@unsung lol thanks! We can be bumbling henchmen together. XD

YESSS!!!! I literally am so encouraged when I find other Christians who truly love Jesus!!!

LOLLL I have a serious skill at asking hard questions. XD DUDE, BUTTERFLIES??? THAT’S SO COOL!!!!!! I WANNA HEAR ALL ABOUT THEM!!!!! I love dragons and elves. Always the elves. (but only if they’re within Tolkien’s standards.)

LOL relatable. I’m similar. Although if the melody isn’t particularly exciting and the lyrics are good (I’m thinking of some really profound Christian music lol) then I’ll listen to it…

      You’re welcome! Thank youu!!!

I was one way, and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him.

        @delani-christianson, absolutely!

That is honestly so good to hear. Lately I’ve been struggling and wondering if I’m transparent enough for Light to show through…

XD that’s okay, I love questions! and will answer any and all to the best I can.

One thing that has come to my mind… XD in all technical respects, I am not a dude! (I don’t mind if you reference me as that, though! dude/guy/man… any general term like that, as long as it’s meant to be general 😉 I’m a girl!

Yes, butterflies! I made up one butterfly awhile ago (please excuse me as I have forgotten the name; it was of a foreign language.) but it had the ability to glow, and would change colour depending on its… ‘mood’ (if animals can be said to have moods). It could get a strong attachment to a certain person or animal, especially if that person/animal saved its life. They live for about three years, with a wingspan of 8-12 inches. (They are most commonly blue, however, since blue is their neutral colour)

I’m in the process of creating a butterfly called the Leilande (lee-lend) butterfly (I’m also in the process of writing a giant lore book, creating an entire fantasy world along with history and lore on all the races, biomes, animals, world layout [maps etc.], and possibly everything I can think of! That’s why the Leilande butterfly isn’t finished yet; it will be created along with the world, I just have to be patient…) ANYWAY… This butterfly is going to come in all colours too, only it cannot change colours. It has… ‘veins’ if you will in it’s wings, which are gold-coloured (on all the butterflies). But I think in this kind of butterfly, I’ll have a common ‘colour’ as nothing! just transparent butterfly wings with gold veins. I’m not sure yet if the gold will be glowing/can glow at their will. I’ll have to work that out. their size will be about as big as a Blue Morpho butterfly, varying up to 8-9ish inches. The Leilande butterfly is actually a tribute to one of my friends.

lol Tolkien elves are the best

        yeah, same here.

Wow! I did not mean this to turn into a book in of itself! But I hope you at least enjoy reading it!

Ah, no, now I remember the English translation for the first butterfly name @denali-christianson! It was the Flaming Ice Butterfly; however, I remember neither the actual name, nor the language it was in lol

            @unsung

You are!!! I mean, at least from the short time since I’ve met you, your passion for Jesus is so clear to see and it’s inspiring!!!

            Lol SAME.

I figured!!! I’m sorry, I call EVERYONE dude and bro and I mean nothing by it I promise. I’m a girl too! 😉

Of course animals can have moods. At least… fantasy animals can. DEFINITELY. XD

FLAMING ICE BUTTERFLY??? THAT IS EPICALLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude you have to put that in a book!!!!

Also… YES. Same. I have… *fails at math* five fantasy worlds floating around in my brain, but I’m currently writing a series on the first one and TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE WORLD-BUILDING IS INTENSE lol I have an obsession with languages so I’m creating like… three of them… and then I’ll do it again when I get to the next world… which could be awhile… *regrets life decisions*

And the Leilande butterfly? SO COOL. YOU HAVE TO TELL ME HOW IT GOES!!!!!! I wanna hear all about the finished product!!!

            Agreed.

I DID!!! Trust me, long posts are one of my favorite things. 🙂 (and I write them too so…)

              @denali-christianson

              Well, thank you!

And I really don’t mind if you do! XD I have had instances in the past, however, that people have thought I was the other, and it cost them quite a bit of embarrassment lol I don’t want that happening again.

Lol thank you! Yes! World building is super intense!

I’ll let you know how it goes, for sure! And yes, I suppose fantasy animals can have moods! Fantasy is just a whole bunch of exceptions to reality put together, so why not?

Well, I’m glad you like long posts, because I do tend to be rather long-winded!

Also just wanted to say that I also am awful at math lol I used to like it, but that was when I was under the impression that it was simple XD

Oh! And, also, I may end up putting the Flaming Ice butterfly in my fantasy world. I have a race of beings whose sole purpose is to care for the butterflies. They’ve created an underground, butterfly utopia. I have so many different races, some dystopian, and some utopian! Anyway, enough of that, before I say too much!

And I really love your quote too 🙂 (I’m still figuring out how to get mine lol)

                You’re welcome!!!

Lol I didn’t think y9u did, but just wanted to make sure. 🙂 Haha yeah that happened to me once… it was sad. XD

It IS!!! Perks of being an OCD perfectionist fantasy author…

Literally! That’s what I always say right before I my character randomly defy the laws of gravity. XD

                Ha SAME relatable

THAT’S ME TOO!!!!! I never really liked it, but I used to be good at it. Before it got, you know, real…

THAT’S SO COOOOLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have one very dystopian race, one slightly less dystopian race, and two something-in-between-dystopian-and-utopian-so-normal-I-guess races. XD And not one of them comes close to being as cool as a BUTTEFLY CULTIVATING UNDERGROUND SOCIETY!!!! Although I do have underground society that has wings… so there’s that… XD

Awww thanks! I had a much more aggressive one and then I remembered this one and I was like that’s the one. XD I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHICH ONE YOU CHOOSE!!!

