The Wormling series is really good. It’s five books long with really short chapters. Also a frank peretie (no idea how to spell that) book nightmare academy.

Kapeefer til we're old and greySeptember 30, 2015 at 12:16 pm #6159🙂 It’s Frank Peretti. I’ve not read either of those series. What are they about, and what do you like about them?
September 30, 2015 at 12:49 pm #6160I highly recommend the “Dragons in our Midst” series by Bryan Davis. As well as the two subsequent series in that story universe.
September 30, 2015 at 4:34 pm #6163I’ve read almost all of Frank Peretti’s books, and really like them. I’ll have to check out Dragons in our Midst…the title of the series sound promising. 🙂
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
October 9, 2015 at 5:45 pm #6445Once again I’m slow on replying. Sorry about that!
@TheHappyBookaholic,
I totally understand about not picking up random library books… I haven’t been in a while but when I did I was very cautious. I have read the Emily of New Moon trilogy, it has been a few years, but I remember some stuff about them. Did you read the Storygirl?
@Alia,
I’ve heard of that somewhere… Who is the author, if I may ask?
@David,
After listening to the Podcast, I started the series and really enjoyed them! I’m hoping to go to the library soon and get the third book as I’ve only read the first two so far.
@Hope,
I’d love to hear if you liked them!
@Kate
I finally finished A Tale of Two Cities (it was a few weeks ago, but I haven’t been on the forum- sorry!) and oh! It was good… I don’t even know it was just, great! 😀
signing off ~HannahOctober 9, 2015 at 7:16 pm #6446Good, Hannah! So… who was your favorite character? 😛
And wasn’t the end scene absolutely mind blowing?
October 10, 2015 at 5:30 pm #6453Oh, Kate… You asked the question. :D. Hmm… I would have to say, Mr. Lorry and Sydney Carlton. Who’s your favorite?
The end scene… It was… amazing. Just wow. 🙂October 10, 2015 at 6:53 pm #6456I like Dr. Lorry too, but Sydney Carton completely blew me away.
Miss Pross is another great character, and Lucie too, only Lucie and Charles Darnay were sort of… ideally perfect. Sydney was the personification of flawed, struggling humanity who rose above every mean and petty thing in the end and found the strength to sacrifice himself for those he loved.
I think the last line of the book will stick with me to the day I die. ‘It is a far, far better deed that I do now, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known’. Did I quote it right?
That is the perfect example of a bittersweet end done well.
October 10, 2015 at 8:33 pm #6457So the authors are Jerry B. Jenkins and Chris Fabry.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyOctober 22, 2015 at 11:45 am #6741@Kate,
I knew I’d get someone’s name wrong! oops.
Yes. All of what you said, just yes. And I’m almost certain that you quoted that correctly.
@Alia,
Ok, that’s probably why it sounded familiar:).October 24, 2015 at 7:13 pm #6813I can’t believe I forgot, Amelia Bedelia! My favorite children’s books.

October 26, 2015 at 11:46 am #6833I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get back.
Rosey, I will definitely try to find the Peleg Chronicles. They sound very interesting.
I don’t really remember why I stopped reading the Red Rock series. Maybe I should get them again.
Frog and Toad is hilarious.
Has anyone read “Chasing the Dragon”? That’s probably the best missionary book I’ve ever read.October 26, 2015 at 12:00 pm #6834Speaking of children’s books… did anyone ever read Cork and Fuzz?
Oh I love Amelia Bedelia! Those were the best books for reading to younger siblings cause if I was real dramatic about how I read them, I could get my younger siblings rolling on the floor with laughter. 🙂

October 26, 2015 at 12:29 pm #6836Yes! Me too! It’s almost become an unspoken contest to see who can read books like that the most dramatically. 😀
The only problem is, when everybody else starts laughing, you start laughing, and then you can’t keep reading! -
