@dekreel Oops. I thought that our copy of Jane Eyre was Pride and Prejudice. I looked at the author for that instead. Typical of me. 😀

October 26, 2017 at 8:45 pm #50076@dekreel I’ve actually read the first three books in the Wingfeather Saga several years ago, and enjoyed them quite a bit. I know the fourth one’s at one of the libraries I go to, and I plan to get it one of the next times I go there. 🙂
October 26, 2017 at 9:43 pm #50096@dekreel Why thank you for tagging me. *hands you feathers*
I do like Ted Dekkar’s books (Though I only read the comics for The Circle and the first two of the Lost Books series. We were moving and I didn’t think I’d have time to read the books. Also I like comics [If they be good!] sometimes.)
Some of my favorite books…
Half Upon A Time Series By James Riley (Really good!)
Story Theives By James Riley (This was the second series he wrote. If you read them, read HUAT first!) [
StoryBound By Marissa Burt (Or was it Malissa Burt? *shakes head*)
The Guardians of Ga’Hoole By Kathryn Lasky (It has some made up swear-words though… But everything else was really well done. [Also this series made me like owls. 🙂 And the sequel series Wolves of the Beyond was pretty good too.])I still need to get my library card!!! More books need to be read!!! I want the next Story Thieves!!!

October 26, 2017 at 10:09 pm #50117@catwing Thank you for the feathers! I shall treasure them in my heart forever knowing that they came from a great friend!
I also like comics! What kind of comics do you like. I like daily “newspaper” comics. My favorites are Foxtrot, Zits and Kevin & Kell…
Ohhh, did you mean the comics from Ted Dekkar?? Pbth, typical me – reading things rapidly and assuming them to say something different than what it actually says. 😛You can pronounce it however you want.
October 26, 2017 at 10:29 pm #50120@dekreel you are most welcome!
I do like newspaper comics. Peanuts, Foxtrot, Zits, etc. But we don’t get the newspaper anymore… 🙁
Also other comics. I have trouble finding good ones. A lot of them have junk. But Squirrel Girl was pretty good [They do have some minor things). But Ben Hakan (or some name like that) has some good ones like Zita the Spacegirl, and Mighty Jack.
Those are intresting. I haven’t read the last two of the Lost books yet… (Library card!)IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
October 27, 2017 at 8:59 pm #50218@catwing *heart swells in delight* Zita the Spacegirl!!!!!!! I love those books! BTW his name is “Hatke” :-3
I follow the comics online – we don’t have newspaper either. 😉
What’s Mighty Jack about? I didn’t know he wrote anything else other than Zita. You can pronounce it however you want.
October 28, 2017 at 1:36 am #50224@dekreel, The Bible is my favourite, but other than that my top ones would have to be
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (its technically one book, so that saves me from choosing which of the three is my favourite)
Little Women by Louisa May Allcott
Through Gates of Splendour by Elisabeth ElliotBut I do have other favourites
Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Pretty much any book by Rosemary Sutcliff
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Passion and Purity and The Shadow of the Almighty by Elisabeth Elliot
God’s Smuggler by Brother Andrew
Joni by Joni Eareckson
I could keep going for ages, but those are some of my absolute favourites.INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.
October 28, 2017 at 9:47 pm #50304@dekreel *cough* It’s been awhile since I read them.
Smart. I don’t do much online stuff though… And I really prefer solid paper. 🙂
Mighty Jack is sort of a Jack and Beanstalk rewrite (Yeah, I like Fairy Tale rewrites.). But Jack lives in the modern day and has a little sister who doesn’t talk much. And of course it has Easter eggs, just like Zita (And Zita Easter Eggs! 😉 ).
This makes me want to read them again.IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
October 28, 2017 at 9:49 pm #50305Oh, @dekreel there are homeschoolers… (In Mighty Jack)
I really liked the book. *waits for the sequel*IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!

This is one of those questions where you know the answer and can rehearse it easily, but when asked its like you get all tongue tied…let me check my list…my favorite series are
1)The WingFeather Saga [by Andrew Peterson}
2)The Chronicles of Prydain [by Lloyd Alexander(5 books)]
3) Lord of the Rings
4) Chronicles of Narnia

November 23, 2017 at 7:08 am #54268@dekreel Hey! (Please prepare for an avalanche of amazing book suggestions! *winks*)
For series, I would have to say Wars of the Realm by Chuck Black and Winds of Light by Sigmund Brouwer, but I also love The Peleg Chronicles by Matthew Harding and The Chronicles of Narnia (who doesn’t, right?). Do you like any of those? 🙂
I tell my story. Not so that I get glory, but so that others may know Hope.
November 23, 2017 at 2:18 pm #54280@emily-d I have read like three and a half books of the Chronicles of Narnia, haven’t read anything else. What’s your favorite Narnia book? I think mine is The Magician’s Nephew
You can pronounce it however you want.
