Don’t worry, I was talking about the rest of… them. *waves hand vaguely in the other direction*
I know it says “fellow mortals”, but really, that’s a cover story…

ekseaver.wordpress.comJanuary 27, 2021 at 12:46 pm #90588Hey! Awesome to have you! You’re a little weird and love to write? I think you’ll fit right in. XD That describes us at KP pretty accurately.
What made you decide to make your The Traveler’s Caravan seven books? Did you decide before you wrote it or did just keep writing book after book until you felt the story was finished?
I just watched ATLA for the first time a few months ago, and it’s hands down the best kid’s show I’ve ever watched. XD Do you have a favorite character from the series?
January 27, 2021 at 2:39 pm #90598Hey, weirdo writers are the best.
Well, I first started out my series with one book. Then one turned into three, and I kept having new ideas about supplemental history books and prequels and offshoot series books and now it’s kind of turned into its own thing. XD
Yeah, I think ATLA is really good! My favourite characters are Sokka and Toph.

i'll make the winter now my homeJanuary 30, 2021 at 2:03 am #91024Hi, @scripter-of-kingdoms! (cool username btw). It’s great to “meet” you! My family and I actually own 7 ducks!! Sugar, Quackimoto, Goldwyn, Gertrude (Used to be Mr. Quackles but then I found out ‘he’ was a ‘she’ XD), Sugar Joy (Sugar’s daughter), and two whose names are still being debated. For now, they are “Thing one” and “Thing two”.
Your writing is better than a lot of grown-ups I’ve seen, just from reading your post! I have no doubt that you’re a terrific writer. I started my first “real” book when I was twelve!
I also love to read, and draw!! And occasionally paint, although I usually find that a bit more tedious.
Last thing: YOU PLANNED OUT 7 BOOKS IN A SERIES?? GOOD JOB. I didn’t learn the art of planning until I was like 14 or something, so for you to already have 7 books planned??? You GO girl!!

January 30, 2021 at 10:59 am #91033That’s so cool! I love ducks!! π What breed are they? Egg-laying, just pets? (XD don’t mind me, I am kind of obsessed with ducks!)
Also, thank you so much!! I wrote my first “story” when I was in grade one, about a “toothless granny” that grew some teeth. XD It was pretty weird…
That’s amazing!! Drawing is one of my favourite things to do. I do also do some painting, but not as much (because often I can’t finish it all in one sitting and then get bored, and then go do something else. XD)
Thank you (again)! The books kind of just unfolded.. I started with one, and then three (since I have 3 MC’s). And then I was like, “Hey! Why not do a prequel to book one?” So that became a fourth. And then there were two historical ones, which were an add-on to the second book (which switches between past and present views). And the most recent is one that has anΒ entirelyΒ different character on a mission that takes place four years before the first book, but late in the story she meets the characters of the first book (because this story spans 4+ years).
So, yeah, I kind of have an entire timeline and world inside my head. XD
Thanks! I hope to publish all of these (whilst still not even done book one)!

i'll make the winter now my homeJanuary 31, 2021 at 12:38 pm #91107@scripter-of-kingdoms Hi, Grace!!!!!!! I just now saw this. I’m pretty new to the Kingdom too. I joined last week. Welcome to KP!!!!!!!!
That is so cool that you like to draw!!! I like drawing too, though I’m not very good at it. I mostly draw mermaids and sometimes I draw fairies. I’m currently reading The Princess Companion by Melanie Cellier. What is your favorite genre to read in?
Oooh, that is amazing that you’re going to start duck raising!!! Ducks are so cute!

Fall in love with JesusJanuary 31, 2021 at 1:05 pm #91109Hi! π That’s cool that you’re also new, newbies unite haha!
Thanks! I like drawing fairies, too. One of my MC’s advisors is a fairy!
That sounds like a cool book! I’ve never heard about that one before! I enjoy reading fantasy and realistic fiction, as well as mystery. I like pretty much anything but horror. XD
Thanks! There are, from today, 8 days until our little feathered friends hatch! <3 I’m looking forward to it!

