The romance doesn’t have to be an overt story plot either; it can just be a quiet subplot that filters in though the story itself (if that made any sense).

INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.

@hope- I’m sorry it took me so long to reply. Yes, that makes perfect sense. I will write accordingly. Can you give me an example of a book in which the author does that?

Actually…umm (*blushes and averts eyes*) I was thinking of one of my own books in which I’ve done this (how well I’ve done it is for others to judge, but I think it came off pretty well). It is hard to find a book that has romance but where it’s not a super big part of the story…my mind is blank right now, but I’ll tell you if I think of any.

A tale of two cities. When looking for a good example for anything, you can always start there.

If you’re talking about Cyth and Analissa, @Hope, I’d definitely say you did a good job with that.

@kate-flournoy I’m gad you think so. Though I was actually thinking about another…couple. 😉

                    Oh.

Dare I ask if I am familiar with this… this other couple? 😉

@hope- Then I will look forward to reading them when you publish them. You are a terrific writer.
I can’t think of any examples either, in modern fiction anyway. *thinks* Actually, the Viking Quest series did that! How could I forget? Did you read Viking Quest?

@daeus- That is a great book, isn’t it? Maybe I should read it again. I had forgotten that there even was romance in “A Tale Of Two Cities.”
