Miley!! You’re back!!!
You just started a new series?? I want to hear about it! And I get the cringy old stuff thing. It’s weird to see posts that you wrote, like, two years ago still on here. 😬
What’s new with you?

December 28, 2024 at 11:38 am #193056Hello! I’m Ellette!
I think I’ve seen a few of your things while stocking KP before I became a member.
I guess I’ll introduce myself.
I’m a homeschool Senior. I’m reformed Baptist/Covenantor
I’m the oldest in my family.
I write Novels and Short stories, (I do some songs and poems, but they are generally for my story) I write fiction in a wide range of time periods, from Medieval to futuristic/dystopian. I write because I love it, but also because I have found a sad lack of pure, Godly books that point readers toward Christ and toward something bigger then themselves and I want to change that.
I just published my second Novel, The Choices We Made. My Debut novel is Fateful Night and I released that this spring. I am closing in on the release date for my next book which will be the first in a saga.
I guess I’ll leave it at that. Hit me with some questions if you like! I should be around all morning.

I didn’t know you write poetry… that’s cool!! 😄
Ooo I want to hear about your new series too! What’s it about?
If you pluck them, they explode. Goro.

yeah *face palms* in the end I have to remind myself that no one thinks about me as much as me lol
what a comfort lol
and I’d love to tell yall about it though it’s a little complicated and would take a while but basically it’s a Christian dystopian
As for anything new, I’ve really been diving into theology and politics and just kind of finding my opinions on all of those and it’s truly taken up a lot of my time in a good way and I’ve grown closer to God through it
I’ve also been trying to get through the school year😬

Isaiah 43:1December 28, 2024 at 12:03 pm #193060Hey!!! I think I’ve also seen you around but it’s nice to get a introduction 💕
I’m the youngest in my family but I also only have one siblings so that’s not saying much lol
if you don’t mind me asking, what’s it like being the oldest? Like I see everywhere that being the oldest sister is like a ton of work and by the end you have mental health issues and then struggle for the rest of your life but I mean you published a book so clearly you’re proving them wrong
in fact most of the people I know who have published books are older sisters
huh never thought of that lol
*shrugs* sorry my mind is chaotic
also that’s such a cool reason to write, like I’ve only recently learned how not innocent the book market is now a days and it’s like really concerning so Im all for any Christian media
but I do think that some Christian books and films kind of miss the mark
like the bar is lower cause it’s Christian but in my opinion it should be higher
I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1December 28, 2024 at 12:10 pm #193061good to see you too!!!
life is going pretty amazing, it’s just been good you know?
what about you?
I don’t write it a ton but like every now and then
as for my books series I’ll say that it’s a Christian futuristic dystopian that covers a lot of ideas but the main one is
nothing, not even thousands of years and thousands of wars can shake God’s law or His promises
I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”

greetings!!and am I allowed to ask what your profile-picture is suppose to be?

Isaiah 43:1December 28, 2024 at 12:12 pm #193063Hey Smiley! You’re right, it has been a while since we’ve seen you. I hope you’re doing well and enjoying life <3
I think that’s one reason why I’m re introducing myself so I can kind of “start over” not that all those conversations and terrible writing didn’t matter but instead I think it grew me and I still have fond memories of them I just don’t really want to be remembered as that person
I get that. Honestly there are some things I still agree on with my younger self, and other things that I wish I had or hadn’t said. But that’s life, right? And if you realize your past mistakes, that means you’ve moved to a different place of maturity. ;]
Sure, it might feel hard to express that feeling when you’re still doing some of the same things you used to. I’m still working on the same projects (with some short stories and poetry done of course), and roleplaying is still my jam. But in real life, my relationships have developed and grown more nuanced, and I’m treating myself more gently, especially because of typical high-school senior stress and neurodivergent tendencies. It’s probably the same for you, in some ways, and I would encourage you to always tell yourself this is growth, even if it means some people will be confused over your changes.
Questionzzzz: What new stories, movies, or books have you gotten into lately? What did you do for Christmas? What are your opinions on the most recent Marvel movies?

December 28, 2024 at 12:13 pm #193064Well….. I’m also an author, and there are only two kinds of authors: “those who are insane, and those who are good at hiding it”
Soooo….. I may have proved them right. XD
Honestly, being the oldest can be tough! I always, always wanted an older brother. I pick older brothers out of books to be my fictional older brothers and sometimes I talk to them about things I’m struggling with. lolololol. Philip Baker is my curent older brother right now. XD
But being the oldest does come with it’s privileges. First to drive, first to vote, first to get told they no longer have to have a bedtime just as long as I am wise about my sleep. etc.
So there’s good and bad. *shrug*
but I do think that some Christian books and films kind of miss the mark
like the bar is lower cause it’s Christian but in my opinion it should be higher

Yesss this is simultaneously the best and worst thing ever, because I love having the privilege but I’m such a night owl. XD You strike me as a morning person, but maybe I’m wrong.

December 28, 2024 at 12:18 pm #193066Hello, welcome back to KP!! I’m TheShadow, or Shadow for short, and it’s nice to meet you!
I mainly write poems and books. My current WIP is an action/adventure type story, though also kind of like a mystery (it’s a little all over the place in genre since it also has some magical elements lol).
How’s your WIP going? It sounds intriguing.
