4:18 am #23218Okay. @leumeister Internet safety-smart is a wise idea. *Sighs* I shall just have to die now. 😉 Or I’ll just be a cat and have nine lives. 🙂 🙂 🙂
December 24, 2016 at 4:19 am #23220@perfectfifths Is that a line from something? Or a family thing??? 😉

December 24, 2016 at 4:21 am #23224I just realized that @perfectfifths. I went to the “Quote That” topic and I’m sure I know it, but I can’t think of it.
Actually I just thought of a great quote that I’ve got to put in there. *wonders whether to wait* *can’t*December 24, 2016 at 4:24 am #23226@bluejay 😀
