Uh, so I’m kinda late (*facepalm*), but welcome to the KP forum! I’m Lydia. 😀
Ah yes, fantasy fiction! A wonderful genre! My main WIP is fantasy, actually.
Here are some questions, if you feel like answering them:
1) What is your favorite type of mythical animal?
2) Who is your favorite book character ever?
3) Who is your favorite Pevensie? (Fellow Narnia fan here 😉)
Once again, welcome! It’s great to meet you, Morgan! 😀
May 30, 2021 at 2:32 pm #100244Hi! Nice to meet you too!
1) Probably a centaur or dragon
2) Ooh… That is really hard! I’ll just go with Tucker mouse from The Cricket of Times Square series by George Selden.
3) Probably Peter? It is very hard to decide…

You know, I was just thinking about how hard it would be to write a Biblical or historical fiction since you have to do so much research. I think that I’d be afraid to write in those genres for fear of messing up history. ;P That’s why I like fantasy because you can make up whatever you want without worrying about historical facts. 😛 I enjoy reading most genres though. Nice to meet you too!

May 30, 2021 at 2:41 pm #100247@nanisnook Nice to meet you! I don’t have any real “pets” but I live on a farm so we have cows, chickens, a dog, and a cat which technically could be classified as pets. Do you?

Lol yes, it can get tough sometimes. But research is also interesting and enlightening. It’s fun to mix it up by watching documentaries or interviews instead of only reading books or articles. That’s definitely an upside to fantasy, though!
May 30, 2021 at 4:41 pm #1002551) Those are lovely choices! I love them both. Centaurs are the best (Inner Narnia fan kicks on😉)
2) Oh my goodness, it’s been a long time since I’ve thought about that character! He’s a ton of fun.
3) Yes, Peter is awesome! I have trouble choosing between the four myself, especially if we’re talking about the movie characters. They all have something I can connect with, so it’s nearly a nearly impossible decision.
May 30, 2021 at 7:58 pm #100259@morgan Ooh, living on a farm sounds like so much fun! We have one cat inside, two or three that we feed outside, and sometimes we foster kittens.

May 30, 2021 at 8:46 pm #100266Those sound like really interesting books! But I only think I’ve heard of Pride and Prejudice and The Chronicles of Narnia. About Pride and Prejudice, I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions about it. Some people I know love it and some people I know hate it. Why do you like it? Just curious, I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile now and I love hearing people opinions about books
I started writing because I love books and figured that there is a lack of good fiction, so why couldn’t I try to write a decent book?
You’d think there would be more good books right? That too is also part of the reason why I write today, and a HUGE part in why my sister and I run this website. XD
I sometimes wonder if there are actually a ton of great books in the world but they have not been published or are written in a language I don’t understand, so I’m just unaware of them.
May 31, 2021 at 11:02 am #100290@kathleenramm I think there are a few reasons I like Pride and Prejudice. Although I do not generally like romance novels, I enjoyed the complicated plot and the characters, especially the Bennett siblings and Mr. Darcy. Also, I committed a horrible crime and *gasp* watched the movie first. I had never watched a movie before a book before, and I was surprised that it actually made me enjoy the book more because I was looking for discrepancies between the book and the movie. While I enjoyed it, I don’t think it would have made my favorite book list unless I had recently read it (somehow, books that I read recently always make it onto my list since they are the ones I remember the best).

June 9, 2021 at 12:55 pm #100618Hi Morgan! I’m pretty late in welcoming you to Kingdom Pen, but anywho, Welcome!! That’s awesome that you write fiction/fantasy, (I adore those genres:D ). Your plotline for your story looks absolutely epic and *high fives* Narnia fans unite! XD Adventurous and epic music is definitely incredible, (a.k.a the Narnia soundtracks:)
You like to do photography too? *double high five* what’s your favorite category? Landscapes? Action shots? Still life? Oh and my traditional questions XD What is your favorite setting to write in? Favorite character type?
It’s awesome to meet you and amazing to have you here at KP! 😀June 9, 2021 at 1:37 pm #100627@abigail-m Thanks! Better late than never they say. 😛 Yup! The Narnia soundtracks are amazing! I’m very much an amateur, but I do it for fun anyway, so it doesn’t matter. My favorite category is animals/nature (if that’s even a category). My chickens in particular are fun to photograph. My favorite setting is probably the medieval-but-not-really-medieval. I don’t really have a favorite character type. Nice to meet you too!

June 9, 2021 at 1:48 pm #100630That’s true:)
Oh yes, I definitely! Animals and nature are my favorites too, (I mean, I do enjoy abstract and planned scenes, but animals are at the top of the list!) Aww, you have chickens? That’s awesome! That’s one of them in your Profile Portrait, right? I agree, they are amazing to photograph:)June 10, 2021 at 1:55 pm #100674@abigail-m Yup! That was my hen Tomalu.
