Rosemary and Jirah (Elderstand w/Rina)\
“We are not following those strangers!” Jirah yelled to Rina. But she was already too far down to listen, or care. “Why not?” Rosemary asked in a mocking voice. “We only just met them, besides…” She turned in the direction of Rina, “Rina simply most know everything, so we should follow with out taking any time to consider what may happen!” Rosemary jeered. “Rosemary we have to follow Rina, she helped me rescue you.” Jirah explained. “You did not rescue me, I was working out a plan of my own… You just…” She pauses trying to think of a way to put it. “You just gave me a little push to get it started.” Rosemary said, “Fine, Rina I can’t bare to be with her anymore!” And Jirah quickly followed behind. Rosemary scoffed in an offended way.

The group shivered, plastered against the side of the wall. Ellis gave Marcel a warning gesture towards the left street, and stared up at where the soldiers’ feet pattered above.
“Hey!” Their silence didn’t help. One of the soldiers in the street patrol pointed in their direction. “There are more troublemakers!”
More? Marcel held up his hands and stepped forward amiably in front of the others, towards the patrol. “Um, we’re just out looking for good puddles. Have you seen any?”
“Curfew still exists, you know,” the soldier snarled. “And no weapons allowed. Put ‘em down.”
Marcel dropped his staff.
When the soldier came closer, he flicked forward the heel of his foot. A feathery strand – the same form-shifting substance as before – tripped the man and sent him falling over the cobblestones.
The four travelers made a dash for it, Marcel picking up his staff and quickly following. They ran and slipped down an opposite road. The patrol yelled after them, their voices melding with the dull thunder of the night storm.
Marcel looked back over his shoulder, and linked his arm in Sara’s, helping her speed up. “We need to… hide somewhere…”

She glanced around and saw an abandoned-looking alley. “What about there?”
@everyone else If our characters are going to meet up, maybe now would be a good place to do it?

Everett – Elderstrand with Ilahna and Klethen
Everett’s eyes squinted as he tried to make out further details about the cloaked figures until the man told them to run and they apparently would not be able to fight the creatures. He quickly went after the two who had bolted off.
(I’m also not sure what to write at the moment, sorry. It’s really short.)

November 5, 2024 at 11:59 am #189206You’re good. It wasn’t that long.
I’ll let you go next unless you don’t want to, I’m not sure what I’d do rn. But if you want me to I could probably do something.
Signature is limited to 100 characters? That seems awfully unjust. We refuse to be bound by these ru

Ellis —— Elderstrand (w/ Marcel, Felicity, Sara)
Ellis nodded. “Let’s go. Quick!”
The group slipped into the alley and waited in silence as the soldiers neared the street.
“Spread out!” someone shouted. “They must be here somewhere.”
Ellis gripped his sword tight, prepared to silence the first person who might appear.

@rae @raxforge @ellette-giselleAs Hybridlore suggested, this could be a good point for the groups to meet. If they’re nearby, your characters are probably aware of the patrol.

Rina —— Elderstrand
“Where…are we going?” Rina panted as the group ran on.
“The city is being locked down,” Fleet responded. “We won’t be able to get through any of the gates. So, we’re heading for the river. We escape by water.”
Rina wasn’t entirely sure how that was supposed to work, but she didn’t press the matter.
The group passed through an alley and emerged into another street.
“Hey! There they are!” someone shouted. Rina glanced to the left. A group of soldiers was running towards them.”
“This way!” said Fleet, steering them to the right. “We’re nearly there!”

Ilahna —— Elderstrand (w/ Klethen and Everett)
Ilahna ran blindly, following Klethen’s form in the dark ahead. She couldn’t manage a song while running, so she had no way to sense if anyone was nearby.
She could tell by sound, however, that the armored creatures were still behind them.

That’s all I’ve got right now. I’m thinking it might make the most sense for them to meet up with the group heading for the river. (That way I don’t have to have to many groups of NPCs running around.) But for now, someone else can go if you have anything to add.

I don’t have anything right now, I might later, but nobody has to wait for me to go.

November 5, 2024 at 4:59 pm #189225Jirah and Rosemary (Elderstand w/ Rina)
(Sorry! she did follow, I meant to add that after she scoffed!)
They quickly followed the men down another path, Jirah saw a a tree growing in an ally, “I think I can buy us some time!” He put his hands out, and as if he was pulling up a trap door his hands went up. And when he did so roots came from the ground and grabbed onto the soldiers. “Quickly! They will cut through them soon!”
Rosemary froze looking back at the guards, she then wrote down in her book the word match. She lit the match and was about to throw it at them, but Jirah grabbed her hand. “What are you doing?! That would burn them alive!” Jirah exclaimed. “You don’t think I know that?!” Rosemary answered back, “They do not deserve a chance at life!” She said bitterly. “They were going to throw me in a dungeon! After accusing me of something I never did!” Rosemary dropped the match, “But if you say so.” She smiled and turned away.
Why would she do that?! Jirah thought to himself. Jirah made the roots grow stronger to by them more time, then he ran to catch up to them. “Jirah, I still do not trust them. I believe they are going to trick us~!” She said suspiciously. “We are at the river!” One of the men called out, “Hurry before the guards get here!”
Rosemary wrote down a word that Jirah couldn’t see, she then quickly hid it in the pocket of her dress. What is she planning? And why haas she been so obsessed with fire lately?

Our characters are right next to yours, see below.
Marcel — Elderstrand (w/Ellis, Fel, Sara)
The four travellers tried to look inconspicuous in the dark. Their soaked clothes mostly blended in with the background. Marcel noticed Felicity’s bright hair, and motioned for her to shove her cap over it. She tugged on the brim begrudgingly.
Soldiers’ voices called out to each other, and boots scuffled back and forth at the alley mouth.
Farther down where they had first come in, Marcel made out the faint impressions of figures. They stood a couple buildings down, and carefully picked their way along an alley junction. Wherever they were going, it wasn’t to the guards, and it was done under cover of shadows.
Marcel furrowed his brow, and eased his way along the wall into a patch of moonlight. Hopefully the strangers would see him before the soldiers did.
