Hi guys! I am new to Kingdom Pen and am excited to be here. I prefer prose over poetry and, more specifically, fiction of almost any type with fantasy fiction probably being my favorite. I don’t really have much else to say, so goodbye for now. 😉

May 28, 2021 at 7:06 pm #100193@morgan Hello! I’m Chelsea, one of the interns at KP, and we’re so happy to see you! If you don’t mind me asking, whereabouts are you from? (be as vague as you like!) I’m from somewhere in outback Australia. And do you have any favourite books or authors?

May 28, 2021 at 7:26 pm #100195Hi! Welcome to Kingdom Pen! I’m Jodi, another writing intern here at KP. I like writing fantasy fiction, historical fiction, and dystopian fiction when I’m not working on school and articles 🙂
Here are some welcome questions for you:
1. What are your top three favorite books right now?
2. How did you become a fan of the fantasy genre? For me, it was watching The Lord of the Rings movies when I was much younger, as well as reading tons of fantasy books (and playing big, worldbuild-y fantasy video games haha)
Anyway, I’m so glad to meet you! Welcome again to Kingdom Pen!
May 28, 2021 at 9:30 pm #100202Hi! Awesome to have you here in the Kingdom!
Fantasy is great! I pretty much love any genre, as long as the characters good.
Do you have any favorite books?
And when did you start writing, and what made you start?
I’ve been writing on and off since I was seven. I started partially because I was inspired by all the novels and stories my older siblings wrote, and partially because I was upset that my closet, (despite being large and deep) didn’t take me to Narnia. So I did the second best option and created a Narnia of my own through writing.
And last question: Are you more of a, Sea adventurer, Sky sailor, or galaxy explorer?
Again, great to have you! See ya around!
May 29, 2021 at 8:49 am #100205@morgan Hi and welcome to the Kingdom of Pen! We’re so glad to have you here!
Fantasy is awesome. I write quite a bit myself. Do you have a story that you’re currently on?
Any movies or music that you particularly enjoy?
What other hobbies do you have besides writing?
And finally, do you think pineapples belong on pizza?
Lovely to have you here! Hope to see you around!

If hours don't turn into daysMay 29, 2021 at 1:48 pm #100209Hi! My state is one of the original thirteen colonies. I always have such a hard deciding what my favorite books and authors are since there are so many to choose from and my list is constantly changing, but I like The Horse and His Boy, Moccasin Trail, Iron Scouts of the Confederacy, Pride and Prejudice, and many, many others. My favorite authors are probably Jeri Massi, Elizabeth George Speare, C. S. Lewis, and George Selden.

May 29, 2021 at 1:53 pm #100210Hi! My current top three favorite books are probably Moccasin Trail, Pride and Prejudice, and The Bronze Bow. I have read a lot of fantasy which probably is why I like it the most. It’s so much easier for me to write as well and I’m sure that watching the Chronicles of Narnia also probably helped. 😉 Nice to meet you too!

May 29, 2021 at 2:05 pm #100211Hi! I always have a hard time choosing a favorite book or books, but currently, I like Moccasin Trail, Iron Scouts of the Confederacy, Pride and Prejudice, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Bronze Bow (not in that order). I’m not sure how old I was when I actually started writing. I have written short stories and stuff for fun (and school) since I was young, but I didn’t actually start a major project until last year. I started writing because I love books and figured that there is a lack of good fiction, so why couldn’t I try to write a decent book? I’m probably more of a sea adventurer.

May 29, 2021 at 2:13 pm #100212Hi! I’m currently about halfway through writing a fantasy novel. As for movies, I like the three Chronicles of Narnia ones and How to Train Your Dragon I, II, and III. I like pretty much any music that is epic (like movie themes) and doesn’t have words. Besides writing, I enjoy reading, photography, being outside, spending time with my family, and playing with Legos (you can never get to old…). If the pizza is ham, absolutely!

May 29, 2021 at 6:01 pm #100217@morgan Awesome! Do you have a synopsis that you’d like to share with us?
Ah, those movies are really good. And epic music is really great to write to!
Those are nice hobbies! I miss playing with Legos, haha…
Eyy, Hawaiian pizza for the win!

If hours don't turn into daysMay 29, 2021 at 6:44 pm #100218@devastate-lasting Oh boy. Not sure how to summarize my lengthy plot line. ;P The main gist of the book is that there are four siblings growing up in America who discover, after their only surviving parent dies, that their parents fled to America from a different world (and yes, they had a reasonable way to do this but it would take way too long to explain). Eventually, they go to this other world themselves and end up fighting against the evil monarch currently in charge of the kingdom as well as the corrupt neighboring kingdom who caused their parents to flee in the first place. An important part of my book is the Gifts which all royalty inherit (they are things like flying, invisibility, super strength, super speed,… you get the picture). The parents had them, but the Gifts did not transfer to America. The four kids realized that they also had Gifts once they went to the other world. Although I could say SO much more, that’s about it for a quick synopsis.

Hi, Morgan! I’m JC, and it’s great to have you join the Kingdom! I see I have been beaten to the questions, so I won’t be redundant.
I see you like Chronicles of Narnia. I love those, too! C.S. Lewis is a fantasy genius. I write Biblical, historical, and contemporary fiction, but fantasy and sci-fi are fun genres to read. I admire y’all’s ability to create an entire new world out of your own imaginations!
My two all-time favorite books are Les Misérables and To Kill a Mockingbird. Highly, highly recommend!
Again, it’s great to meet you!
May 30, 2021 at 7:00 am #100234Haha, I’m not an American so I have absolutely no idea what the original 13 states are lol 😛
Oh, those are some great books! C.S. Lewis is a particular favourite of mine 🙂
