www.jennaterese.comJanuary 8, 2018 at 11:29 pm #59477@jenwriter17 Fiddle is awesome! I agree. There is no such thing as too many books. It’s one of those English phrases that don’t make sense. Sort of like raining cats and dogs. It just means a lot. Okay, I just made that up, but anyway š
My favorite books include aforesaid Narnia, LOTR, a lot of classics like A Tale of Two Cities, Harry Potter…The list goes on and on. And I really like Pyle’s Robin Hood. Les Miserables is basically beyond words. And there are definitely other books that are slipping my mind. I have to say, L. M. Montgomery is one of my favorite authors, though. I’ll read anything written by her. She writes amazing descriptions. And of course C. S. Lewis and Tolkien, and Jane Austen, and a lot of other people.
If I keep listing things I’ll crash the forums… š
What are some of your favorite books?

January 9, 2018 at 12:29 am #59482@mnvalentine I like Narnia too and Tale of Two Cities. I also really like the Kingdom series and Knights of Arrethtrea series and Wars of the Realms series (by Chuck Black), Baker Family Adventures series (C R Hedgecock), books by Douglas Bond, A Horse for Kate (and about a dozen other horse books), Sergeant Reckless (another horse book), Little House on the Prairie, and i could go on and on

www.jennaterese.comJanuary 9, 2018 at 2:28 am #59483@mnvalentine Belated welcome!! We have really similar taste in books. I LOVE Les Mis and A Tale of Two Cities, and Narnia and LOTR. I really didn’t like Pyle’s stories though, I thought he wrote too old fashioned for me too understand properly š
What was the last book you read?
INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.
January 9, 2018 at 11:00 am #59503@mnvalentine That does sound helpful to be able to switch from one to the other if you run into writer’s block or plot holes with one particular story. I may have to try that out for myself some day.
Thanks–I’m glad you enjoyed reading those. š They’re a lot of fun to write. And thanks for the well-wishes as well (both you and @jenwriter17)! I’m looking forward to see what happens with those proposals. š

January 9, 2018 at 11:26 am #59506@seekjustice Hi! Pyle can definitely be hard to read if you’re not used to it š I really like the style, but I know a lot of people who don’t.
I’m in the middle of reading Les Mis again, and before that I read a lot of books really close together, including Snow White and Rose Red by Patricia C. Wrede, Emily of New Moon by L. M. Montgomery, and Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. The books I got for Christmas š
How about you?

January 9, 2018 at 3:34 pm #59530@mnvalentine Welcome to the forum! I stalked the forum for a week before I joined. You play fiddle? IĀ used to play violin, I didn’t do a whole lot of fiddling, though. Those take quick thinking! I’m into photography, too! How on earth do you go about photographing squirrels??
I can't believe it's not butter!
January 10, 2018 at 9:03 am #59626@mnvalentine Welcome to the bestistest place on the Internet!! I play the violin and live in Taiwan. Nice to meet you!

literatureforthelight.wordpress.comJanuary 10, 2018 at 10:47 am #59638@itsastarrynight Hi! That’s cool. Fiddle is harder in ways and easier in ways š Mostly to photograph squirrels you use a long zoom and sneak around stalking them. What do you like to photograph?

January 10, 2018 at 7:21 pm #59757@mnvalentine š That’s interesting
It does all make sense, because I have read some urban fantasy. It’s more…breezy, and simple, in language, I think. Not like some high fantasy, which delves deep into rich language and carefully described scenery. Maybe I’ll try urban sometime š
š Well, I have a few. But the one I’m mostly working on right now is a story story about dragon hunters, who sell rare materials from dragon bodies. It’s also an alternate-dimension origin story for Stan

Also, Daeus has 22 turtles in his signature.January 10, 2018 at 8:19 pm #59764@sam-kowal That is true about the different styles. I’m just not entirely sure why. I guess it just fits the setting better.
Your story sounds interesting š Poor Stan…

January 10, 2018 at 8:52 pm #59769@mnvalentineĀ You like Les Mis? AWESOME! I like it, too! Although I’m only halfway through the book so far. I’m really enjoying it š
@emma-flournoy, I found another Les Mis fan for you! ;-PYou can pronounce it however you want.
January 11, 2018 at 11:12 am #59815@dekreel It’s basically the best book ever written.
