Hi everybody,
So you know how Kingdom Pen and lots of other websites/blogs have featured images for their posts, which are often really cool-looking and overlaid with the title and site address?
Is there a certain copyright-free resource that people get those pictures from? Or is it okay to just Google search for images and use them? If so, is modifying them with text legal?
(My filmmaking class had a unit last year on copyright, so that’s why I’m a little hesitant to add photos on my blog.)

literatureforthelight.wordpress.comJanuary 10, 2018 at 9:37 am #59632@gh24682468999 Good question. There are a number of copyright-free photo sources out there. We mostly use Unsplash and Pexel. If you’re looking for others, Teachable has a great list here: http://blog.teachable.com/post/120193329843/the-13-ultimate-free-stock-photo-sites As long as you use a site with copyright-free photos, it’s legal to use or modify them in any way without attribution.

Like all image sites, it has some questionable content if you poke in the wrong corners, but overall it’s pretty good.

@gh24682468999 I’ve been using https://www.goodfreephotos.com in my blog (although I’ve only had it a very short time) and so far I like it. You might just have to wade thtough a lot of not-so-good photos to get what you want, but a lot of the images are very professional looking and it’s completely free.

You might already have plenty of responses from others, but I think Pic Monkey and iStock Photos have free pictures.
