May 16, 2020 at 6:14 pm #81558@selah-chelyah Yeah. You know, I think we pretty much took up this whole post. Somebody was introducing themselves?
May 16, 2020 at 6:15 pm #81561@leon-fleming
Oops, you’re right. That’s really rude.
Sorry about that! *humble bow*

Presenting! Her Majesty! The Queen Linyang of Zhang!

XD I was just about to say that you guys singlehandedly added another page to this thread and- SINCE when did you both become LOYAL SIDEKICKS I can’t even skskskskksks—-
ANyways. Don’t worry about it, last time I checked my last introductory post had, for some reason, way more posts in it. (I wouldn’t…look at it, though…I was a lot younger and cringier back then lol and I want to preserve my current dignity).
Ahaha I’m still a lower rank so shouldn’t it be I bowing to you two? XD
Yeah, I’m about an hour south of Boston, and you should totally go with the reason of “researching” XD. There’s a reason why I want to go out west and stand in the middle of a field in Kansas where there’s no trees.
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysMay 16, 2020 at 7:28 pm #81630XD It should be obvious how we ended up with higher rank, seeing as you noticed the additional page on what was once your nice intro topic. Sorry about that! 😀
Lol! I can get that. I wouldn’t want to find my old intro post on SE, either. *cringes*
Hey, you doubt my motives for research? Lol. You want to go to KS? I lived there for a while and both my parents grew up there and my grandparents live there and…well, anyways, I wouldn’t want to go there. XD It’s flat and dry and boring, in my personal opinion. But that still make sense, I guess. Do you have a book set there? It seems to be a popular place to set “Christian” romance books, which could be a subconscious reason I don’t like it even more. 😛

May 16, 2020 at 7:28 pm #81631@devastate-lasting @selah-chelyah HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! The Bumbling Henchidiots strike again!
Okay, I’ll take your word for it. XD
Oh, well *polishes knuckles for the second time*, I mean if you REALLY want to, I wouldn’t be offended, of course… XD
I like Kansas. That’s where the 100 Cupboards series is situated (mainly and for an important part). *sniff* I miss it already.

XDÂ *coughs*Â I really like Idaho, personally. Gimme the mountains and the trees, and all that…

May 16, 2020 at 7:35 pm #81640@selah-chelyah Not set there per se. There are scenes where there’s grass, and also I kind of want to see a place where there’s no trees. Last time I went out near Nevada and Arizona and it was really refreshing.
On that note, I find for settings I usually can only write what I’ve seen. Like, for any city/street scene it’s probably an extremely Asian environment, because the only experience I have for walking around outside in cities is in China, (pretty pathetic, in my opinion. I guess that makes me a shut-in XD). Yeah, I’ve only walked in Boston once, and it wasn’t even the main part of the city. Just MIT.
@leon-fleming I read the first book in that series a long, long time ago. I thought it had an interesting premise. I liked the style.
Also, I saw that you like Wendy Mass? I really like her books too, though it’s been too long since I’ve read them. Which one is your favorite?

If hours don't turn into daysMay 16, 2020 at 7:39 pm #81646Huh, that’s cool. That’s really interesting that you write about what you see. Seems like it’d give you a really unique perspective for writing, which is awesome.

May 16, 2020 at 7:41 pm #81649@selah-chelyah I would personally prefer to live on the sands of the great Pacific coast. But I like Idaho, too, because I’ll be moving there towards the end of the year.
@devastate-lasting It’s honestly one of my favorite series. There are three to that series, then there’s the Ashtown Burials and The Door Before. The style really is the thing that holds the books together. I mean, Wilson’s ideas are pretty crazy, but he makes it work REALLY WELL. Oh, yeah Wendy Mass! I just finished for the second time The Candymakers series. (there should be a third, fourth, fifth, and more…) I don’t know, since I’ve currently only read The Candymakers (both), but I want to read some of her other ones, particularly Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. My favorite would probably be…ooo, I don’t know. How about both The Candymakers? After all, it is basically one continuing story. How about you?
May 16, 2020 at 7:42 pm #81651@selah-chelyah Idaho was lit as well. Barely scraped it, but it was a nice place.
I see you’re from there 0.o
Which brings me to the question, how often do you travel?

Beach, eh? Yeah, maybe, if hurricanes and earthquakes didn’t exist. XD

May 16, 2020 at 7:43 pm #81655@leon-fleming I really like Candymakers as well. I think I liked the first one a bit more. The character development for everyone was absolutely PHENOMENAL. Also, all that talk of candy was really mouth-watering XD
