Of course you would.
Two can play at this game. Maybe I’ll delay the next few chapters of TCoH. 😝

April 21, 2025 at 11:16 am #201893But that’s not fair to the other innocent people reading your book. 😢

April 21, 2025 at 11:20 am #201894I didn’t even do anything to you! We’re all innocent! 😂

April 21, 2025 at 11:22 am #201895I know….. but I’m currently on a good flow with a different book I’m writing….. and I have been swimming in gravel on it up until now. Look, let me finish the chapter and then I’ll try to post something.

April 21, 2025 at 11:23 am #201896It’s ok. I’m mostly teasing you. 😉
Swimming in gravel?
What book is this?

April 21, 2025 at 11:25 am #201897First off, I love that Linus is like,”wait a month to start the next book.”
I finally convince him that I should start it sooner…….
1 month later……….
It happens.
Anyone who cringed at the writing of the last three books, (a.k.a. me) prepare to cringe more. 😭
Looking back on my own work is one of the cringiest things I have done.
But remember, write for the Glory of God. Sola Deo Gloria. If it starts to become cringe, remember that it’s not about you, it’s about Christ. And he will use what you write to His glory! Jesu juva.
Oooh. Moodboard.
Lots of wolves it there. It looks like you reused several pictures from last time. But less this time as well.

April 21, 2025 at 11:25 am #201898Swimming in gravel?
Yes. Think how hard that would be.
What book is this?
Part 2 of a WWII trilogy.

April 21, 2025 at 11:27 am #201900Thanks. I’ll try to keep that in mind.

Yes, I wanted it to still feel very connected to the last one.
Any ideas/thoughts/predictions?!

April 21, 2025 at 11:34 am #2019011)There will be mob fights.
2)Nearly everyone we love will get hurt.
3)Leon and Jullian’s pasts will come back to haunt them.
4)There will not be a plane crash, or a nuclear war.
5)The journal will be continued.
6)Prepare for major fallout to begin from the Prince dying in the last book.
7)Someone is going to meet Jesus, whether through salvation or death. Probably both.

Not at the moment, though hybridlore made some interesting observations with the mask

April 21, 2025 at 11:39 am #201903Woah! Hi!
1)There will be mob fights.
Not sure where you go that from the board, but interesting guess…………
2)Nearly everyone we love will get hurt.
why would you ever think that?! 😢
🤣
3)Leon and Jullian’s pasts will come back to haunt them.
🤔
4)There will not be a plane crash, or a nuclear war.
Oh, well thanks for straightening that out! I had considered it. 😂
5)The journal will be continued.
K, I’ll give you that one as it won’t spoil anything.
6)Prepare for major fallout to begin from the Prince dying in the last book.
*nods happily*
7)Someone is going to meet Jesus, whether through salvation or death. Probably both.
Interesting. I would say a majority of my characters have “met Jesus” because of their salvation. Do you mean meet Him as a sort of character?

April 21, 2025 at 11:49 am #201906Yes, I can see how that would be hard. XD The sequel to the Crimson Rose?
Oh boy. It looks like we’re in for . . . something. I’m starting to be concerned for your characters.

April 21, 2025 at 11:53 am #201907Yes! How did you know about CR?
CR will be released this spring! Super excited about that.
Oh boy. It looks like we’re in for . . . something. I’m starting to be concerned for your characters.
what makes you say that!?

Oh, it was a prediction that came from the general feel of the board, and the last book.
Oh, well thanks for straightening that out! I had considered it. 😂
*Bows* You’re welcome. Glad I could be of service.
Interesting. I would say a majority of my characters have “met Jesus” because of their salvation. Do you mean meet Him as a sort of character?
Eh, no? I meant that a character was either going to get saved, or killed, and at this point probably both. As for having a sort of God character interaction, I guess you already did in Aaron’s death, if you squint really hard and take the “sort of character” thing broadly. XD
But literally having a character die and meet God (not shown, probably more like in Screwtape Letters) could be a good conclusion. I guess that’s what Andrew Peterson did in a way.

Fork the GorkApril 21, 2025 at 11:59 am #201909Ah, I see.
Okay yes, that makes sense. I tend not to write heaven scenes. (I always cringe for that scene in Les Misserables) I don’t know why, but I like to keep clear. Hmm, interesting with the Aaron comment. I’m interested what makes you think that.
I don’t mind Screwtape or Warden and the Wolf King, I like how both of those were done. I think Les Misserables and books like that take it a step too far.