I was one way, and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him.

Lol, right now, I have ideas for about 20 races, and then there will be many more, I’m sure. But actually one of my friends gave me the idea of the butterfly culture. it’s a derivative of a different race I’ve made.

I’m going to have an underground race (the obscurite, or Darklings)  that cannot see colour, and if someone is able to see colour, it’s seen as a defect and/or disorder. They can also smell light… but I haven’t developed them beyond that. I wrote down their name, but haven’t gotten to their race yet (I’m just going down the line since I don’t want any to be missed)

Lol I figured out the quote! 🙂

(sorry I took a bit to reply XD)

                    Amen!

Really? It was one of the first things that popped into my head XD. It’s such an interesting name; I got a feeling it had a deep meaning. And I love both meanings behind it!! You put so much thought in it <3

Cool!! I’d love to see some of your poetry sometime!!

AMEN, sister, He can truly use anything!

Ooh, that does sound good!!! Candy of any kind sounds good 😉 (I say as I eat a lollipop… I have a sugar thing XD). But, yeah, caramel is always a good way to go 🙂

YES, tea for the win!!! What are your favorite kinds?

More questions, rapid fire! *cracks knuckles*

What are your favorite music artists?

What was the last book you finished reading and did you enjoy it?

Would you rather never have to wash your dishes or clothes (because they’re magically clean)?

If you had to choose one favorite fiction book (say, it’s the only fiction book you can read for the rest of your life), what would it be?

What’s your favorite tourist attraction you’ve ever been to? (national parks, monuments, amusement parks, famous places, etc…). And, if you haven’t been to one you liked, what one would you want to go to?

                      @madelyn

My favorite kinds of tea are as follows:

Bangel Spice, Earl Grey, English breakfast, Honey Vanilla Chamomile, and we’ll finish off with Lemon Ginger!

Favorite music artists… I haven’t found many songs that Matthew West does that I don’t like! I would say, if I had to choose one, it would be him. But I also love a cappella music, so Peter Hollens is another favorite (although he’s not Christian, so I’m careful what I listen to of his)

For electromentals, however, I’ve found that Nocopyrightsounds and Nocopyrightnation have come up in my playlist a lot! Electronomia/Electromantic is a favortie too (looks like they changed their name just recently, hence the /), and this artist does a song every year called “Summersong *insert year number*” and I haven’t found one of those I don’t like yet! Also TonyZ

There is another artist I love, and his name is Florian Bur! He does all sorts of instrumentals, and I like most his work too.

As to the book, I don’t know if you classify as a friend-written-and-not-yet-published book as a book, but I do! So, here goes! I am reading/editing a book written by our very own Elfwing, who is here on KP!

As a general rule… I don’t like reading. (yes, yes, my friends can’t get over the fact that I’m an avid writer and yet hate reading…) But Elfwing’s work is one of the few things I love to read!

As to a hard-cover, published book, the last one I read was called “A desperate road to freedom”, but it’s a part of a series called “Dear Canada”. It is a series of books, but they are real-life journals written by girls in Canada.

XD my reading extent goes pretty much as far as the Bible, and what is required for school. I like reading the Bible tho! I think some of the things in there are just so cool!

Never have to wash my clothes, all the way! I do not enjoy laundry; however, I don’t mind dishes! Most nights after supper one of my older brothers and I will clean up supper/wash dishes and sing our tunes!

As to choosing one fiction book I could only read for the rest of my life, another shoutout to my girl @elfwing. Her book all the way! I absolutely love this gal’s work, and if I could only read her book (for fiction) for the rest of my life, I would be happy with that!

Hmm… good question! Honestly, I haven’t been to many! I’ve been to West Edmonton Mall (Since my grandparents live right by Edmonton). I think I was at the Seattle Space Needle once… but I was young and hardly remember it, so I’ll answer the second half of your question!

My very first pick on places to visit (for tourists) would be Westminster Abby and Cathedral, and Canterbury Cathedral! (Okay, so Canterbury isn’t terribly well known, but the Cathedral is phenomenal!) I am a Latin scholar who is just about to finish her fourth year in Latin, so that’s a large draw to cathedrals, I believe. And the stained glass and… just the beauty they were made with. Anyway. Other than that, I would love to go to New Zealand someday so I can Tolkien fan it there! I would actually love to go with 2 of my older brothers sometimes, as their into that even more than I!

Okay, so I hold to my word when I say I’m long-winded! lol I hope you don’t mind!

Thanks for the questions! I love answering questions!

Snooping on your conversation. I have heard Peter Hollen’s Misty Mountains! Have you heard the covers of Tolkiens various poems and songs by Clamavi De Profundis?! Their Lament of the Rohirrim and Boromirs song are sooo cool. (You’re a Tolkien fan I’m guessing. What’s your favourite book? Character? People group?)

Lol yes, the race is going to be able to smell light! I may have their most common defect as an allergy to a certain colour…. Although It may be difficult with both that and their colourblindness. However, the colour allergy is a non-negotiable idea, so it’s going into my world somewhere!

Lol I have seen about 3 episodes of The Chosen, and I liked them pretty well 🙂 And don’t worry about the odd comment 😉 The more random, the betting things tend to be lol

HAHA Yes, Earl Grey is my second favorite tea! I also drink probably unhealthy amounts.

Yes! I’ve heard his version of that song! Actually I love most versions of that song! Peter Hollens does an entire LOTR album too!

Anyway, I think that’s all I have to say! 🙂 XP
