@That_Writer_Girl_99 I bet. 😛 There are bunches of ’em in the literary world.
And the LotR MOVIES AREN’T boring. I’m ready to admit the books can be boring in places, but the movies really aren’t.July 15, 2017 at 9:53 am #37326Why do we keep taking over introductory topics? *goes away*
July 15, 2017 at 9:54 am #37327Oops, did I say that? Hm.
I’m no fan of LOTR. Growing up a Star Wars nerd may have impacted me in that department. @emma-flournoy

July 15, 2017 at 9:55 am #37328*chokes* Yes. Right. We can argue about why Star Wars is better later, Emma. @emma-flournoy

July 15, 2017 at 9:57 am #37329Yeah, I know your views on LotR. XD But I wasn’t sure if you’d seen the movies or just tried to read the books. Oh well. LotR and SW both have their strong and weak points. @That_Writer_Girl_99
July 15, 2017 at 9:59 am #37330Seen all but the last Hobbit movie. @emma-flournoy
You’re right, of course. I dislike LOTR but SW isn’t perfect… *shudders*

July 15, 2017 at 10:11 am #37338Oh dear.
Look at what I’ve started.
So basically, Iron Man is arrogant, and self-conceited, as Captain America points out multiple times, that he only cares about himself. @daeus You might say that in the movie he sacrifices himself to save everyone, but this character arc does not reflect in the other movies. He really only cares about himself, and he never changes. NEVER.
And he doesn’t side with Captain America, which hurts a lot.
@kate-flournoy Indeed. I know several characters like that, but still, Iron Man seems to lack awesomeness. He’s nothing more than a cliche, ordinary, Disney orphan character, if you’ve seen the one with his backstory. Captain American, at least, has a sense of honor.
In other words, Iron Man is like Batman. A badguy fighting badguys.☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀

July 15, 2017 at 10:14 am #37344@kate-flournoy Um…Even with the ‘anti’ in front of it, Iron Man still falls short of being a hero. He may be an avenger, but he is not hero. Protagonist, yes. Hero, never.
