Absolutely! I just have to be careful sometimes or I end up with characters that are fictionalized versions of myself. That’s why most of my main to main-ish characters are male, the female ones almost always end up being a carbon copy of myself. XD
Lol yes! I don’t have any carbon copy charries because most of my charries have both something I would want in a friend and something I have.
I don’t think I have. I’ll have to listen to it now. What’s fk&c? (I’m not great with remembering band names, I remembered the ones I listed earlier because I was listening to them this week.)
Fk&c is for king and country! I’ve also seen 4k&c. 🙂

January 8, 2023 at 1:16 pm #128367Ev… Ev confuses me. I think this is because (this is out of what I’ve read, I haven’t read all your chapters, I think I’ve only read to chapter five or six so far) he doesn’t use self-control, and this may be because of the role-models that he has (his parents). Any character/person in real life I really struggle to respect and enjoy their company if they do not demonstrate any self control. (This does not mean I think Ev is a terrible character. Please don’t take it like that.)
Ok! I totally get what you’re saying. The lack of self-control he has is partially bc of his parents, but mostly because of his personality. XD I feel like if he had better parents, he would still be impulsive, but maybe with more self-control. It’s really interesting to hear different opinions about my characters. It’s super helpful! No offense taken. 🙂 (Although Ev would probably take a little offense and try to justify his actions but… he can get over it. XD)
3. We went to Colorado. I like mountains and forests a lot, and it’s really quiet. Not to mention the sunsets are really pretty with few clouds to block it.
4. I’m assuming this is if I couldn’t live in the country that I currently live in. I’d probably pick Israel. It would be really cool to see where events in the Bible take place, not to mention the climate is similar to where I live, and meditterean food is great. =)
We went to Colorado as well!! We all loved it! It’s so pretty! Like, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods is just breathtaking!
Israel would be awesome to visit! And yes, seeing the different places where Bible events took place would be really neat! I feel like it would make it more real. Speaking of the Bible, have you seen The Chosen?

January 8, 2023 at 3:27 pm #128401Hi!
XDXD girl, I’ve stalked this forum since March, (A little before my birthday), and I just now was old enough to join XD.
I think everyone does it.Cool. Nice to know I’m not the only one. XD
I don’t like horror and scary suspenseful stories either. They’re too creepy :(I). But, it depends on the book if it’s romance. 😉
Ah. It’s not that I’m entirely against romance in general, I just don’t like characters that are obsessing over the other gender and slobbering over them. It’s kinda gross. XD
XDXDXD That’s hilarious. Love it!!
=) Thanks!
Oh, I would totally love to hear about it!! 😀
Cool, I’ll make a topic on it later when I have time to ramble. XD
Oh yes, they have got some amazingly precious characters!! Haha, you probably haven’t seen mine around much, but thank you anyway! 🙂
Oh, I read your scene with Asher and Iris and thoroughly enjoyed them. =)
Yeah, we authors love putting our poor charries through it XDXD. That’s a really good idea!!
XD Characters don’t stand a chance against their authors. I made it a topic, don’t know if it’s made it past the moderators yet.
Btw, I love your tag!! Lol, my dad does stuff like that all the time. Speaking of Lotr, your fourth question will be…
Thanks! It’s a reminder to myself that seeking the Lord does matter and you will find Him if you seek for Him.
1. Personality: Probably Teilo, he’s about as awkward as I am in person, we’re both anxious (for different reasons) and struggle to completely trust others. (although online I do trust people more which is weird…)
Appearance: I try to purposely make characters not resemble me in appearance because my siblings would tease me mercilessly. XD
Other: Teilo, Derek, and Evander all tie for the bad habits that I have or had.
2. Hmmm
I’ve never thought about this, this hard. Especially since most of the people I know of are dead…
Pass? Is that allowed?
3. The story isn’t entirely finalized in my head yet, so I’m not entirely sure, but things like: Life is a gift, use it wisely. Redemption is part of it too… HMMMMM I’lll have to think about this more. (I’ve just started working on character arcs and haven’t finished them yet to it’s hard to identify the theme without them)
4. Samwise Gamgee, no contest. Although I do like Aragorn. He’s probably second.
5. Probably human, because I already know what challenges come from that. Although, maybe hobbit, it’d be easier to be quiet.
ooh yea that would be a great forum topic to make!!
I made it a topic, don’t know if it’s made it past the moderators yet.
Lol yes! I don’t have any carbon copy charries because most of my charries have both something I would want in a friend and something I have.
Nice! I do that with my characters too, I just sometimes struggle to give them different points of view from each other and myself.
Fk&c is for king and country! I’ve also seen 4k&c. 🙂
Oh, okay! Sorry, my shorthand knowledge is pretty limited, so if the definition of it isn’t on Urban Dictionary than I’m completely lost. XD
You asked about my favorite song from them, right? Hmmm I think “I Wanna Go Back” (I think this is the song’s title) is by them, I really like that one.
Ok! I totally get what you’re saying. The lack of self-control he has is partially bc of his parents, but mostly because of his personality. Oh good. XD I bet he would take offense. Same, it’s always interesting to see how other people perceive things.

