          @whalekeeper @ellette-giselle @raxforge @hybridlore @rae @grcr @loopylin @the_lost-journal @beth-torres @highscribeofaetherium (I think I got everyone)

Alright! Sorry for the wait, but I’m here to get us moving again.

To quickly recap, I believe that this is where things currently stand:

One group, consisting of Marcel, Leon and Julian, Ben and Flare, Sara, Baron, Marcellus, Felicity, Ellis, and an NPC I haven’t given you a name for yet are somewhere in the city, having just incapacitated a group of Ironwalkers.

Another group consisting of Rina, Jirah, Rosemary, and Rapha are on (or at least were. I think Rosemary and Rapha just fell off and Rina went to help on shore) on a ship heading out of Elderstrand via the Deepwater with Fleet and his group of NPCs.

The last group consisting of Ilahna, Klethen, and Everett is nearby on the shore, under attack by Ironwalkers. Rina came to help them.

I will write an RP for the first group to get us moving forward in just a minute.

Currently, I don’t have a character on the ship (other than Fleet, the NPC), so I’m not going to be doing anything there quite yet.

The group on the shore, I’m still the last person to have RPed for, so if @highscribeofaetherium or @beth-torres could go next, that would be ideal, but if not, I’ll do something to get things moving over there as well.

Oh, and @rae, do you need help deciding on a place to introduce your new character?

                Ellis — Elderstrand (Group 1)

The newcomer stared in astonishment as the armored creatures sagged and went still. “That was…incredible…” he stammered, still in shock. “No wonder–”

Just then, there was a prolonged wailing blast of a horn. The man stiffened. “We have to go!”

                “What is that–?” Ellis began.

“A warning,” the stranger said. “For the townsfolk to get off the street.”

                “Why–”

“They’re releasing the Scrabblers. No,” he added as some of the group looked ready to stay and fight. “They are not like the Ironwalkers. They are feral beasts. They will not take our surrender. If they find us, they will kill us. And there are too many to fight. Come on. This way!”

The man leapt off the roof to the street below and began to run.

Well, I do have that handy google doc, so it isn’t terribly hard, especially considering that there are only three groups.

I was thinking of adding two more characters and sending Felicity on a short rescue mission for one of them, but I’ve been delaying it. If I do that now, would that completely derail your plans? I can figure out a different way to introduce them if you’d rather

The plan right now is basically: get everyone to the ship. So, I wouldn’t think it would be a problem. Worst case scenario, you would be responsible for getting your characters there without an NPC to help.

                        Felicity

As Felicity listened to the stranger, some odd movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention.

A couple feet away from her stood a brick chimney. Drawn in dark ink on its wall, a two-dimensional cartoon rabbit was waving at her. He wore a pair of overalls, and currently was about three feet tall, though, since he was in the middle of the narrow brick wall, he was level with Felicity’s chest.

Felicity gave a surprised start. “Benny? What are you doing here? Where’s Bria?”

The rabbit, Benny, flinched away as a particularly large raindrop splashed at his feet. He already had several smudges blurring his outline. He looked at Felicity with wide eyes and began frantically miming something.

“Oh, not this again. I hate charades. Uh… You’re jumping? Pulling? A box? Angry?  You’re mad at a box?”

Benny stamped his foot in frustration and shook his head, ears flapping silently. Felicity rolled her eyes.

“I’m trying, okay? What? Are you holding… bars? Prison bars?”

He gave a sudden leap of excitement and tapped his nose.

“Bars… Bria’s been captured.” A growl came into Felicity’s voice as the realization settled.

Benny nodded and beckoned her to follow. Then he dashed away, folding around the corners and angles of the building. Felicity followed, declaring loudly as she passed the mysterious newcomer, “Thanks for the warning, but I’ve got a kid in trouble. I’m going after her. I’ll meet you guys at the river later if I’m still alive.”

Anyone is welcome to join this little side quest if they want

Some extra explanation in case that rp didn’t make sense: Benny is essentially a living drawing made of enchanted ink. He is entirely 2 dimensional and can travel anywhere across mostly flat surfaces. He can grow and shrink in size. He can’t talk or make noise, but he’s very expressive so people can typically understand him anyway. Except Fel. She struggles.

Here’s some very low effort doodles of him. I can’t find my good drawings.

@loopylin I remember that guy; you’ve drawn some very cool doodles of him before. 🙂 I didn’t think you were going to integrate him into the Fel&Lois story, but it makes sense.

                                @everyone

I had a new idea, and I’m wondering what people would think about this.

In short, my proposal is, what if we split the group? Some people could go with Felicity and then have to find another way to get out of the city.

One reason to do this is, I don’t want to force the characters to go certain places (the ship in this instance), so it seems like a good idea to take this opportunity to let them make their own choices.

Additionally, smaller groups are a bit easier to manage, and it might make this a bit easier to stay on track.

loopylin has already invited other characters to go with, but I’m just suggesting that we let this turn into a longer term plot development rather than just a short side quest.

That definitely makes sense. When there’s one big group, it’s kind of hard to RP. I’m up for it.
