March 25, 2025 at 12:53 pm #200694I’m going to do this one!
I love yours, the water lilies especially look great! When you use markers and ink do you ink first or after you put the marker down?
If I had ever learnt, I should have been a great proficient.

March 25, 2025 at 1:27 pm #200697Everywhere I’ve seen this challenge, black and white don’t count as part of your three colors. I assume the reason is that black, white and grey are neutral colors and this challenge is meant to help understand color theory and how colors interact with each other.
hmmmmm…now what should I draw…..?
A cat.
don’t know why, but that just popped into my head. I know you mostly do humans, but drawing kitties is fun

Depends. For the longest time, I didn’t have any usable fine liners so I used a black Sharpie gel pen. With that, I suggest doing line art after the marker, because the lines tend to smudge when you color over it.
If you have no smudge and no smear fine liners that actually work, you can do the line art before or after. With my lily pad drawing, I did it before I laid down the color. Sometimes I do it after. Honestly, I haven’t noticed much difference with the fine liners between before and after.
But I use an Ohuhu Marker pad (100% would recommend, never once had bleed through!). If you use a paper not rated for Mixed Media or markers, the marker ink has a tendency to bleed a little over where you want it. In this instance, I do line art after to clean it up and hide that little bit of bleed over.
Sorry, that was a little bit of a rant, but hopefully somewhat helpful 🙂
Thx everyone for the compliments. I don’t usually do something like scenes or botanicals, but I should try and draw kind of stuff a little more.
Can’t wait to see what everyone else drew! 🤩

March 25, 2025 at 6:19 pm #200706Alriiight. This is… snaky lady. Redhead Medusa? I really don’t know. She was fun to draw though. ;P
I really liked the red, olive green and peach combo, so I went with that, and I’m probably going to do it again with another idea I had.

March 25, 2025 at 6:28 pm #200708Oh and credit where credit is due, I used a photo of a normal person for the face because I’m horrible at drawing faces, lol. And photos of snakes.

#AnduthForever (hopefully💕)March 26, 2025 at 7:22 am #200717This was…quite difficult to say the least. I don’t think I’m quite happy with how it turned out. At all. But here is mine. My beloved Brayden—red, purple, cream (?). I wanted to do it all traditionally with markers and such, but the lineart I had turned out so beautiful that I didn’t want to ruin it by my lacking skills.
I’m painfully aware that the rose is kinda in the wrong angle… oh and hopefully stippling and blending aren’t illegal for this challenge. I should’ve tried what Whaley did with the green color on hers for shading—very smart. The darker spots on the rose are also stippled… the dots are just too small I guess… but honest, I didn’t cheat.
At least his hair turned out alright.
you're unique—just like everyone else.
i've got your nose.March 26, 2025 at 7:23 am #200718…totally not overthinking it. totally.

March 26, 2025 at 9:37 am #200723Thank you! I have a secret idea for using this color pallet again but it’ll take some practice. 😅
Hey that’s very stylized! To be fair, roses are difficult to draw at the right angle, and I think you did a great job.
*Gasp* How dare you