Yeah! We went to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods too.

I’ve seen all of it except for the newest season.

(Part of) Isaiah 45:19January 8, 2023 at 3:31 pm #128405I couldn’t find it! No turning back was the closest title I could find. I think my favorite’s are “to the dreamers” and “Long live” oh also “without you” ok I could name many more XD
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
January 8, 2023 at 3:34 pm #128408Whoops! It’s by David Dunn, apparently.
I know ‘Burn the Ships’ is by For King & Country though (right?), and I like that one.

(Part of) Isaiah 45:19January 8, 2023 at 3:37 pm #128410Oh I love that one! And the music video is really cool too.

January 8, 2023 at 3:39 pm #128411I’ll have to look up the music video. (I heard it on the radio)

Welcome welcome @gwyndalf-the-wise
I’m @booksandbeakers, Caitlyn (you can find me on CWW), and I’m excited to meet (meet? talk to? I guess?) you!!
I think we probably have lots of people on here with minor disabilities but that doesn’t stop them from glorifying God in everything! I love short stories (if you want to read one I posted, I can tag you) and am at a novel called tentatively A Girl Named Buttercup, that’s at 12K.
A few questions:
1. Favorite food?
2. Favorite books?
3. Science or math?
Hope to see you around, maybe on CWW!

And yes, our poor charries are so hurt, aren’t they? XD Why are we writers so cruel!?!?!?!? xD
Anywho…I am FreedomWriter76, a Christian homeschooled teen girl, Writer, Aspiring Artist, History Buff, Music Fan, and total Marvel Nerd that also has a passion for spreading the light of Christ through Historical Fiction! 🙂
I don’t really have any random questions…my brain seems pretty fried right now…probably from Algebra earlier today…XD…but I’d love to hear more about your WIP! (if someone else already asked, I sincerely apologize…I was busy all weekend and only now got here to say hello! I wish I could have done so sooner!)

SAME. XD

You’re so welcome! I love reading about WWII (I’ve mostly read biographies, but I’ve read a couple historical fiction books). And I’m actually able to read yours, as it has a hopeful worldview.
And yes, our poor charries are so hurt, aren’t they? XD Why are we writers so cruel!?!?!?!? xD
XD Because, sometimes they won’t learn without it!

I’m homeschooled as well. AGH I LOVED MARVEL UNTIL THEY RUINED IT. Captain America & Bucky are my favorites… unless we’re talking about all Marvel films, in which case the first Spider-man is my favorite. And YAY for more good historical fiction!

XD don’t worry about it. I’m gonna say a bit about one of my characters (I don’t have the brain cells tonight to do more than one) on the Resource for Mental Illness/Disorder/Disability topic, but tomorrow I’ll probably make it’s own topic. And you’re fine, you got here, didn’t you? 😉
God Bless! <3
God bless you too! <3