i'll make the winter now my homeFebruary 1, 2021 at 11:11 am #91210(Hey, no worries XD Same here.) They are egg-laying! (But not gonna lie, they’re kind of also pets….) We have one Jumbo Peking, three Anconnas, and the rest are Silver Apple-Yard ducks! One was born hunchbacked, so we named him Quackimoto. A rooster of ours got attacked by a wild cat some time back, and was in our diy rehab for a while XD He got depressed being all by himself though, so I put him in with our freshly-hatched ducks, which included Quackimoto at the time. I made up this story (which I now want to turn into a kid’s book XD) about how the rooster was the king of the coop and looked down on the ducks because they were different, until he was forced to stay with them, and Quackimoto, knowing what it feels like to be different and thus excluded for the difference, worked hard to help him feel better, so our rooster ended up becoming their bodyguard/friend when he was better and the ducks were old enough to go into the coop with the adult chickens/ducks. True story XD it was a very odd friendship, and he afterwards began to hang out with the ducks more than the chickens!
Haha!! Well, at least it was creative XD My first story was a dystopia about an older couple trying to escape New York City, which was being bombed. They ended up befriending a group of old people and escaping the city together XD I actually want to try rewriting it as a comedy though…
Okay but literally same XD I have a painting I started a few months ago that I stilll have not finished.
Oh woowww! That sounds so detailed!! The world sounds really well developed!! (or, since you’re on the first book still, it sounds like it WILL be developed well XD)
I hope you do too!! If you do, I’ll buy a copy! (if I know it’s published haha.)

February 1, 2021 at 2:54 pm #91263That’s so cool! The ducks that we’re going to have are Anconas, actually! I love them. I also really like Cayugas, they’re so pretty. <3 I love the story about the rooster! Definitely make it a book! XD
Oooh, that sounds like a really moving topic to write about. I’d like to see what that might turn into in the future, if you’re willing to share! <3
Oh, and I started a painting in November that’s literally sitting in my bedroom calling out to me as I draw furiously and ignore its existence.
Thanks! Actually, three of the books are in progress XD but the first one is closest to done (which means not even halfway through).
Thanks, that means a lot to me! <333 I’ll let you know when I get published! π

Oooh, that is so cool that your MC’s advisor is a fairy!!!!!! My MC is a fairy.
Yes, The Princess Companion has been really great so far! It’s a retelling of the princess and the pea. Awesome!!! I love reading those too!!!!!! And I also enjoy reading historical fiction.
Ooh, that is so exciting!!!!!!<3 π

Fall in love with JesusFebruary 3, 2021 at 12:54 pm #91404Oh that’s awesome!! Me too XD Cayugas are amazingg. I suggest the names Domino, Patches, or Inkwell for any Anconas you don’t know what to name XD These were names my siblings turned down that I loved.
Haha thanks!! And sure! If I ever do, I’ll make sure and let you know!
Looolll relatable though. I have like two different unfinished paintings in my room and then one in my closet that need to be either disposed of, redone, or finished. And one is a delayed Christmas present so it needs to get done soon XD
Oh woww, that’s awesome though!! At least you’re getting somewhere. It never matters how much you’ve written as long as you keep writing and moving forward!
Absolutely! And thanks!!

February 4, 2021 at 10:36 am #91417Ooooh, thanks for the name suggestions! I have a few planned out so far:
Ashna (after a very good friend of mine <3), Vincent (BECAUSE IT’S SUCH A CUTE NAME SOMEHOW?!), Enmerelde (she’s an anthropomorphic bird character of mine lol), Marnie (also very cute name) and Jeffery-effery, after the gosling from Charlotte’s Web, of course!! π
Hah, painting in my bedroom, you will never see the dawning light of completion. NEVER.

littlequite weird by the way…)Thanks! I have like 19038746536297108982675372697 side short stories on the go at the moment, too, for comps and linkups and everything and it’s getting *a bit intense* but WE ARE WRITERS!!! WE MUST OVERCOME ANY CHALLENGES IN OUR WAY!!!

Oooh, Ashna is such a pretty name!! And I love Vincent, too (although it makes me think of the artist, so I don’t exactly get “cute” vibes from it XD) Oooohh I LOVE Enmerelde!! That’s such a cool, exotic name!!! And yuuusss I loved that movie so much. That movie was my entire childhood XD (Well, that and Veggietales…)
Loooll mooodd XDD
I think every person on this site is a tad weird tbh, since we are writers and prefer characters in our head to real people… but you didn’t hear that from meeee….Dude literally sameee. And YESS PREACHH SISTAA XDD ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
